- Could the key to fertility and healthy pregnancies be hidden in our past?
One of the biggest questions facing women today is“what foods should I eat for a healthy pregnancy?”
And despite following mainstream advice and ‘doing all the right things’, many women still struggle with the emotional, physical and financial turmoil of infertility and challenging pregnancies.
In Nourished, we meet the mothers and medical specialists who have gone against the grain, and returned to the traditional animal foods that have always been known to support mother and child.
Because before prenatal vitamins, these foods were valued for their ability to support conception and the creation of healthy, beautiful babies:
“Without knowing the names of the vitamins contained in these foods, isolated traditional societies recognized their importance in the diet and liberally ate animal products containing them. They rightly believed such foods to be necessary for fertility and the optimum development of children.” - Sally Fallon, Nourishing Traditions
With 1 in 5 couples unable to conceive, and many women struggling to achieve a healthy pregnancy, we all know someone touched by this issue.
Please share this film with them in the hope it helps them experience the joys of healthy parenthood.

Show us the studies. No peer reviews what is the prof that those placenta came from what you claim. You paid people to sell your supplement. Shame!!!
This came across my feed yesterday and after 6 years, I am ready to break free from my veganism. I refuse to ignore the cost its had on my health, especially now that I want to start a family. The Lord literally put this video in front of me right when I needed it.
I do pray I havent caused irreversible damage and that He'll guide me to persevere if I have problems conceiving.
That’s awesome. I was vegan for 11 years, so I understand how challenging it can be to go back to animal products, it can be a big step to take, but after a little while (I’m in my second year ex vegan) it feels totally normal and ok 💛 Wishing you all the best sister, God bless you in Jesus’ name! 🙏🏻
I will praying for you and your body and family! ❤️🙏🏼
@@personanongrata5332 did you feel instantly better after going back to animal diet?
Welcome back!💐
This is awesome! Very powerful. I’m a dude and this gets me hyped for these moms taking control of their pregnancies for the better.
🙌 🙌 🙌
Damn right, take back what’s your women
Hope you find a partner that values this so much! Home birth and nutrition are HUGE parts of a healthy pregnancy
No, wrong.
I am German.
This from an English side:
'A calcified placenta occurs when small, round calcium deposits build up on the placenta, causing it to deteriorate gradually. The process occurs naturally as you get closer to the end of your pregnancy. However, if placental calcification occurs before your 36th week, it could cause complications for you and your baby. 09.01.2023'

I’m 8 mo pregnant with my first and I can’t wait to see the placenta! I’ve been eating an animal-based diet with beef liver, raw milk and plenty of eggs throughout pregnancy. No prenatals but I do take an oyster supplement and cod liver oil supplement because I don’t get as much seafood in my diet as would be ideal. Baby has been thriving all pregnancy, my labs/blood pressure/glucose have all been perfect and my mood and hormones have remained stable throughout.
that's awesome 😊. what a fantastic start for your bub ! My biggest regrets in life are my two almost vegan pregnancies. The placentas were tiny... my midwife said she hadn't seen such a small placenta after my first . I wish I'd realised the error of my ways and started to eat animal foods, but NO, I was so indoctrinated that I doubled down with the second and went more into the vegan death cult. Bub was born HUNGRY and wouldn't stop breastfeeding for three hours ! No word of a lie.. poor thing, she was literally starving for nutrients. Seeing those placentas side by side had me bawling 😭. I was sent this video by the hungry baby who is now 26 and she herself has recently adopted a carnivore diet. She told me not to cry but I can't help that lol.
@@apteryx7080 I feel you. I wasn't vegan or vegetarian but I could have eaten much healthier than I did. It was all casseroles with cheese and noodles with a little meat, when I was pregnant. Now that my kids are all grown up I'm moving toward more meat based.
The best thing I did was take cod liver oil when I was pregnant with my 3rd one, then I gave birth at home
Thank you for sharing.
