Salah is not the issue. As you said, put Salah next to a striker like an Isak and he's getting 20 assists even if he misses his chances. Same with Diaz, even if his end product is poor he still brings something to the team like we saw against City. What exactly does Darwin do except miss chances? Nothing. Liverpool lost the league because of Darwin Nunez. Say what you will about tactics, individual mistakes and whatnot, at the end of the day, if Nunez scored even half the big chances he's missed Liverpool would be top of the league, that's just a fact.
