    You guys & gals are crushing it in the innovation department! I've been using quite a few of your products since I returned to brewing this past fall after an 18+ year hiatus. I have been so impressed with your products that my brewery is starting to look like a KegLand commercial set 😂

      Couldn’t agree more. Those new duo tight disconnects are great (until you have to remove the beer line! ). Replaced everything in my set up with them. The beer line cleaner that screws onto a bottle is really neat. So quick to just run some starsan or whatever through a line. And the beer line tidy things. I could go on!

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes that is a good point. We forgot to mention that if you use this device you really want to reduce your beer line length otherwise you would have double resistance from your beer line and also from this device. I dont think I explained that in enough detail but sounds like you worked it out.

    I was looking forward for this device, but I am sorry to say that I am quite disappointed so far... From my tests, it does not work as good as a classic tap with compensator :( I mean it regulates the flow, but it does not prevent the foaming of the beer (compared to a classic tap with compensator the beer foams A LOT). Tried it with more beer line lengths (1 to 3 meters, 6 mm OD) and the beer temp is 6°C, but no luck so far... any suggestions? Thanks.

      @davidkovarik483 Před rokem

      EDIT: I just watched the video again and I noticed, that you mentioned that the beer line has to be pushed deep into the duo tight. The thing is that I pluged a reduction straight into duo tight (from 8mm to 6mm), it was very hard to push it in and also nearly impossible to pull it out. Maybe the reduction was the problem, because I am not sure that it was long enough (the male part of the reduction) to be plugged to the bottom (where the marker is on the ball lock). Will try the device with the 8mm hose (no roduction) and update you.

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes you can get a lot of restriction with these FC ball lock disconnects. In fact you can get so much restriction you can almost turn the flow completely off. For this reason it's best to use larger internal beer line such as the 5mm ID and you only need about 1 meter with these disconnects and then leave all the flow control upto the disconnect.

    • @KegLand
      @KegLand  Před rokem

      That sounds really strange. I have never heard of this before. Did you freeze the keg and then now it's defrosted. This can cause beer to go watery.

      If high carbonated beer isn't flow controlled enough you will just pour foam.

      In a tight kegerator where space is at a premium, being able to shorten your beer lines is a godsend.

      I have about 5ft of line in my kegarator and haven't had a problem yet.

    • @scottmorrison9731
      @scottmorrison9731 Před 2 lety +1

      I have about 8 ft of line x 4 taps in mine. It's not a huge issue but the coiled up lines do get messy and jumbled up from time to time. I also have them set at a few different lengths so I can run my beers at various volumes of CO2 and still get a good pour. When I change out a keg, if the free line isn't the optimum length the pour will suffer. Having these flow control ball locks would eliminate that issue entirely. I could run short lines to all 4 kegs and optimize the pour by simple adjusting the flow. Cheers!

      From what I undertand 99% of our customers love them and we have a very small number who have made a warranty claim. Of those warranty claims most of these seem to be misuse so I think we need to educate our customres better so even this 1% can get a better experience. If you let us know what exact issue you have had though I am sure we can assist you better.

      Not sure which planet you are from, but in my world the duotight are fantastic. Not one of my brewing friends have even remotely had a bad thing to say about them. Quite the opposite really. I hear nothing but raves. We do, however, follow the recommendations and cut our lines square and discard a couple centimeters when they show signs of abrasion.
