I love how smooth your animations are, unlike other animators.
This actually looks easier than regular Donkey Kong.

I think the same thing except for that one part with the fireball and the spike ball chasing him off the edge (Side note, what happened to the fireball after that attempt? It's just conveniently gone, making it possible to pass.) I think the main reason is that there's a lot of points where he could just stop and reorient himself if this was a real game. It needs something consistently chasing him upwards, so he can't rest and catch his breath, like rising lava, for example.
Agree, you might lose a life at a couple of the gimmicks figuring out what they do. But other than that there isn't much to it.
This looks like it’d actually work as a level in the Game Boy version (DK ‘94).
It's also more fun though.

Jumpman is actually the alternate name of this red plumber, which is Mario we popularly know. Certain materials for the arcade version used the alternate name Jumpman
