@@FlorianR98 I do the same. If I genuinely feel like I will never use it, I just transfer it... Especially if they are Hundos because of purified.
@@serenity6643 100IV pokemon are not that rare. If i have them twice, then I will Transfer them. I Catch at least 1400 Pokemon each Day.. If it's a Go-Fest or so I come close to 2000. I only keep legendaries as hundos and some worthy Pokemon. But what do I want to do with a second 100IV Psyduck or so..
With XXL and XXS don't forget about Platinum metals!! When you evolve or trade them that counts towards the middle!!
Using this trick (especially for the xxs pokemon) I have both platinum medals. So now I put things in the competitions, then transfer them afterward.

This is what I do. At the end of every day, I review the Pokémon I've caught and tag irrelevant ones as trash. When I need to transfer or there is a bonus for transferring, I use this tag. Simple as that :)
Once you clear the masses, this is the way. 👍

@ Yeah, this strategy is better suited for regular players like me who catch 50-100 Pokémon per day. It may not be suitable for hardcore players :)
It's very suitable for hardcore players. I catch about 1k a day roughly and I transfer 99% of that and I always do it either that night or the next morning while I'm doing Daily paperwork for work.
I feel like another category to keep in mind is Old Pokemon. You can use older Pokemon to trade for almost guaranteed lucky trades if they are old enough.

My advice would be to not expand you bag space unless absolutely necessary.

6:35 You definitely can build more than six Pokemon for team 1 and team 2, so that you don't have to revive them in solo or duo raid

A few tips:
!# shows all the mons you haven't tagged yet. Tagged mons are obviously ones you want to hold on to, so "!#" can help clean up even added onto other strings.
Comm Day Shinies are actually good to keep because Lucky chances increase as they age. For example, shiny from 2017 or 2018 is extremely valuable today. But even 2021 shinies have high Lucky/Shundo chance.

You can take it even further to make a super-fast and easy on-the-go "Select-All > Transfer" with something like:

Just add any personal Tags onto that list and you're golden.
Just be sure to check for PVP potentials first using something like:
0-1attack&3-4defense&3-4hp&age0-10
"age0-10" includes only Pokemon caught in the last ~10 days (helps keep the quick-transfer list relevant & manageable)
"cp0-1999" includes only Pokemon under 2000 CP (good for new/intermediate players, less useful for established players)
"!distance-100" excludes Pokemon caught more than 100km away (guaranteed XL Candy if traded)
"!eggsonly" excludes Pokemon who can *only* be caught by hatching an egg
"!year2016-2018" excludes Pokemon guaranteed to be a lucky trade (due to age)
Everything else is either explained in this video or should be fairly self-explanatory

This is a useful thing i did, and it may take some people longer than others, i made a tag for my 98%/96% and another tag for my 93/91% and sorted everything in my storage that way, also separate tags for pvp 1500 and 2500, and obviously master would be my highest cps, but also some other misc tags, but this is my way of filtering out my storage for whats easiest to keep

Another helpful tip if you use Pokémon Home for core games. Make a Home and dexfiller tag.

If you play the mainline games another way to save up storage is transfering some of the legendary and normal shinies to pokemon home weekly even though it doesnt do that much for space... but it still helps me alot for the past two months without needing to delete them.

Another interesting category to consider is old pokemons from 2016-2017 if you have them, because they can guarantee lucky trades if certain conditions are met

I also use favourite to avoid transferring accidental pokemon I really wanted to keep.
I'm always maxing out on storage, but at least now I'm trading a bunch with a mini account after my travels overseas to help get rid or some low-IV ones. When I do go through purges, I usually set aside a fair amount of time to go through one Pokedex entry at a time and tag some to transfer if a spotlight hour bonus is close.

