We filmed it in different locations (especially in #Vasto): retired people club, Bocciodromo, fruit, salami, cheeses and fish market, piazzas and so on.

This makes me cry. My grandparents were both from the area around Chieti. Grandpa was a shepherd before he came over. My father wouldn't let me learn to speak the dialect because he said, "We live in America now, so we must speak American!" I studied Italian in college for two years but that is, of course, nothing like Abbruzzese.

Sono abruzzese amo la. Mia terra da morire!! Ho capito tutto il dialetto è molto particolare e bello. Io lo parlo sempre. Mio padre lo parlava benissimo. Non potrei vivere in nessun altro posto le mie radici sono qui nel chietino, il mare la montagna e tutte le sue bellezze naturali le nostre tradizioni, la nostra cucina. E poi siamo forti e gentili, tipicamente abruzzesi ❤❤❤

Man I grew up in abruzzo and when i was 12 years old i moved to prague and lost most of the abruzzese and its very sad for me because i love abruzzo

quando e' arrivato a " chi ssciucis la zapp.." non ho retto, sono scoppiato a ridere cosi forte che l'ufficio si e' fermato. Nel proverbio la zappa e' sinonimo di ignoranza ..eppure ho imparato piu' un giorno in cui ho zappato per 8 ore con mio nonno che in 5 anni di universita

I’m from São Paulo, Brazil and my grandparents are from Torino di Sangro. When I saw this video, I can see my grandpa playing bocce in 90s with his pals from The Circolo Abruzzese di San Paolo… I’m missing him so much… this video it’s a good remember for me

My paternal grandparents were from the Province of Chieti, Torino di Sangro al mare; my cousins live in that lovely city, Vasto! I visited the home town once many years ago when I was in my 20s. Hearing that dialect made me teary eyed because I haven't heard it in decades; Grandpa died at age 98 in 1976. In Abruzzo the family and their friends were all so kind to me and spoke 'proper' Italian because that's what I had studied and I couldn't understand the dialect but listening to it was amazing.
