Two things:
1) the way they discuss the feelings before going on stage is 10000% relatable bc I am just like Trixie before going on stage(used to be in a band that had singing and dancing)
2) Trixie talking about the hateful self talk she has? If you wanna practice this(cause I have been), the hateful thought comes and just say aloud “I do not receive that”. It’s been so helpful for me(at 31), to stop treating myself like garbage 😎😅😅😅

I used to be a ballet dancer who usually got the lead roles and what helped me when it came to being nervous and feeling like shit was looking at those thoughts from a different perspective. The physical symptoms of nervousness are nearly indistinguishable from those of excitement and I held onto that. If I thought "fuck, I‘m so nervous, what if I fuck up?" I instead transformed that statement into "I‘m so excited because I practiced this forever and I want to and deserve to do well", basically cutting the self doubt out of it completely. That really helped me!

Hearing you talking about all the effort, concerns, logistics and feelings you have to go trough before and during the tour is actually so cool and so important. We (the fans) usually forgot that you are humans and those hours of show that we get to see are just a tiny bit of all. I appreciate you so much! When I got the opportunity to meet Katya she just hugged me even before I said anything and that was so important to me, now I value that moment even more. I couldn't get tickets for this tour but I'm so proud and so excited every time I found a bit on social media. You two are killing it!

@@jamescartier8728 for this one it’s definitely towards the end! I don’t remember the exact time but when Katya is talking about her face mask around the third ad break that’s when they start talking about plastic surgery. And then the sign off here comes about 15 minutes earlier than in the Spotify/Apple versions and for the most part that’s when they discuss the rest of the topics I mentioned. It’s different every time so it’s not necessarily at the end of the episode and it’s also not always this much that’s cut out but it was more obvious this time. The other one I can remember off the top of my head is in the last podcast when they talked about Björk. Trixie mentioned that her band discussed wearing Björk Swan outfits for a performance but that was cut out of the video too. So this has happened a couple of times lol. I’m not sure why they do it, maybe it’s a time limitation thing for CZcams? Hope this helps!

I was a musical theatre actress for ten years and it has been longer than that now since I have been in a different, non-performing career and I STILL have anxiety dreams that I’ve missed costume changes, cues, or I’m being pushed onstage for a show that I didn’t rehearse or don’t know my lines for. I don’t get anxiety dreams about my actual career now, but the theatre dreams will never stop. That shit STICKS WITH YOU.

Thank you both for acknowledging how dangerous it is to be a horseback rider! As a former rider who is now dealing with the aches and pains from being in the sport for years, it's nice to see non-riders aware of how taxing it can be on the body. Horseback riding is just as dangerous as professional football, with even higher rates of head injuries. But you rarely see that talked about or acknowledged by people outside or even inside the industry most of the time, so that was a little moment of joy for me. Wear a helmet everyone!

My sister and I went to the show on the 15th and loved it! Drove from Sacramento to see it. Wasn’t expecting it to go as late as it did and almost got our car locked into a parking garage bc they tried to lock up 5 mins early but otherwise loved it!!
Since we couldn’t take pictures or videos we will be needing a lookbook of all the outfits. So many pieces I loved and want to try to make myself but right now I can only remember Katya’s opening outfit and Trixie’s mortal combat look. 💜
