- Korean pop music invaded FOX 5 NY morning program 'Good Day New York' on Wednesday with an exclusive interview and performance by singing sensation GOT7.
The K-Pop group with millions of followers worldwide appeared for the first time on television in the United States.
Rosanna Scotto and Lori Stokes asked the guys to share something about themselves that their large fan base might not know.
Here were their answers:
Mark: "I have stitches on my chin... from riding bicycles and playing around... a long time ago."
JY: "I don't say 'I love you.' It's a little bit awkward and nervous. I love you guys."
Jackson: "I like to have a bubble bath and I like to do yoga. I stretch every morning."
YZ: "Ice cocoa. Chocolate with ice. Chocolate milk."
JB: He said in Korean, that he's having a tooth implanted.
Bam Bam: "My name, Bam Bam, is my real name. The Bam Bam character used to be the strong kid and my mom said she wanted her kid to be the strong, too, so she named me Bam Bam."
Young J: He said in Korean that he bought a record but doesn't have a turntable to play it.

It's because the fans hashtag #BringGot7onGDNY went viral, and miss rossana the one wearing purple said that they will invite got7 soon on the show..and she said one of got7 fans gave her a flower thanking for bringing got7 into the show. So they literally studied the boys names.

They have one of the most understanding and mature Fandom of their generation of kpop but still dating is such a huge thing in kpop industry and they prefer to keep that part private, we should respect that also.

I think people keep underestimating how much Jackson helped in this interview, he cleared up tiny misunderstandings or added things to help them understand
One thing I noticed is that the non English speaking member try very hard to learn and speak in English in got7 hence we see their improvement . And the fact that they do this for the fans is more heart warming than anything else . This is why I love these boys .

They did their research, they weren’t awkward, they were patient, they enjoyed the guests, they seemed genuinely interested and they didn’t spend the interview asking basic questions about KPOP like it’s some unknown entity. Honestly I am so happy. Got7 doesn’t get as much views as other groups and they deserve it because they are so talented and very humble group as well. Not many people even care to dance cover their new songs either. So this is a huge step for them. Hope their tour goes well!! Everyone looks good as well.

Mark is the only one who is English native speaker, He is taiwanese american from LA.He also speak mandarin too.
Jackson, he is from Hongkong,China.His skill of language is the best. He fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, English and another languages.
BamBam,he is from Thailand.His native language is thai and he went to Korean for training at his13yrs old by only speaking thai and didn't understand anything in english or Korean. He learned english by talking and playing with Mark and Jackson(and another foreigner trainees in JYP) and Mark and Jackson know some thai from BamBam too.
and 3 of them speak fluent in Korean now.
for Korean lines(4members)
JB,Yugyeom,Youngjae they are in the level of the beginner.
They could understand almost the conversation but maybe lost their confident to speak it out. But they tried so hard to reply it if they can for a simple questions.
Last year Youngjae came to NYC alone for learning more about music producing. He could lived by himself and hanged around with his foreigner artist friends.So i think he could speak it.
Jinyoung was so far out of them. I think he could speak it well like or almost like BamBam but sometime he thinks too much about his grammar but if you listen to his ending mention in concert,It will show you how good he is in english.
And 7 of them are learning Japanese and Cantonese(except Jackson) and they are almost good at it too.
So they are multi linguals Kpop band that i ever know in this my entire life.

I had to get a tooth pulled by the dentist and I've always been so self conscious about it but now here's Jaebum who I've always said had like the most perfect teeth who also has a missing tooth. That tiny imperfection made him more relatable. I'm actually really touched that he shared that with us. In my head I'm always embarrassed about my tooth but now it's like Jaebum has the same thing so it's whatever. Idk if it makes sense but like when he said it I literally let out a sigh of relief because as idols they are put upon a pedestal made to seem so perfect and now here is someone who just could care less about being seen as perfect and shared something so personal with his fans. Like I really respect that especially since Jaebum is such a private person and lot of the time.

Jackson was in an international school back in Hong Kong, so his English is practically fluent and it's very common for people from HK to speak English fluently as it's one of the official language. Mark grew up in LA so he is fluent tho his English is less confident know that he speak more Korean than English.