@@jefdby I'm glad i had both my babies at home, at least they had a beautiful transition to this world. Just wish my homebirth midwife would have spoken more strongly to me about my diet . She herself was pretty close to vegetarian, only eating occasional fish and chicken.( As an aside, she also suffered very frequent debilitating migraines, no doubt in part because her diet lacked animal fat). I tested low for iron, I wish she had told me to eat red meat instead of taking floradix ! LOL. I'm happy my babies are now eating meat heavy diets. The hungry baby has seen her cystic acne finally clear up with carnivore, and her days-long headaches also disappeared! She's very pleased at these changes, as you can imagine.
hi Chelsea, want to check in with you, how was the Placeta? and r u following the animal based diet in your postpartum? how was your recovery?
I am 8 months pregnant and have been on animal base diet before Pregnancy, i also take cod liver oil etc, our diet seem similar. but now i have a question about my diet for Postpartum, if this is good diet for postpartum too?
Thanks
Can you recommend a good oyster supplement?
I delivered my heart and soil baby at home back in October, I can wholeheartedly attest to this entire video. Not only did I have an incredibly healthy pregnancy and baby but the state of my amniotic sac and placenta blew my midwives away. We love Paul and everything he’s doing!!!
What did you take exactly throughout the pregnancy?
Thats amazing and a beautiful testimony!
I’m also interested in what you were taking!!
@@crazycrazycrazyadam I took heart and soil’s beef organ supplement.
@@annieadamowicz3504 Thank you for responding.
Was it just the Beef Organ, nothing else? Did you take the 6 pills every day or did you have a particular supplement schedule?
What was your diet like throughout the pregnancy?
In 2021 I found myself back in a wheelchair for the second time of my life, told I would need more reconstructive surgery to fix my joints from the damage my genetic condition has caused. I have Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome and 2 years ago was told I would need full pelvic and hip reconstructive surgery. I have been told for years I probably can’t get pregnant and lived with fearing pregnancy as I never thought my body would even be able to cope with it. Just over a year ago I decided to give the Carnuvore diet a shot, and within less than a month i was out of the wheelchair, off crutches, had no dislocations and was able to cancel any future surgeries. A year on I adapted it to be a more animal based diet and was still thriving. One thing though my period started doing it’s thing of being absent like it had done over all the years i was vegetarian, I was a bit upset as it finally felt like I was getting some consistency with it finally. I thought, this feels silly but let’s take a pregnancy test, yep that was what did it! I was 4 weeks pregnant! I am now 15 weeks pregnant and still eating animal based and baby is growing perfectly! If it weren’t for this WOE I don’t think I would’ve gotten pregnant (well and for my hubby haha!) Even that, since we met he thought I ate too many green things and helped encourage me to try Carnivore - which I thought sounded crazy but there were so many anecdotal stories of healing from it I couldn’t ignore it.
I am still nervous of my body coping due to my EDS with the pregnancy but I feel while eating this way i have the best chance of having a healthy pregnancy and my body and joints coping the best they will be able to.
This is so encouraging. I’m 42 post hysterectomy and pelvic floor surgery. Finding out I have hEDS and homozygous 1298 MTHFR. My hips are always going out and my muscles are always aching. We are getting folic acid out of our diets including our kids who are 6 and 3 now. Increasing meats. Your post was really encouraging that this every day chronic pain will improve. Thank you.
Wow, how inspirational your experience is!
Congratulations to you and many blessings on your pregnancy and baby.❤
Beautiful documentary…
I was a vegetarian for 7 years. Started eating salmon and canned tuna the last couple years. I’m a podcast junkie and recently started hearing about the carnivorous diet… I decided to listen, because I’m an open minded person and genuinely love learning about all things health. A few months and so many educational podcasts later (big thanks to Mari Llewelyn and Dr Paul Saladino), I’m officially not a vegetarian anymore. I had my first bite of meat (chicken) a few days ago.
I recently got married and the idea of having children is on the horizon… let me just say I felt a whole boatload of emotions seeing the vegetarian placenta next to the animal based one. It makes me so incredibly sad to think I could have had a child with that under nourished placenta….
