Pretty interesting how there were so many versions. It's amazing the Colecovision didn't beat the Atari in sales back then.
By the time Colecovision released the Atari was already five years old and had a chokehold on the video game market
@@turbomario Nah, the main reason the ColecoVision died off was the timing of the Video Game Crash. It actually had initially strong market appeal, but then people just became disinterested in general. Atari could recover from it due to their success, but it ultimately killed off ColecoVision in the process.

I like how Dk Jr (or just Dk because he's the modern Dk) just casually lifts Dk (or cranky Kong) like if he weighs nothing
Modern DK (Red tie) is actually DK Jr's son, meaning that modern DK's name is Donkey Kong the 3rd. Junior showed up in the SNES Mario Kart, and N64 Mario Tennis, then he kind just disappeared.

I remember having the "Donkey Kong II" game and watch as a clock, and spent lots of allowance/yard money getting batteries for it. Good times. The Arcade, Nintendo-made, and Atari-computer/8-bit versions all were good.

I played all three DONKEY KONG games on the NES, and also the first DONKEY KONG (Ocean) on the Commodore 64, and they were all great 😺👍🕹️.
But i think, the Arcade, ColecoVision and Coleco ADAM versions of this game look absolutely amazing 😺👍🕹️.

Donkey Kong Jr is one of my favourite Arcade games because it’s the first and only game we’re Mario is the bad guy. Wow Mario your second appearance and your already a villain Bowser would be laughing at this and Nintendo did him dirty. Hey Sega why don’t you make your mascot Sonic a villain a villain for once like Mario. Mario may be older but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t do it for a change And hey maybe we’ll get a Eggman Jr game some day witch is a possibility but very unlikely

@@turbomario Wrecking crew was Designed by Yoshio Sakamoto, it was first released as an arcade game .
Arcade system: Nintendo VS. System
Release: July 26, 1984 > Arcade (Vs. Wrecking Crew). I suppose one could argue that Wario World's bad ending is the canon one, where Wario doesn't rebuild his castle. But honestly, that's kind of a letdown considering how many castles Mario has blown up. It's possible that he still owns the castle, but uses the smaller house as a second home for the WarioWare games .

I like to imagine that Bowser actually made an evil clone of Mario, and kidnapped the real Mario so he couldn't save Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong JR. from this evil Mario who kidnapped his dad.

@@BambiMinion no, donkey Kong Jr is set before mario goes to the mushroom Kingdom, meaning that the last time bowser saw mario was in Yoshi's island

I should probably be surprised the Famicom Disc version didn't more closely resemble the Arcade version.

I have never played Donkey Kong Jr in the Arcade, I only ever played it on the Atari 2600, Intellivision, Atari 7800, and NES.
