Augmented Reality is a powerful tool, and the best part is that this video is in the realm of possibility. In fact, I could just make this on Lens Studio and turn this into a playable Snapchat filter if I wanted to. The only thing stopping me - legal stuff.
Watching this was so trippy and cool at the same time. I would love if something like this was actually released in VR and made a reality. Someone needs to take this idea and make it real. I'd be playing this all and every day. Awesome job, this is out of this world.
Holy crap, from the thumbnail I thought it might have been a 3d printed art piece or something similar, but then when DK started I realized what it really was and, wow, that's freaking cool. I'd love to live in a world where these old games are playable as ARGs.
What do mean afraid of? Are you even aware of the AR Nintendo has done? If there were ever a company to take a chance and innovate AR to this degree it would be Nintendo.
We Are all One step closer to putting on a VR helmet and actually becoming Mario jumping over barrels and climbing ladders. This is a pretty badass first step towards that reality.
@@retrohead I've seen it as well :) This DK game would also look so cool using the Lenovo AR glasses I have(star wars one's)🤓 or the Quest 2 in passthrough mode/side loaded. I wonder if you just rendered it or used some kind of AR for it?!? Pretty sweet :) I wish Nintendo would release AR glasses with games like this. I could get behind that. You could also release your own version of this for an existing platform out there. People would pay for stuff like this for sure.
This is amazing, I'm subbed. I was actually looking for Augmented Reality games to see if I can find a game with AI battles that I can do on my desk but I'm glad I found this channel. Really enjoying watching these and you did great job with creating the games on AR. It looks so alive!
As a kid of the 70s, this is how gaming has been to me for the past 5+ years... It would be more widespread if you kids from the 2000s would come aboard the VR/AR revolution in the medium of playing games
Dude! This is the coolest thing. I would love to play something like this. Would love to get a load of the other screens. As a DK fanatic, I was thrown by the font of the points--but I own multiple DK machines and made it to the finals of The Kong Off....
Amazing. Feels like I glimpse into my past and future some how. The game and sound instantly familiar but in future format. Clever choice of game to demonstrate. Great upload. New subscribe.
Eesh, even when I was a kid... I took the 2600 as it was (and was actually NOT a 2600 game i owned, and we owned quite a bit 2600 games)..., but the Colecovision version was so much better... it even came with the system!
Lol. Glad I’m not the only one who caught this is either the NES or the Arcade version of DK. Though I miss the 2600 fireballs that looked like genie lamps.
Seriously doubt there is any AI going on here or actual gameplay. Looks like a canned animation played back in AR in realtime. But happy to be proved wrong with some evidence.
@@GeoffSuttor Animations would work if everything in the game was done with animations. That's how I did some of my previous videos. very interesting , imagine jumping into vr where you change your surroundings , IE a million dollar home ,invite your friends and all are hangin out and talking to each and also playing retro games that come to life. like the example shown above. give it another 5 to 10 years. will need high bandwidh , faster computers , and AI computing behind the scenes
Imagine you've been addicted to playing this for a couple of hours and then your parents see your room is filled with tiny pixel barrels on the floor.
🤣
And then you see billy mitchel staring at you through your bedroom window
@@TraumfresserBMofficial a lawyer a day keeps the billy Mitchell away.

*2 Years Later* everyone finds out that u can plug in your nes to your vr headset and play it or download it
Now we need Super Mario Bros. in AR. I'd love to see that.

we might not be that far from that day !
This is the kind of thing Nintendo of Japan needs to get behind, rather than be afraid of.
yea that'd be nice lol
@Ruby Williams innovation will take us away from FPSs and GTA clones though.
They've done AR games with the 3DS.
What do mean afraid of? Are you even aware of the AR Nintendo has done? If there were ever a company to take a chance and innovate AR to this degree it would be Nintendo.
@@JoelTheSaunders it's funny how the 3DS had all these "toys" to play with, but now they have the Switch which is strangely minimalist for some reason