HUGE thanks again to Dr Paul Saladino for spreading this message and getting it out to more people. I’m looking forward to incorporating animal based foods from local farmers markets and local farms into my diet 🤍
My friend sent me this saying she "thought of me" since I love eating all the organ meats. Offals are SO underrated not just for nutrients, but for taste! Have you ever made steak but with beef heart? Game-changer. Have you ever made a lamb brain stir-fry? Do it.
I am getting ready to start on my own motherhood journey, and am so excited to share all my organ-meat recipes with my friends who are also on that path
That side by side is pretty shocking. After being vegan for two years, I got pregnant unexpectedly and around the same time (before I even realized I was pregnant) I felt strongly that I had to change my diet and I started off with an organ meat supplement. Now 6 and a half months in I can’t say that I’m fully animal based, but I do focus on eating plenty of high quality animal foods including raw milk, butter, eggs and meat. I’m so glad I felt the call to change the way I nourish myself for my baby.
Definitely want the liver pancake recipe! I’ve had 2 tubal pregnancies & 8 miscarriages, numerous different fertility tests & they found “nothing wrong with me”. This video gives me hope & I’ve recently changed what food I put into my body, gotten rid of all the processed crap in our kitchen & now after seeing this video I am even more motivated to continue to eat food that nourishes my body. Incredible film!!!!
For the liver pancakes recipe, check the comments section! I tried a million times to respond to you, but YT wouldn’t post my comment. Finally figured out a combo of words that made it past the algorithm. I posted instructions for how to find the recipe in the general comments section
have you thought about getting a health coach?

@@perfektessteak8660 I had two almost vegan pregnancies and my placentas were TINY. How is rhis video biased ? please explain
Calcification is normal toward the end of pregnancy.
Thank you for your answer, and thoughts.
Great filmmaking and such an important message! I was honored to be the nutritionist featured in this film and am so pleased to be able to add to the voices speaking this message so loudly. It’s one of the reasons I’m so eager to guide women on their motherhood journey to be as nourished as possible, beginning preconception! Preconception preparation is really the key to optimizing the pregnancy experience!
Hi! I would love to work with a nutritionist. I’m trying to get pregnant again and have a one year old that I want to make sure I’m feeding the best that I can. I’m having a hard time with organs though. Where can I find you?
Thanks for all your help Anisa!
Wonderful. I regret feeding myself and my children the USDA/ Government diet. Feed your minds. Feed your bodies.
I regret feeding my child formula
I be crying at the end 😭.
I’ve made animal foods including organs and raw dairy my highest priority for over 2 years now. I got pregnant with my first try last July and sadly miscarried. I’m praying for success soon, because yes, it is every woman’s natural calling to be a mother and if you have broken free from the brainwashing that somehow it is a less than worthy calling or that you cannot be a mother and a radically successful woman at the same time, your heart will naturally long for the transformation of motherhood. I pray it happens for me soon 🙏🏼.
Hi there, my midwife was telling me that a lot of women are having a hard time keeping their progesterone levels up once pregnant. She said ask to be tested early on and then she puts them on some type of regime. I'm not sure what, but I know it's not synthetic. I could ask her if you are curious to know. Hang in there and think happy thoughts and baby will come.... he/she had a well nourished body to grow in. 😊💗
Like the other person said. I'd recommend you test your progesterone and other hormones. Proov has an at home test that is very affordable.
@@amandarada3242 It would be interesting to share

Did you take the needle 🪡?
Awesome work. Wish I would have known about animal based eating years ago. We had about five miscarriages. Went to specialists with no real solution. Glad to see these women having success.
🙌 🙌 🙌
I wish I knew this information before I had my babies 5 years ago on a mostly vegetarian diet. I thought by having celery juice every morning, green smoothies, and salads was the best diet I could have. My first midwife was shocked at how small my baby's placenta was. It also had calcification. Not to mention my pregnancies were awful with 24/7 morning sickness the entire 9 months.
