Jay, thanks for this video. The breathing exercises you've shared with me over the years have helped me lose my "tinny" vocal quality. I also sound better when sharing my passion for my topic, speaking to an attentive audience and really believing that I do indeed come across as resonant and certain. If we really think we sound resonant and certain, we have a far better chance of winning over a room of any size. And practice is also vital to our voice improvement.
It's a shame that a lot of ones voice is determined by those physiological differences. When listening back to recordings of it, I often feel my voice is more nasally and not quite as deep as I'd have liked (just based on the voices which I personally enjoy listening to). And I've never had a particularly large vocal range. It's very reasurring to know that some of it, a substantial amount, can be changed though. Thanks for that, I'll be looking into it.
Hi. I have hoarse voice and I think that’s the reason why I can’t passed my interview in BPO Industry. How can you help me have a pleasant voice? Thank you
Hi, Krystal.I'm sure it's frustrating to feel that the quality of your voice might be impacting your career. You might want to visit my web site, voice and speech dot com, and try the free mini courses, or you could email me directly for some information about training options. I'd love to help.
I'm sorry to hear you're getting hassled about it. Boys' voices typically change between 12 and 16 years of age, so you have no reason to worry. Those other people are probably insecure about their own development.
The Cleveland Clinic website states that boys' voices typically change between 12-16 years of age. They state that if a boy's voice hasn't "settled" by 17 then a pediatrician should be consulted. I'm not a speech therapist but my instinct tells me that it's a bit early to worry. Perhaps someone with more experience with adolescent voices could add to this conversation?

I'm over simplifying, but nasality can be reduced with soft palate exercises, and depth can be enhanced with more chest and back resonance.
Thanks Jay! I appreciate u

@@voiceandspeechdo girls voices change?
Yes, just not as drastically as boys' voices. @PeanutANDJelly
@@voiceandspeech do they get higher or lower?
Girls' voices deepen by a couple of tones and the change is barely noticeable.@@MaddieM_11
