    Imagine a mount that was much smarter then its rider, secretly leading the tribe.

    Im aiming towards the Bloodgullets. Lots of magic and healing along with a more savage appearance

    Gotta say I love the Underguts, nothing like endless explosions to liven things up. But I honestly don’t know how I want to make my unique maw tribe now, so many fun options

    It's amazing what a turnaround AoS quality of lore has had since the first edition. Now I prefer it to 40k lol

    Bloodgullet is what I'm running, but I adore the horror movie aspect of Winterbite. That creeping doom sensation of your buddies getting silently picked off one by one by 10+ foot tall Gregor Cleganes who are going to eat the dead when they're done. So satisfying

    I just started playing Ogors, I have chosen the Boulderheads as my Sub faction. Thank you for the general back ground on the different tribes. great listening to them all...

    I like the Bloodgullet in terms of gameplay, but they also seem interesting in terms of lore too. I like how they sound particularly cruel which is a trait I like for my destruction races, I like my Orcs, Goblins and Ogres to seem like proper evil monsters and not so much as comedic relief.

    Underguts easily. Big burly cannibal ogors whos idea to be stealthy is to snipe guys with cannons that they use as muskets is sweet. And that they mine by just blowing holes in rocks is hilarious.

  • @chengyuenfai
    @chengyuenfai Před 4 lety +6

    I prefer the Underguts Mawtribe as they are willing to alliance Gloomspite Gitz army which I like. And the Underguts uses a lot of Gnoblars, I like Goblins, just personal preference.

    Underguts are probably one of the better Mawtribes gameplay-wise (and perfect for those who wanna insert some 40K into AoS) because this tribe makes Leadbelchers absolutely disgusting:
    Units of four to six Leadbelchers are pretty cheap and with an 18" range they'll always be able to reach out to enemy units. With their movement, each Leadbelcher has an effective 24" range, nothing to sneeze at with their d3 attacks per model. Their command ability: "Thunderous Salvo" works best if you pair two to three Ironblasters with a cheap hero who can double their shots with only a single command point, making your shooting very much able to taking down most monsters. Best of all, Underguts have great ways of dealing with huge hordes too. Stick the Gnoblar Blast Keg on a Tyrant and run him alongside a Gnoblar Scraplauncher and you'll be killing 15-20 Skaven or Gitz a turn!

    I think under guts have to be the most interesting to me. They are using the least subtle weapons in the plane that is all about secrecy and subtlety. And their tunneling bit, that's not skaven sneaky tunneling. That is eating the ground and blowing up what you can't eat tunneling

  • @JamsMiniMods
    @JamsMiniMods Před 4 lety

    Wondering if someone could answer this.. If a gutbuster tyrant took in some BCR, how would that affect their life style because now the everwinter is following them as well?
    I love the winterbite tribe and kind of want to make a tribe based on them.. So the tyrant would use the everwinter to his advantage and that's why he keeps some BCR units around.

    Me personally would go with underguts. I'm not massive on gunlines, but with how hefty of a melee profile they also have, and the fact that ironblasters can charge as opposed to other artillery it just doesn't seem so bad.
    Aswell as them in the lore being pals with the Gloomspite, would be awesome to substitute gnoblars with stabbas. A block of 40-60 gobs holding the enemy at bay or sitting on an objective after your tyrant (which takes the artifact for 6 pistol shots for the theme's sake) makes them immune to battleshock.
    All in all it just seems nice to be able to mix ogors and goblins and turn your enemy to mincemeat with massive salvos!

    Gotta say all the destruction (and khorne) factions feel the same to me. Big strong savage dudes riding monsters bellowing and roaring with big greatweapons, marauding around and destroying civilization for their great and terrible gods. The only twist is "green with armor" or "green and extra savage" or "are hungry" or "they like blood". It just feels like different flavors of the same idea with minimal development from GW.

    • @Jpipooly
      @Jpipooly Před 4 lety +1

      I get where you're coming from, but those twists, play-styles, models, and bits of lore are what give factions flavor. If you boil away enough details, I'd imagine that most armies in AoS look the exact same

    • @Haydin1117
      @Haydin1117 Před 4 lety

      @@Jpipooly The problem for me is that you have to peel back a lot with other factions to do that, where it feels like the destruction factions just kind of got a new coat of paint slapped on very similar ideas. Granted, a very cool coat of paint - those models look great and have a ton of personality.
      The lore could be more interesting, and I hope GW spends some time fleshing them out more. After all, they made what could have been geneic fantasty tropes into something really unique and cool with fantasy, so I really hope they can give the more bare bones factions the same kind of treatment here.

    Meatfist seems my favorite fir foot ogors, and all of the Alfrostun tbh. BCR just seem so awesome.