Two weeks ago I started an animal-based diet (meat, fish, eggs, raw dairy, some fruit, and honey). I feel amazing! (Minus the 4 days I had the "keto flu" 😝) More energy than I ever had being vegetarian (for over 30 years!), my IBS is gone!!!, my circulation is fantastic (no more ice cold feet and hands), my keratosis pilaris is clearing up, and my pregnancy belly melted away (I was holding on to a lot of water weight from eating carbs). I now know the power of a meat based diet. It is amazing - life changing!!
I am definitely going to share this...a lot of people around me having babies and its so sad to see people cutting out meat to be "healthier" during their pregnancy. And honestly when people do this you don't want to be preachy and tell them otherwise...but its honestly sad.
Have been eating this way about 80% of the time since August and now surprise pregnant with baby #6 🙈 So watch out! 😂❤️
She made me cry at the end. Oh what a beautiful masterpiece, I could watch another few hours of that!
❤️🙌
Same 😭 it’s so true
Same here.
(Wife typing) Amen, Amen, and Amen!!!!! Thank you so much for making this bite-sized documentary!!! What a wonderful and easy resource to pass along to those we care about. God bless you.
Please do more on this topic! This vid is so great but More testimonies, talk about different infertility situations who were healed and more details about SAD and how it’s messing up women’s ovulation etc!
I was vegan for 5 years had the worst heaviest periods and pains. Was always iron deficienct and on supplements. Ate pretty good. I then started eating meat again especially red meat and ive never felt se good and been off supplements. Now 8 months pregnanct, and all i want is red meat, eggs and fruit, honey and the occasional handful of nuts. I went travelling for a while about a month ago and wasnt eating right, not much meat, no eggs, was eating alot of other foods wow my energy dropped so quick. Then one week back home eating right and organs i feel soooooo much better. Listen to your body. That simple.
Makes sense, the heavy period and pain. Probably estrogen dominance. Glad you could sort it!
I drank raw milk and ate fresh eggs plus meat daily during my second pregnancy. My placenta was dark red like that one and my baby was born en caul. We do also eat homemade sourdough in our house
Amazing!! Thank you for making this, it makes we want to reactivate my social accts to spread this far & wide! I just tested my vit D levels and am at 76! I was at 37 while whole food plantbased (no junk / no processed with lots of health hacking lifestyles habits, thankfully during my 16.5 years doing it). Endlessly grateful for ANIMAL BASED! Everything is homemade, beyond organic, local + farm sourced and exceptional nourishment. Fresh raw frozen heart and liver + a range heart and soil supps! Had I not made the connection between NEEDING cholesterol to absorb vit D, I would not have necessarily initiated the switch in diet, I was thriving in many ways yet the low D did not make sense and led me down this rabbit role! I’ve always been a sun worshipper.. how on earth could I have low vit D? Ahhh, I needed cholesterol + saturated fat and lots of it! GRATEFUL to Dr Paul 😅🙏
Amazing! 🙌 🙌
So great! My daughter and I have just been talking about the increase in women who struggle with fertility. We need to get this message out there….thank you!
Yes we do! Thank you! 🙌
Wow, this is a very interesting documentary. Even as someone who doesn’t plan on having children, I’m learning that fertility is a huge marker of health.
I wish this was longer! Such an important message.
I definitely credit the health of our baby and my wife to tons of meat, milk, fruit, honey and eggs.
We also had a midwife provide all the care throughout the pregnancy and delivered our baby at home. It was one of the best decisions we have made.
Amazing!!
I became a midwife in 2003, and you are so right. I've seen it over and over. If a momma fills her diet with animal protein, she minimizes her and baby’s risk dramatically.
I discovered animal based eating in June, during my 1st trimester, and went alllll in for my whole family. I gained so much energy, emotional stability and strength, compared to my previous 2 pregnancies! Currently 3 weeks post-partum and have had an extremely easy recovery as well.
MORE MORE MORE! This is how we teach the world. This was awesome!
