In my opinion, Mason is the dark version of Phelps. Both are extremely well educated, cultured and skilled nen who want to display their talents to the world while hiding their dark secrets. The difference is that Cole uses his skills to solve crimes, whereas Mason commits them.
A dark counterpart, an antithesis even. I like your evaluation. Rockstar like doing that with the protagonist and the antagonist most of the cases - some layers of imagination with some stark contrast.
Mason is educated to do the wrong things tho thats da problem
Still the biggest F-You in gaming to me, turns out all the murders are connected to a serial killer, and then you don’t get honor for solving the case.
That's kinda the point.
Well you do technically solve it. Unofficially, but solved.
I didn't like it either. Thought it made more sense as seperate murder cases. This should have been one long serial killer case
Even still, while LA won't know what you did, the world will unknowingly sleep better now that the dahlia prick is nothing but worm food
@@Dullahan161 That's the point of the story they were going for though. Afterall police corruption is a major theme in this games story especially in the final two desks of the game (Vice and Arson)
This mission Cole became Sherlock Holmes when it comes to mystery games.
He's a *detective* isn't he?
@@vals_but unlike sherlock Cole is unhinged with interrogations that are out right funny
Technically he is Sherlock holmes if you think about it 🤷🏽♂️
I like how Cole has his hands up while being held at gunpoint while Rusy doesn't give a shit.

I have been binge watching your Ace Attorney and L.A. Noire walkthrough professional
Same here I love his ace attorney vids
I laughed so hard that after Cole fell, he dislocated his arm lol
You should create a poll on:
Which framed suspects (Alonzo Mendez, Eli Rooney, Clem Feeney, Stuart Ackerman, and Grosvener McCaffrey) you think were the biggest scumbag and should stay at prison.
No doubt Rooney would be up there
Rooney and I don’t think it’s close.
The murder room found in the house next to the church is one of the most unsettling things in the game and is heavily implied to be the place where Elizabeth Short (The Black Dahlia) was murdered. In real life, her body was found in a vacant lot cut in half through the waist with the edges of her mouth cut open like the Joker from Batman. Its generally believed that she was killed and mutilated somewhere discreet and then her body left in the lot where she was found.
But in L.A Noire's timeline, its been six or seven months since then, which means if that is her blood and entrails, they would be rotting and decomposed horrendously. Regardless, there have been hints dropped since the beginning about Mason being the killer:
In the Red Lipstick Murder, you see the killer drag the first victim out of a brown Ford Coupe.
In The Silk Stocking Murder, both the suspected husband and the market owner testify to seeing the victim in the company of a man driving a brown Ford Coupe. Strange the police didn't follow that up and seek out the driver. In that same case, the regular barman at the Eldorado bar says he and a "temp guy" were working that night and that the victim, Mrs Maldonado, and he became well acquainted as he served her drinks.
When you visit her room at the boarding house, you find her window jimmied with a iron picket taken from the fence outside the Christ Church of Thorns. The missing part of the fence can be seen when Cole and Rusty arrive at 1:01:55
In the White Shoe Slaying when you question James Jessop, he says that the victim "poured her heart out to some bartender" when they were out.
A number of the victims were strangled with triple braid rope. The coroner says such rope is normally used for mooring lines but that it is "sometimes used for bell rope in churches". Since he lurks around the church, he had a ready supply on hand, though in the case of the White Shoe Slaying, he may have cut off a length from her husbands boat to try and implicate him.
I had a lot of fun with this game driving around like a maniac, stealing cars then forming a wall at intersections, taking rusty out for hour long detours, assaulting pedestrians and being an incompetent detective during interrogations
41:05 The real life location is called La Brea Tar Pits and Museum.
yeah, Mammoths would get stuck in the tar pits and predators would also get stuck trying to get the mammoth. Its a predator trap and is common in prehistory
@@jurassicarkjordanisgreat1778Amazing that they never decomposed and stayed with their flesh intact all these years 😮
Thanks for the video Pro. I really hate this case because the captain's attitude was disrespectful with Cole and Rusty cause they solved a big case.
Yeah I would’ve told the captain something like “The sword of justice failed this time” to insult him.

