One motivation of Putin that nobody's mentioning is what a middle finger to the US it is to keep Snowden alive and well. And the fact that he can successfully keep Snowden safe is a flex of Russian power to stand up to the US. The reason the US is so adamant to get Snowden is not because he continues to pose any actual threat to the government. Punishing Snowden would be entirely symbolic, just like giving him asylum is entirely symbolic.
How so? Snowden was a low level peon, working for a contractor to the US government. It's not like he led the NSA or anything more than a lemonade stand.

We all love (or some maybe hate) Patrick, and have all different opinions on him. On the other side it is safe to say we all share the same fact knowing about him, by saying Patrick is a smart wel educated man, succesful in life, by hard work, stil reading to educate himself instead of do nothing what is the same as fall down and going back.

Apple has since removed the film Snowden from its library. Gone even though I purchased it. I have two phones. One hasn’t been connected to the net and it remains downloaded there. The other is connected to the net and the film is no longer available. Might hint at the extent of the reach of the interests involved. Odd…