Hopefully one day there's an actually documentary on TV! This is a good start!
I discovered Heart & soil after I gave birth to my daughter and honestly wish I could have knew about beef organs before conceiving I feel like that would have helped me (and my baby) in so many ways🥺 But I thank God I know have the knowledge I need about the benefits of those organs I can nourish my 18 month old with some organs thanks for the video Dr. Paul
This was such a beautiful documentary! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experiences with us. It really means a lot, even if it is slow to spread. If this is all it takes to make leaps towards fertility and a healthy birth, it's good to know that it's a simple method that can be incorporated into daily life! I can't wait to show other women this, and I hope this reaches more people so they too can have success with birthing a new family if they wish!!!
AMAZING mini doc.. Mind-blowing how much more vibrant and robust we are when properly NOURISHED!
Absolutely incredible! I loved every second of this video! Simple nutrition is just so so powerful!
This is beautiful. This has really opened my eyes to our reality!
Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL documentary. Animal based diets can change lives. These women are so inspiring ❤️
Amazing video! I just sent it to my pregnant daughter I know she will be inspired thank you!
Such a great documentary! Thank you for this!
What a beautiful documentary, so true. We need to eat what nature intended for overall health plus fertility.
The placenta difference is wild! But also not surprising. So glad I eat animal based already!
I absolutely love this documentary I think it’s amazing and it’s something I recommend to my clients all the time whether they are prenatal postnatal or just trying to stay healthy.
The only thing I wish that they divulged deeper into is the quality of the meat. There are tons of animals that are stuffed full of vaccines and hormones and when you eat not just what they are eating, but are also injected with and the animals surroundings it makes a huge difference in the quality of the nutrients you are getting. It’s like analyzing the soil of any fruit or vegetable you need to do the same thing for the meat.
Find local and supporting your local farms is the best way to do this if you aren’t going to hunt yourself or raise your own animals for slaughter.
Is there any way to link the study about SIDS and formula? I am a birth worker and love all the evidence based research I can get my hands on to inform others on how to make better choices, and to be aware that those choices even exist!
Amazing. Thank you for this
Very empowering. Side by side comparison is reassuring to those who are already on this way of eating. This way of eating has tremendously helped me feel better even when I am not strict. I will definitely do my second pregnancy animal based.
Thank you Dr Paul
Such a strong documentary! Hope it changes more womens purpose and health!
Thank you! This drove this way of eating home for me.
hola tribe... incredible documentary... thank you for this ... will definitely share with my community... i think there me be one thing worth mentioning... two different times, the midwife says "pasteruzied" eggs when maybe she was wanting to say "pasture raised"... its a thing that slips and gets confused often on this path and there is obviously a huge difference between the two... just wanted to point it out in case its helpful
For those asking, I have the liver pancakes recipe. I’m just not sure how to get it to anyone since YT won’t let me post the link or instructions about how to search for it. I’ve tried multiple times and the comments don’t show. Let’s see if this one makes it…
Woohoo - a comment finally made it through. Use a search engine and look up “ash eats beef liver pancakes.” The recipe should be the first one that pops up. It will take you to my blog. There are a bunch of other animal-based and carnivore recipes there too.
It was incredibly delicious!
Thank you, I’ve only just discovered this world. I’m struggling to conceive (3years trying) so I’m dipping my toe into “nose to tail” and this looks like a great way to disguise that it’s organs lol tbh I’m struggling to get past the 🤢 and squeamish factor, so this is quiet a blessing!

