I want a newborn Slaanesh model, that would be the closest thing we will probably ever get to a chaos god as a model

Imagine when Slaanesh is fully freed they bring back N'kari and make them the babysitter of the Twins or something lol.
And the Newborn spoke: "I'm teaming up with Sigmar."
Now that would be chaos.
I can imagine that the newborn wakes up and see one of Tzeentch minions hidden in the crowd. Walks up to him with a smile and says, "When I send you back to your master. Tell him Just as planned." Then kills him in the most excruciating and quickest way possible,
Slaanesh is just like Morathi now: one soul divided across two bodies.

Yes, that was also my main takeaway from the whole thing. There's two bodies to one creature. I guess this will also be relevant later on.
Could Morathi actually be a Daemon Prince of Slaanesh? The irony would be amazing.

All Daemons are pieces of Slaanesh's essence. The Newborn is just a bigger piece of him that can act as his avatar.
The main thing I like about this is that ALL forces of Chaos could gain something to motivate them to put more effort into their conquests.
Majestic feasts and orgies and all that stuff the hedonites indulge in are breeding grounds not only for depravity, but also for disease. So Nurgle could recieve a power surge from this new age of depravity.
Khorne will definitely get going because his main rival not only returned to a certain degree, but crossed a boundary no other god has crossed before. Anarchy and unrest will feed the schemes of Tzeentch and you bet that the rat is going to be mad about one of the old four making their way back.
This thing can set so many things in motion just by *existing.*

I think Slasnesh totally planned to use Morathi to escape. But as Morathi's ascension was cut in two, maybe the same happened to Slaanesh? And thus only one part managed to slip away?
So, I can easily see Newborn being basically Small Morathi, and their goal will be to free Big Slaanesh.
Maybe they will team up with Horned Rat as minor-ish deities?
A demon lord roaming freely in the mortal realm. What can go wrong?
Not into AoS but as someone who bought the Direchasm box (the one with the High Elves vs Slaanesh, fell in love with the models) it's cool to learn something about the background of these guys on my shelf!

I would love it if the other chaos gods threw their owns chains on Slaanesh. If khorne found out he would absolutely have some bloody spikey brass chains built immediately.
Slaanesh would get out of that immediately by saying he enjoyed it. Khorne would absolutely not cop0e with being told 'harder Daddy.'
I had a theory that one day they'll be a Newborn/Fulgrim model kit.
As the descriptions of both Daemons aren't to different.

The truth is, Slaanesh never wanted to leave his cage... He gains power off part of him being eternally caged, he is the prince of pleasure and pain so this makes sense. At least, this is my head cannon, I hope it's true though
I imagine Malerion is gonna be pissed that this is happening on his borders. All the more reason for him to hate Morathi.

I love Slaanesh and I do think the Newborn will be a big part of at least Broken Realms but I think destruction is getting the focus in AoS 3.0. I think the supplement stories are building up to something big with seemingly every Orruk, Ogor, Grot, and Gargant hearing the thump of Gork and Mork. Gordrakk is marching to destroy a city but I think it'll go beyond that.
at last, you talk about the newborn. This is one of the most intriquing characters in AOS

So the newborn has got a physical manifestation in the mortal realms? If this is so, this is extremely interesting as before now the gods have always just been warp manifestations and never had a physical body in the realms, maybe this is a way for Slaanesh to rule in the realms.
I also think AoS 3.0 might be focused on Chaos but I’d like to see Be’lakor have a big part to play, maybe even usurp Archaon or rise to godhood himself!
In WHFB and AoS, the Chaos Gods can walk into the realms if there is a bigger enough opening. Nearly happened in the End Times when Slaanesh nearly walked into the world from the Vortex.
In AoS, Slaanesh is an a sub-realm between Ulgu and Hysh. If Slaanesh's chains are broken, Slaanesh will fall into Ulgu and take it personally.
The reason behind could be because the WHFB woirld was saturated with magic and the AoS realms are crystalized magic.
Was hoping for DoK updates first but I am totally okay with this too. Thanks for the awesome vid as always!

not to be too sacrilegious (I am a Slaanesh player so of course a little sacrilege is in order) but the whole situation of the newborn reminds me of the birth of christ, in a way Slaanesh is now a trinity. The father is stuck within a prison, the son walks the mortal realms, and the holy spirit is the hedonistic urges within all of us, pushing us to even greater debauchery. It makes me think that the mortal followers of slaanesh are kind of like the three kings of the orient coming to lay gifts at the feet of their god on earth.
what this proves to me that the gods, if they wanted to could create greater, stronger and more varied servants. however they dont do this since it probably (and as stated here) takes out a bigger chunk of their own power and essence. this would probably weaken them a bit too much personally in the great game, a risk they cant take.
however seeing how slaaanesh is already in a bad position and is loosing valuable time whilst his brothers feed on the mortal realms, he has nothing big to loose and was willing to commit to this to accelerate his release and then probably re--absorb this avatar.

