Comparing to other Country athletes she had no facilities to come to this level .as i remember Government did nothing to bring her to this level . she had no money to even buy spikes at that time . this women really lifted my country up in to top level . she never had proper training and support . Truly unbelievable . still can't believe that how did she tolerate everything . Much respect u and as a srilankan and athlete i am really proud of u . 🙏❤

The fact that she was close to win the gold medal impress me because the real fight was between Susanthika and the gold winning runner, the first Usa runner was doping…so she lost her gold medal.
Susanthika Jayasinhe who won the Silver Medal in that Olympic 200m was denied her well deserved moment in history by this thief, Marion Jones. I will never forgive her for not coming out clean sooner. This was just the second and the last medal Sri Lanka won in whole of Olympics history.