I was vegan for 7 years, November 2021 I decided to reintroduce animal food in my diet. I have never felt better since making the change. I don't have many vegetables anymore but love fruits. My period became very regular, and my muscle mass increased noticeably along with my training performance. I can't say I have a 100% carnivore diet, but I focus a lot of animal-based food (including liver supplement). I just found out I'm expecting, and I feel blessed. My GP and nutritionist advised me to stop the liver because high in vit A, and to eat more vegetables (the rainbow) and got me on a pre-natal multivitamin. Any thoughts? Also really enjoyed this documentary! I wish there were more content like this out there! Keep doing what you're doing!!I'm a big fan! - Ps: is there a Facebook support group to join?
cooking liver greatly reduces the vitamin A...you can make pates...theyre really good if you cook the liver with onion and bay leaves. the copper and nutrients in the liver are extremely nourishing during pregnancy. Retinol (vitamin A found in animal foods) is actually incredibly good for you and your baby, but if you're worried about having too much just eat liver and cook it. Pate is eaten a lot in Europe on toast, it takes getting used to but it's actually delicious. You can also just take a smaller dose of liver pills, the ancestral supplements ones are really good quality. Also - prenatal vitamins are filled with things you might not want. Look into the Freely Rooted Podcast episode with Morley Robbins - there is a lot of information on ancestral eating, prometabolic eating, and eating for pregnancy there - led by two moms who are incredibly healthy with very healthy kids :) who ate and eat this way.
Very cool keep up the good work!!
Beautifully done. ❤
I had a calcified placenta with my first son (I was actually eating lots of animal food, Weston A Price). It was because my placenta had started failing early on in the pregnancy, they thought my son would be IUGR but didn't end up that way because I started to shove loads of food in by the end! I think if the mom doesn't grow enough during her pregnancy this can happen, or just making past your due date.
Oh, I also tried some keto during that pregnancy as well, which was not a good idea either.
I think this depends on the mom.
How much excess body fats did you have at the time and how much vegetables and grains and seed oils did you consume, excersize? Age? All factors. How long had you been eating Weston A Price diet before conception?
Was your partner healthy? Was he eating good quality nutrient dense foods? Their health is impactful also
Gracias.
To short !! Haha I wanted more!!!! Great job!!
Promoting the heck out of this.!!!!
Fantastic documentary. Only wish it was longer :) I was vegan for 6 years. I didn't see my first baby's placenta, but I started craving meat with my second pregnancy. I stumbled upon information about ancestral eating that just made a lot of sense. When my daughter was born my placenta had some calcified spots. The midwives said it was because she was a week past her due date. I never believed that to be true, but didn't have any other explanation. I bet it was from being vegan for the majority of my pregnancy though
My baby is two years old and I came across this video after her enamel has started to chip off causing cavities and decay. Her teeth are not properly mineralized as I learned from FB groups/certain books (doctors blamed breastfeeding).
I had been a vegetarian for several years and am now I’m the process of transitioning back to animal based.
However, i did have a healthy pregnancy (except for inherited anemia), a natural birth, a healthy baby and my placenta looked nothing like the vegan one but like the carnivore one.
But still, I’m giving this a try and look forward to seeing where it goes. :)
Amazing 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I started by taking the liver and bone marrow supplements and it helped me get off of my anti anxiety meds and I never had any problems getting off of them and felt amazing. I then started taking gut and digestion and fire starter to complete my stack and loved it!
Once I knew I wanted to get pregnant I started taking the life blood supplements from Lindsay’s suggestion in your podcast.
I got my IUD taken out early thinking it would take me a while to get pregnant because of my hormones being out of balance for so many years and got pregnant less than a month after getting it out! My whole pregnancy (i’m 31 weeks) I have been taking mostly life blood along with, liver and bone marrow, fire starter, and sometimes gut and digestion. And I have had such an easy and wonderful pregnancy and I wonder if it’s because of these amazing supplements along with a healthy diet.
I also wonder should I continue taking life blood post partum? Or go back to my original stack?
Thank you Heart and Soil for changing my life I owe a lot to you!
Can you tell me what life blood supplement you're referring to?
@@amandaterry1453 it’s one of the heart and soil supplements and it’s called life blood!
I think that midwife misspoke a couple of times. She said “glysophate” instead of glyphosate. Then she said “pasteurized eggs” instead of pasture-raised eggs.
Good video guys and girls at heart and soil
❤️💪
Is she saying pasteurized eggs? That’s what it sounds like and what the subtitles say.