lore video on garett mason?
30:32 My back!
I could be wrong but the rumors say that the LA.Noire crew are making their own game but I forgot what it is
underrated masterpiece
I’ve been waiting for this part!!!
One of the things I never understood is how no one in the area thought it was suspicious that there were lights on in a church that was known to be abandoned…
Homicide is the best story arc in the game. Hope one day a sequel is made and we get more cases along with a new homicide case arc. You can get an achievement if you kill the bad guy in the catacombs.
that tar pit location is the creepiest place I've ever seen in the game; I played the game with the black & white filter and I just wanted to get out of that place as fast as possible. I do my best to avoid looking at the animal statues because they get under my skin
I really enjoyed your play though of La Noire Keep up the amazing work pro
Detective Patrick reporting for duty!
I took forensic science back at high school, if you write a letter with your handwriting it will be traced
The game is in 1947 and also he could write differently for the sake of the letter.
Pershing square is in GTA SA and GTAV (Legion Square)
You should do top 5 worst missions and activities in L.A Noire. Like literally this is one of the worst designed missions that I have ever saw in this playthrough.
Finally the black Dahlia killer is revealed the bar tender Garrett Mason Great work Detective Mr Professional
Relative of Alex Mason. It’s how Dragovich discovered this soldiers potential into being their sleeper agent.
I seen what you did there Garrett Mason and Alex Mason same name
The Quarter Moon Murders is the scariest case in the game.
Fun fact: The Black Dahlia Murder is also the name for a kickass death metal band. You might've heard them from Saints Row 2 and 3.
RIP Trevor Strnad
yes that is correct there music is great:)
666 metal
I won't spoil what happens but since Cole has been promoted to Vice there will be a lot of things happening in Cole's personal life that is going to affect the story. Sometimes even when good detectives try to get on the case there is always that one source that will do anything to silence them.
@Theprofessional thank for the video 💯
Now this should be an interesting watch.
One of my favorite parts of the game
Best playthrough ever I loved how you also explained a lot
Yo let's go. I was sitting for this big time.
Garrett mason is a narcissist he would've never been found if he didn't lead the police to his hideout but no he has to leave clues around like he's the riddler
I think hes that kind of sicko who does it for the adrenaline and thrill of being hunted by the LAPD
30:55 had trouble when i didn't understand it
Basically cole will automatically try to fall so when you see him falling stop your self and balance with moving the left stick in the opposite direction (if cole is moving left move the stick right until he balances) then continue your way

When I beat this game a long time ago this part shocked the hell out of me
I don’t think it fair mason got away with it because of his brother in with the government. I think he should have for charger with it and the victim get justice
I really don't understand why Rusty still in Homicide department when he one of the problem this case take long to finish and might possible more women will became victim.
But at the same time i get why he still around because of LA Police corruption at that time.
I love this game
44:49 ik i catch it late but i love the wet physics that LA Noire has, i think this and gta 5 are the only #rockstargames that have the wet physics so thats a great attention to detail.
1:13:34 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vehicle Damage $2225
City Damage $265
😂😂😂
Honestly, I don't understand why Mason wanted to be found. He'd be fine if he didn't lead Cole and Rusty to his hideout.
Ego he believed he wouldn't be caught
@@pavlegasic819 he’s a narcissist . He was basically mocking the police and saying you can’t figure it out
By far the best case in the homicide desk very creepy too
Man. Rusty would be a good bar friend. Someone to get drunk with at Moes Tavern. But not the best detective when it comes to murder cases. Even when he had years of experience in homicide. He doesn’t want to commit to hard work on the most basic of homicide cases. But still. He isn’t the most bad piece of filth person you see. Coles next partner however: he’s not the bestest friend or even a partner in the police department.
Cole the Batman of LA
you will rise and i will fall chandelier ye!
Rusty should say that only Cole deserves the headline and even a medal for the Black Dahlia case. Shows that he was worthless but he showed him the ropes to homicide and admits that he was proud to have a partner like him.
48:40 You mean, s'more, Rusty?
19:54 why the eff would cole do this he lost his mind fr 🤣🤣🤣🤣 that cursed chandelier
Officer down lol
If L.A. Noire becomes a movie, it should be directed by David Fincher
@shaun3713 was it boring?
Yeah, I didn't want to spoil who the serial killer was either, but now it's known. Pretty realistic, since in real life that happens often if someone is connected or well off, they can get off scott free unless they're a victim of a police shootout, like we see here. Nice Big Sleep on the movie marquee, nice touch. And yes, unfortunately, the employees always get in trouble, never the ones in charge, even though they're the ones who make the bad decisions. Oh yeah and you should only try different cars if you're trying to go for 100% completion in this game.
And yes, I did not know that either. So some of the question marks are undiscovered landmarks as well as hidden cars you drive by in the game.
With how the final case turns out, I guess it's a good thing that Phelps end up shooting and killing Garrett Mason. Otherwise, he would've just walked without even standing trial.
And is Vice really a promotion? Sounds more like a transfer, but maybe a bump in pay.
It’s called la brea tar pits
You need to do lore video on mason
Unfortunately, cover-ups like this still happen today. You would've gotten a 5-star rating in the case if you let Rusty drive.
I like the mastodons and the saber tooth cats in this case
25:07
I’d say that’s an $80 car crash.
Wait so I still don’t understand did the guys that were arrested in previous episodes are they the ones who killed their victims or this Black Dalia guy is the one who killed them for real.
I will miss having Rusty as a partner. He's not the best when it comes to skill and work ethic, but he is the funniest partner in this game.
Fail moments😂

30:30 Falling from the plank
44:30 Walking straight into the tar pit

I think Galloway is the real villain of the game. I mean look how many times he tried to get you killed.

Hey professional when you beat the game are you going to do all the street crimes
Why did maison killed all the women?
I don’t remember how long it took me to find the landmarks the first time around, but it was a pain.
x to doubt
Police is the worst in this game.
Meanwhile in an alternate universe:
I was right that there is something fishy with those bars.
Spoiler:
This one was so great but a bad ending all cause the killer is related to someone high as a public figure in a political position...just sad
They just forget the case and call it a day cause i think sergeant said so