As the oldest Slaanesh fan & player. It’s about time Slaanesh gets some love- outside of the self love.
On that note, the aspect still caged is not hating life. They are watching and pleasuring themself(s).
Now, we’re they to fully get out and the newborn is a bit big for their britches and they don’t seem to get along... the realm will look like Cenobites going to town and the oceans will overflow with blood and... other bodily fluids. Pretty much everyone else need take cover.
If you haven’t read the Dante level of spheres the OG Slaanesh homeworld has, both of them, in tandem or separately will turn the mortal realm into the first material world of Chaos.

What IF this shard of Slaanesh ends up having its own consciousness that's contrary to the nature of the entombed Chaos God??? A being that resists its own nature especially that of a Chaos God would certainly be intriguing...
What it brings me to mind is Piccolo at the end of firs Dragon Ball. He was able to create spawns (demons), but at moment he new death is coming, he created a perfect copy of himself. A newborn of great evil. Heh.

Maybe Slaanesh will eventually escape but by the time he does, the New Born could have its own autonomy/individuality like it started as a straight up copy but then learned its own stuff and slaanesh would be weakened so there could be potential conflict there. Man, that sounded better in my head 😂
Or Slaanesh instilled a desire of unification into the New Born which will forever prevent it from wanting autonomy. Which would be fitting.

I would like If they were to do a "twing god of ececess" narrative with this. Where basicly both is Slaanesh but think and act individualy and both trying to assert dominance over the other. Both loving and hating each other. There are interesting stories you can make with this.
If GW would just make it so that "oh. People noticed mini slaanesh over here and killed it, good guys win yay!" that would be the bigest let down I think. You need to make this story line matter and have consiquance.
I know I'm super late here, but my interest in the chaos gods has recently peaked with the release of Total War: Warhammer 3. I had this idea as well (assuming you meant to type "Twin God of Excess" 😉) This would perfectly fit the dual nature of Slaanesh. They would be so powerful together! Both swapping their perceived genders, emotions, and desires on a whim. I love the bit you said about "both loving and hating each other" Perfection. I picture both of them speaking and saying two completely opposite things while still making their point. What a horribly awesome evolution it would be to an already awe inspiring force of Chaos.
At this point it's probably more of a pipe dream, but I still hope that we see the Newborn as well as expies of the other Chaos Gods on the table.

I'd love for New Born to be a demi god extention of Slaanesh. On a mission to destroy all chains and slowly regaining his power and becoming one, at the beginninig slowly with just recollecting who he is but with time getting more in toutch with his true self only to culminate in grand apocaliptic battle with all aelven factions to brake the Prince free.
My best guess is they wanted to save the Child narrative for Broken Realms: Slaanesh. There'd be nothing to expand on if they got everything out of the way in the battletome. That said the battletome could have waited until that point...
I don’t think their will be a Broken Realms Slaanesh as I’m sure they said there was only 3 books and we already know the next one is Alarielle

Is this refering to the twins of slaanesh? Dexcessa, the Talon of Slaanesh and Synessa, the Voice of Slaanesh? Have we heard any more lore about them since this video?

I want the 2nd form of Slaanesh to be its own character as well, a idea i had was, it gets flung and hides then starts to gain power, worshippers, and then enemies will come to take him down. Order figures out the Elves accidentally let a part of Slaanesh out, and eventually the true Slaanesh breaks out devours Elves and becomes the top Chaos God in the Great Game, then he goes to absorb his 2nd form to ascend to top Chaos God permenantly, but his 2nd form doesnt want to be absorbed and believes he is the true Slaanesh, the true Perfect Prince because he escaped and wasn’t shackled, you cant imprison perfection yada yada. So this would plunge the Hedonites of Slaanesh into a civil war and the Alliance of Order might have their own due to the Elves, then destruction and the other Chaos Gods do their thing as well.
What if this doesn't end with slaanesh? What if, as you say, the fact that the other chaos gods don't have this same presence in the mortal gets the jealous (something they would very much do) and they decide to send their own piece to add to this newborn? What if all those 4 piece are draw together? What if they combine? What if this is not a new slaanesh character they are adding but a new chaos god?

Yeah now I think about it Elven gods had the balls to call Sigmar a secretive a-hole. Like Teclis was piss off that Sigmar turned his engines of light into Stormvault to hide dengerouse stuff or Alarielle hate Sigmar for his temper-tantrum with Nagash. Now Sigmar should be pissed and be like: WTF your chained a chaos god and milking him of souls and you call me a secretive despot?? Shame on you guys go to the corner and think on what you did :P

@@2Tough well they kinda did baby newborn is not just morathi fault but all of them. No wonder mostly normal elves rather stick to cities of sigmar rather then the elven gods so they have to creat they own elves. Kinda wonder if Lumineth, Sylvaneth or Daughters follow they gods of free will or they created them that way.