As a plantbased mama, i had the a huge and beautiful placenta. And i had a amazing 5,1 kg healthy baby. I am now more open on some animal based dense food for this second pregnancy. But, i feel the comparaison of the placenta was not the most objective. Because there is vegan and vegan.
Such a nice video and the placenta comparison is an eye opener.. But as a vegetarian (no eggs even because we have been this way for generations), it is really hard to even start having eggs in diet except in pastries and pancakes from outside.
So the question of including meat in any form seems too far fetched an idea. I neither know how to pick and buy good meat, nor cleaning/cooking. So, I am now curious to know, what can I and so many others in similar state do. I am obviously taking prenatal supplements for the needed vitamins and cannot think of a way on including natural meat/organ at this stage of my life. I will be really happy if someone can throw some light on helping me understand better about my food choices. Thank you!
Bravo well done 👏
Around 14:05 the speaker said pasteurized eggs but should have said regenerative and organic eggs.
Pasture raise.
Thank you for making this!! Dr Paul changed my life in my second pregnancy - went from plant based to animal based pretty much over night. Haven’t looked back. My second is so much more robust in health due to my diet while pregnant and now I’m pregnant with #3. I can only imagine how much better this whole pregnancy and birth + health of this next babe will be since I was the most nutrient-rich I’ve ever been going into it.
Not sure if you’ve got any suggestions on meat aversions during pregnancy though? It’s something I’ve been struggling with as I’m early on :)
Thanks again!! You guys rock
That's amazing! Best of luck with baby #3!
Hi! I am one of the women featured in this mini-doc. I tried to respond to your comment and share a link to my blog post about how I got through the first trimester (including navigating meat aversions), but I think CZcams flagged me for sharing a link and the comment didn’t post. If you Google “ash eats first trimester,” it should be the first one that pops up. :)
I also had a strong aversion to meat (and therefore a desire for carbs & sweets) starting with my 3rd pregnancy... I found it was an enzyme deficiency that I ended up taking supplements for.
The first time my homebirth midwife just knew. The 2nd and third time I went to a chiropractor who does "muscle testing/applied kinesiology" (sounds "kookie", but it WORKS), and he could tell me which enzymes I needed. This last time it was an enzyme supplied by my spleen. So, if we find out where the deficiency is we can most likely find the organ (or organ supplement) we could take to help!
Good luck!
Thank you!!! I look forward to reading it 🥰
Oh amazing!! My naturopath does muscle testing. I don’t have a chiro right now but I’ll go to my ND and find out what I’m missing! Thank you!
Pasture raised eggs not “pasteurized” that’s misleading to those who don’t know this jargon
Beautiful!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I don’t know but my friend had 2 healthy children on a Vegan diet . They are in their late teens and twenties and very healthy . There are other mothers on a Whole Foods plant based vegan diet with healthy pregnancies. We will see their adult years .
This is wonderful information. My body is messed up from doing 4 rounds of IVF for a surrogacy, and I almost died from hemorrhage during birth twice, once when I birthed the surrogate baby, and then when I went on to freebirth my own baby. I am determined to solve the issues I have been having with my body, blood, organs, etc ever since going through those IVF meds, and I really believe it mainly comes down to nutrition. We want ro have more babies and I pray that I never hemorrhage again.

Great video! The word needs to get out about this and having the babies at home and also I heard you’re supposed to be attached to the baby in the placenta for like an hour and a half after the babies born or some thing like that. You never hear about that in the hospital. Hospitals disgust me at this point.
Not an hour and a half. That’s unnecessary. Delayed cord clamping, yes. But an hour and a half - that’s just ridiculous.
If I hadn't been in the hospital to give birth to my daughter I would be dead. I had a normal, wonderful pregnancy and no complications were expected. But if your uterus doesn't clamp down you can bleed out very quickly. That's what happened to me (as well as a 3rd degree tear). So being in hospital saved my life.
God bless
She means pasture raised eggs not pasteurized* or is my hearing off?