Not worth leveling, can’t be evolved, not a shiny, not legible for Little Cup because I impulsively leveled it past CP500… but she’s still one of my favorite catches and looks adorable as heck so she’s here to stay 🥰

Spotlight hour next Tuesday, Feburary 27th (Sandshrew) is Candy x2 when transferring!!! It is AFTER the SInnoh tour for which we will need the storage space, but I will definitely keep a few specific mons over the weekend to get the extra candies ;-)

I organize the hell out of my pokemon, and I purge regularly. I only have 1250 poke storage, and I transfer about 200 at a time, making room for raid bosses, shinies, and XXS, ,XXL, Hundos Nundos I even have a category for 96-98% pokemon, I've been raiding alot more so I use those coins for raid passes more than for storage
Worth mentioning, you can save search strings once you've build the string,
- go to search bar in inventory
- see Recent for searches you've done
- Long press on the search string you want to be a button
- ?
- Profit
This makes sense for high-level accounts with lots of Pokémon. I barely have anything evolved or strong enough to battle 😭
When it comes to shinies, I have a living dex and three for trades. And while it will take forever, you could search line by line to clear storage, for example, search eevve and then go thru all my eevees and eeveelutions,
I send all of my bad traded shinies to home! Anything that isn't lucky, or 3*+. Ive been doing it since last year and have about 200 in there!

Hey bro. I have some tips to make all the process easier: 1st - Use TAGS. I do the same process as you to PVP pkmn but, I didnt favorite then... I just put then in PVP tag to check it latter. 2nd - The search string that you use can be simple like this: 0-1attack&2* (all pkmn with 0-1 attack and 13-15 hp/def, is 2*). 3rd - Save your search strings so the process may be fastest; 4th - When you add pkmn in Tags, you can add this tag with a ! (ex: !PVP&!RAID). then the pkmn inside this tag dont appear in your search. Using this in a saved string focused in delete pokemon, and you can transfer pkmn whitout the risk of sending good pkmn to professor! You can also add pkmn that you don't want to transfer, doing a good "clean search string", using some tags with ! and some pkmn you want to keep in inventory, or even some type (!dragon&!Pikachu&!PVP). I hope it help someone in the game! ;)

Just something a little different I do to label them for GL or UL. Tag them in that group. Like I tagged my Mareep in my GL. I do it this way because sometimes you can't fit a lot of extra letters at the end of their name and I like to keep their name.
You could honestly make a video about all those search tricks in the storage. It is hard to know if new ones are added, like xxl, and the game doesn't really teach you. The "new" search system that shows some of the different things you can search is fine, but there isn't everything.
I just keep one of every "version" excluding xxl & xxs, so that means normal, shiny, lucky, shadow and purified. Then I focus on getting the best 3* / 4*. And then i keep 50-100 for trades with my gf.
Legendary i keep 3-4 for regular trades and lucky trades.
Tip for showcases: if a xxl Pokémon has already won a showcase you can not use it in the future for other showcase
How can you tell? I never keep track of any of that.

What I do is whenever I'm out catching I have a tag "Keep" I stick this tag on any pokemon I catch (Usually Hundos or Shinys) and have a search query of pokemon without the Keep tag and just mass transfer
I also have many other search queries such as PVP, 3* Check etc etc.
I keep more than 6, sometimes you need to relobby as your first 6 faint before the raid finishes.

Maybe with the new revive all button (if it works there too), but if I have decent B team it's faster to relobby. I sometimes duo raids and a few have been close on time.

I only have 1200 total space as a semi-casual player, but i still struggle with filling up cause i hoard them. I dont even do PVP but i keep so much stuff around each power limit just in case. And i kinda wanna aim for a living dex, so i even keep crappy things just cause its like the only one i have yet. That and all of the darn costumed Pikachu🥲. tbh, the best way to mark pvp mon league is using tag, each league for each tag
works but I feel like its easier to forget tagging then it is to forget nicknaming
I’m still keeping a weak attack iv shadow mewtwo with Psystrike because a 6 attack is shadow mewtwo is a lot better than a 15 attack iv normal mewtwo given the same moveset

Is there a way for pokegenie or another app to tell you what it's ranked as? Not compared to other IV's of same pokemon, but its ranking on pvpoke?
I'm literally keeping my team (around 15 100 iv pokemon), 2 of each legendaries, my pikachu collection, my shiny collection and my shadow collection, I've been gifting everything else these days only to free space 💀

