I’ve been searching for that dream from long ago
It was like a fairy tale, yet incomparably sacred
At that time, I signed a contract in heaven
I kept descending, just to fulfll my mission
Reincarnating again and again, lost in the sea of suffering
Finally that distant dream becomes true
The Creator has come to spread Dafa [Great Law], saving beings to high levels
For this I came down to the world to wait for the Fa
I have fulflled the contract from a prehistoric time
What is taking place is not a fairy tale
Many people have the same dream as I

1- He is not asking for boots on the ground. Given the Iranian geography and history of superpower invasions, that would have disastrous consequences that PBD doesn't want for neither Iran or the USA. It would only destroy both and benefit our enemies.
2- What he and most Iranians want (I'm one of them, and trust me when I say that at least 80% of us don't want the current foreigners in charge of our country anymore) is a slight nudge from the American intelligence since we lack the hard power (weapons) or the organization to do it. Btw, Iran is a civilizational state, not a tribal country like most of the region. So you are not going to get another Syria or Libya.

The really sick part is Iran was a fairly modern democracy up until the 70's, when they made the oh so grave mistake of wanting to nationalize their oil industry
(Aka use their oil to meet their own needs & sell the excess to OPEC - rather than forced to sell it to OPEC first, then buy some of it back at a profit for OPEC...)
The US & UK overthrew their moderate, democratically elected government and replaced it with a brutal dictator that ruled under a brutally heavy hand for decades...
So it might not be that Iran doesn't want the western lifestyle.
It could be that there is enough well-deserved paranoia, distrust, and sheer anger & resentment that they'll be wanting America to just f**k right off for a while yet, regardless of what we're trying to sell them

we have the most intelligent, young Persians who now understand how liberal democracy and progressives' society works, inside/outside Iran. Numbers involved are staggering.
IMHO, No outside help needed :) we know what we need to achieve and how to get to our destination,
and when we get there. Once we arrived, expect, current regime and Islamist to be uprooted already, any east and west influential effort to infiltrate into Iran's newly constructed political system will be defused and barred from entering Iran's new parliamentary system.
With the help of all bright, intelligent, scholars, nationalist Persians, Iran will be build around the enforcement of the most effective constitutional laws with an strong layer of rule of law rapped around it.
from that point on, Iran like any other modern countries, will be interested to work with any country, only and if their desire and fundamentals of the cooperation with Iran is based on "good values" not deception.

The Shah refused to extend the contract five years. Both the US and Britain withdrew support from the Shah and got the French to fly Khomanie back to Iran. US and British interests wanted religious lunatics to overthrown the Shah and throw the country into chaos. They anticipated they would be able to find a lackey to take over when the Theocracy falls in 200 or 300 days. Russia has nothing to do with it.