I've had 3 keto pregnancies and just found out im pregnant with baby #5. I have been Carnivore the last 3 years and have no plan on stopping. May add berries so Ketovore, I guess.
Congrats!
I eat like this normally, but have been having hypermisis :/ anyone that can give advice please comment. I can’t eat dairy, and just being able to add ground beef back in
Hard not to feel guilty, but the only way I’ve kept food down the last 4 months has been zofran and thc
Sorry to hear about the hyperemesis :/ We’ve worked with many people who have experienced meat aversion or nausea, especially in the warmer months or when pregnant. Don’t be hard on yourself! We suggest prioritizing whatever nutrient-dense foods you can stomach (ideas: Heart & Soil supplements, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, bacon, eggs, raw milk, etc.) until you are ready to consume red meat/your normal diet again. Check out our animal-based resources for more nutrient-dense food ideas. You could also look into a collagen powder and a high-quality protein powder from Mt. Capra. Their goat milk-based powders are free of flavors, colors, and chemicals, and are produced using gentle dehydration techniques.
Every placenta is calcificated in the 40. week, quite normal.
I'm trying to find a holistic nutritionist school that isn't biased to plant based. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know we're meant to eat more animal based.
Lindsay seems like a wonderfil midwife. I am curious though, she keeps saying pasteurized eggs, but does she mean pastured eggs?
Does anyone know a good source for liver supplements in the UK? I was about to order from heart and soil, but can't be delivered here.
@PaulSaladinoMD: Diary of a CEO podcast just had on a pregnancy doctor (Dr Natalie Crawford). She mentioned that eating red meat is not good for women’s eggs nor male sperm quality. Would love to hear a video on your thoughts or reply to her advice/claims. Thanks!
Ohh man this was good... way to short...
Have been Carnivore for almost 2 years. Never been better
What is the name of the blonde woman in blue, I didn’t hear it
Por qué en vez de comerse el hígado normal se lo come como si fuera un panqueque?
For someone who is hoping to get pregnant… what heart and soul supplements should I be taking? I’m having a hard time figuring out how to make liver and heart and not sure how much to eat. But I want to make sure I’m getting as many nutrients as possible.
Just eat fresh liver heart beef and lots of fat eggs dairy! You'll be fine.
@@ChurchInAshes That is certainly a great start! However there can definitely be more fine tuning that's needed based on female physiology
During my pregnancy, I used Heart and Soil’s Her Package, taking 6 capsules daily. I didn’t take prenatals, just did my best to eat a nutrient rich diet. Easy pregnancy, healthy mama and baby! I’ve switched to Liver and Bone Marrow just to change things up and no complaints. Been successfully breastfeeding for seven months now and my daughter is thriving!
@@ChurchInAshes sorry just seeing this now but I actually just finally got the courage to eat raw liver and surprisingly I love it haha. We already eat a mostly carnivore diet and I'm going to try heart next!
@@anisawoodall What else is needed? The reason I decided to finally just eat raw liver recently was because I have the hardest time taking pills, especially capsules. And it seems like with these supplements you need to take sooooo many!
Can we please get name/ Instagram of women that delivers babies!
I get acne from eating meat and animal products, just wondering if anyone here knows anything about this? I've done so much research and havent been able to figure out why. It seems like higher fat foods make me break out more. This started after going vegan for a while, but even though I'm no longer vegan I'm still having acne. Any info/advice greatly appreciated
I’m wondering if your liver is not breaking down estrogens well.
Estrogen dominance. Look up kitty martone
It sounds like liver and gallbladder may need some love.
recipe for thoose pancakes please :D
⚠️ An update and warning on infant formula. The dry powder isn’t made to be sterile as the intention is for it to be made with hot water. However, it’s recently come to light that the hot water machines you can buy for formula just don’t get the water hot enough to kill the bacteria.
Are grass fed liver pills enough? Or do I need to eat actual liver for optimal pregnancy?
Thanks for any info!
Always aim for fresh liver! Certain nutrients decrease over time.