Should i transfer my shundo legendary pokemon or my ticket exclusive legendary Pokemon that i got from a long time ago
I go through my caught Pokemon daily and keep shinies, hundos, nundos, really big or small ones, costumed Pokemon and the ones with pvp relevant ivs.
I scan the last ones with PokeGenie and mark them for the relevant 4 leagues, even the ones that are not meta relevant and would not be used by anyone in their right mind currently. Who knows about the future?
I also keep spares of each in case anyone wants to trade and in case someone is also into pvp and we could try for pvp ivs.
Then there are legacy moves. I have a tag for Pokemon who can be evolved for exclusive moves. Shadows are also in there.
I also keep certain Pokemon in case the double transfer candy bonus rolls around. Mostly Pokemon that have worse pvp ivs than a newly caught.
My end goal is to have a shundo of a certain Pokemon and then transfer the other shiny ones to Home. Keep others of the same Pokemon for raids, showcases and pvp.

I’m simply going to change my catch habits. My storage capacity is 2000 and I’m sitting at about 1800. Now my Pokedex is at 800 of the 842 in the game. I need 17 legendary/mythicals, 11 regional exclusives, 14 evolutions, plus catch a second Clamperl and hatch a female Salandit. From now on, anything I catch or hatch that doesn’t fall into those categories and isn’t either shiny, 4-star, or something that hasn’t been added to the game yet gets sent to Willow’s candy grinder.

I am lazy and do not like using TM's... so Raid attackers that are good in two types like Garchomp... I have more than 6, some set for ground and some set for dragon.

I have two Littens. One a 761 CP 2/11/15 Attack/Defense/HP and the other a 14 CP 14/14/10. Though it has better IVs the candy/stardust costs would be ridiculous to power up the second one. Let’s say I have space for only one. I should transfer the 14 CP right?

I'm ruthless. F Shinies. Scam to buy inventory. I prioritize function over fashion all day every day. After that, I have my vanity projects. like wanting to have a hundo maxed out level 50 for every mega. And that's pretty much it.
If I want to see a shiny, I transfer it and go back and look in the pokedex very few shinies I actually keep.

If you got a 98% origin form Dialga, with only 14 attack, and roar of time, would you power it up?
My problem with storage is i'm trying to play it like a proper gotta catch 'em all game. I need to keep 1 of everything(highest IV always). Every form, pattern, gender variant etc etc. Just glad not every pokemon has a gender variant though, that would be pure pain.
Pikachu for example, i've got all of it's hat variants in male and female (different tails), shiny male and female (if I was able), plus 1 extra of each gender and shiny of the hat variants that can't evolve, just incase they can in future (doubt), because some can evolve into Raichu!
Then on top of that, i'll have the highest rank of everything for pvp, multiple of the same high IV thing for raids and gyms, and then I keep every shiny I find. It all adds up.
Ohh and i'll also keep the "tallest" of every species even if low IV for showcases. Maybe one day they'll be randomised too instead of just current event pokemon.
For now, smallest just get yeeted since they're useless but I know i'll regret that at some point lmao

If you choose to transfer the shiny Kyogre, I'd be super happy if you chose to trade it to me on Pokemon Home instead. I get rid of anything I don't use in Raids and Battles, always have storage. Wish they'd patch it so Origin Palkia and Dialga revert like Giratina so can be sent to Home. Need to get rid of the shinys.

Worth checking for sure - anything 2018 or less is valuable for luckies - you can make a tag with them

Quick question for Daxi or the viewers, should I invest into double moving my Shadow Mamoswine's or should I have 1 for each typing (ground / ice)? Is the fast attack that big of a difference? Hope my question is clear, if not please let me know!

Probably a lot of different opinions out there.
Mine would be it depends on what you are using it for
To short man a raid just use the key moves.
If it is a Hundo too, may as well give it a double charge and best buddy badge and work to max that thing out.
If it isn’t a Hundo do you have the dust/candy necessary to spend on this and powering up to make useful without compromising other needs (and not being annoyed doing it all over again if you get a better Pokémon).
If you intend to use in PvP probably a good idea to have a second move.
(Yes I realise there can often be little difference in IVs but the simple fact is 15/15/15 is still better even if only marginally in all instances outside of specific capped PvP leagues).