Maybe now that there is a newborn out in the world-at-large, there is something that Slaanesh can focus on to slowly move across to inhabit? Like instead of saving up his power to break free of his chains he can slowly just 'shunt' his power across to the newborn and then sort of possess? it and subvert the whole chain thing in the first place.
Alternatively, maybe he will use the newborn to break himself out of imprisonment and in that way he can avoid 'owing' Archaon, and I think both of those ideas have large story line ramifications.
Speaking of ramifications, I hope there is some sort of one for the aelves at a really high price. If daddy-Slaanesh escapes, I would hope he kills one of the new pantheon. Like proper kills (he's done it many times in the past afterall) - my guess is that it could be Malerion since he still doesn't have a figure (or Tyrion for the same reason). You shouldn't just be able to capture a Chaos *God* without serious consequence imo.

Hi. I think that the new born is a part of slannesh. I think the big story will be to stop it from growing to it full potential. Because when it does. One part of a soul will be attracted to the other. Slannesh could be using the new born like a super magnet. To tear him out of the prison. So as the new born grows the strain on the chain holding him will become more and more strained until bang they break and he is pulled straight into the mortal realms. Just an idea that could finally finish the trapped slannesh story ark.

I’m assuming that the Newborn storyline will continue in Broken Realms 3: (Be’lakor?). With the new godling landing in the Realm of Shadow and Be’lakor being spoiled this past weekend as a focus of BR3, I’m assuming that the two will be interacting in a significant way.
Next broken realms is Broken Realms: Alarielle. When they where first announced it was said at the time it would focus on the Aelven deities Morathi, Teclis and Alarielle

Where did the wanderers come from? Were they souls that got extracted from slanesh?
Wanderers were just Aelves native to the Realms. They never really explained how Dwarves, Humans and Aelves got there but they did.

I think you are wrong on the fallout of keeping the prison of Slaanesh secret. Any smart eleven god will easily justify keeping it secret to the rest of the pantheon. If it was public knowledge as you noted the prison would be assaulted non stop. Then most of the gods can just throw Morathi under the bus for letting it out. No one will doubt that she is a fault she was always untrustworthy.
no no no, it's not about the elven gods justifying their choices... its about others being mad despite those justifications. Thats what I meant. That has been the faults of Teclis for some time
@@2Tough that's what I think the other gods would grasp. The dwarven gods get the idea of practicality and they keep several significant secrets like Ur-gold. Allerial has all sorts of secrets including a dark god she appears to be hiding from the rest of turn when you read Dark Harvest and probably First Mark. Sigmar also has endless secrets and is practical. So I don't think they will care that much that a secret prison isn't disclosed to more than those who needed to know. Morathi will be blamed.

@@MakinaMakinaMakina yes it appears that Kurnoth a murderous blood thirsty god is quite alive and is likely to be gathering his strength to overthrow Alleriel who he and his followers consider weak. He manifests I the realms so he isn't a dead god. His whole cult is the focus of Dark Harvest. He is also quite possibly the dark voice that leads the Deadwood Sylvaneth who have a super weapon that kills everything other than Sylvaneth from the book First Mark. He also has followers in Beastgrave. There is some chance he is actually an aspect of Khaine who if you read the new DoK tome is not merged with Morathi. She is still siphoning power from the Iron Heart to keep Khaine from returning.

I feel like the Deepkin would become more sympathetic because they despise Teclis and how he abandoned them.
That, or they hate Morathi more for unleashing a smaller version of the very thing that forced them to become how they are.
As a dark elves fanboy, I really want Malerion to reveal what he did with his share of elvish souls and use his army to clean up his mother’s mistakes.
He will have to cause Morathi just dropped a fat load of crap right in the middle of his Realm.
I feel like they could use prison Slaanesh as a well for elven souls. Pulling souls out to create more distorted elves to battle the newborn. Once the well is sucked dry it may be enough for prison Slaanesh to escape. I also imagine they will turn Slaanesh into a set of twin brother/sister gods.

I think it’s gonna be lewd Slaanesh staying in jail and pain and excess Slaanesh being the one that escaped to make the models more family friendly, since Americans prefer gore to nudity. Lorewise, I agree with the building up of Morathi-Slaanesh reflection, but I wanna see the others’ reactions to Morathi’s stupidity, especially Nagash, Alarielle, and Sigmar, who I don’t think have even noticed Slaanesh’s absence.
Yeah seems like they finally want the gods to have models soo chaos gods have avatars to fight the physical forms of gods and god beasts. And changing Slaanesh to a more "shadowy" means that can turn down the nudity, sexual and twisted side to make the game more "acceptable & accessible" because the cancel culture, snowflakes and politics police have missesd warhammer soo far but soon they'll get bored and look at a new thing to moan at and Slaanesh is an easy target

Honestly AoS fluff are just silly, I am tired of trying to believe how Elf had enough power to lock away slaanesh by them selves(end time BS), but If I was one of 3 other chaos gods or new skaven god, I would done everything I can to steal slaanesh power or completely kills it, there is old saying one mountain is not big enough for 2 tigers, not to mention 4..
