I've been eating animal-based with fruit, honey and maple syrup. I feel great, lost some weight and have kept my muscle and strenght, which was a concern because I'm an athlete. Everytime Im eating liver or steak, like ribeye for example, I give some to my dog everyday, I've noticed that my dog is more energetic, more muscular and his hair shines more, just an observation, if you give meat and organs to your dogs, in my experience, it is good for them as well.

I absolutly love this content and I would like to stick a lifetime on the animal based diet, if we were in a time about a 100 years ago. But then unfortunately comes a current climate situation. If I can be honest, I'm more worried about life on earth then on my perfect health. So my question is: what about carbon pollution going with eating meat? I read it's around 15% of a whole global pollution humans doing themselfs. I will continue eating meat, but over the time I don't think we will come that far by consumeing it daily. Doc Paul please tell me I'm wrong. I appreciate your time and your work, thank you!

Nah, the level of propaganda necessary to make man fear the effects of cows on the environment is huge. Craziness abounds. For example, the same person vilifying cows for that then happily buys an e-car or even smart phone in which the lithium and cadmium are needed. Thinking they are shiny and good helping the Earth. But no, nope, no. That is the an industry that deserves the fear and loathing being aimed at cows.
The environment is being savaged for those minerals. Poor Mother Earth and the foolishness of doing this in the guise of helping Nature is mind boggling. Not to even mention the child labor exploitation and political conflict surrounding the minerals.
Cows are not the problem. Most especially if one eats meat or organs sourced from cows raised on a regenerative farm ala Polyface Farm. Cheers!

I love both these guys but this was kind of a waste of an opportunity. You have one of the greatest doctors and one of the greatest athletes in the same room, and they are going over the same talking points Doctor Saladino has already talked through 1000s of times. It’s very frustrating. What do you think of coffee? Alcohol? Cholesterol? C’mon, there are deeper layers to the animal based health conversation, can we discuss the nuances of George’s results eating this way as an athlete? C’mon, man…. I don’t give a fuck about coffee, or alcohol. I don’t need to hear him tell me not to eat margarine- if I’m here, I know it’s crap.

@@danielyolland1555 At what point did I “pull out” his “livelihood?” I’m merely pointing out that someone with a stake in a supplement company is the least reliable source of nutritional information. Why? Because they’re here to sell you something, NOT to teach you something. If Paul Saladino’s interest were to honestly inform, don’t you think he would use evidence to support his claims? If you don’t believe me, watch a single one of his videos on social media. He says “I strongly believe” because he doesn’t recognize the actual science on what he’s talking about and can’t perpetuate what he’s saying as dietary fact without being labeled as overt misinformation. What’s so difficult about researching these things yourself, and comparing the plethora of evidence against CarnivoreMD to what he actually says in his content?

For crying out loud, look at the blue zones (the longest-lived populations on Earth). Their diets are mostly plant-based with only a small amount of animal-based food. Surely the best evidence there is, no? Granted, there is a lot more to health than diet but one needs to consider that fact. Personally, I try to consume whole foods with a small amount of animal sourced content (mostly fatty fish like salmon and sardines - the omega 3's are much too important to ignore). Fibre appears to be critical for gut health and animals provide none of that. I do not believe a vegan diet is optimal...there are no vegan indigenous populations on this planet.

Wrong. Most plants have nutrients that we can’t even access, as well as having lots of defense chemicals that cause a whole host of issues in people. And you can absolutely get all nutrients you need from meat. Not sure why you think that’s false, and not sure how you think our ancestors survived. They were surviving 99% on meat lol.

Name any animal where someone can be allergic to eating it?
Now do the same for plants.

False, these so called "phytonutrients" have so far proven to simply be plant defense chemicals that strip nutrients from the body and cause inflammation. They are totally unnecessary and likely harm the body.

Not sure where he got the when we give vegetarians creatine they perform better on memory. The one study that I am aware of that did this showed vegetarians did not improve any more than meat eaters (or at least it wasn't statistically significant) who took creatine in physical tasks and brain creatine levels of vegetarians were the same as meat eaters pre supplementation and creatine supplementation did not increase brain creatine levels. Would be curious to know what study he is referencing.

"There are no nutrients that you can only get in plant foods." I mean this is just a factually incorrect statement that I am sure he is aware of so I am not quite sure why he is making it. There are tons of nutrients only found and made by plants we call them phytonutrients for a reason. Perhaps he means that we can survive without these nutrients but, at best, his statement is disingenuous. Stopped watching here since this guy seems to be rather biased.

False, these "phytonutrients" have so far proven to simply be plant defense chemicals that strip nutrients from the body and cause inflammation. The idea that these are essential or even slightly important is obviously false
