I just hope they don't cram a 4k display or something stupid like that into these things. The only reason it can play games locally at a decent framerate is because of the 720p screen, which is FINE.
They wont anytime soon, don't worry.
NightSyndicate yeah it will be in 5k screw 4k
LazerLord10 4k displays are battery hogs aswell
LazerLord10 this is perfect for me cause I mainly play tf2
I wouldnt even mind a 480p display
who ever made this NEEDS MORE FUNDING !!!!!!
they took like 700 000 USD fundrising :D
***** give then more I want this concept to become a reality
zeroman108 it is a reality
That's nothing for R&D for a such product let alone manufacturing and go-to market strategy.
Violent Synth no to play super demanding games on that form factor
I love how Linus said "give it 5 years and it will be awesome" and 5 years later... Steam Deck XD
Preach brother
linus saw a little glimps into the future or something because he nailed it!
@@conman3609theoriginal ye and now the Deck is awesome
@@roundduckkira yep and mine is currently shipping to me lol
6 years later and GPD Win 4 and Steam Deck removing 90% of the frustrations of low-spec gaming.
Still, Win 1 is pretty awesome considering Gamepass cloudplay works surprisingly great.
"Nothing more in the back except- OH LOOK AT THAT! MORE IO THAN THE MACBOOK! HOW SHOCKING!"
I honest to heart feel like this is a direct RoastFest(tm) directed at Apple and im 100% chill with that dude your roast game strong as hell wow
Never thought THIS is gonna be the Switch's competitor
Exarian its not advertised to be. It's simply what users of their gpd xd wanted, the feedback was taken in and placed into the gpd win
It was never meant to be a Switch competitor. This was just a device that GPD wanted to make after the XD and after taking feedback from their fans with planning starting around October last year. Aside from being handheld gaming machines, they won't be interfering with each other's market with maybe only a few people deciding to get one over the other.
Basically it's nothing like competition between DS and PSP or 3DS and Vita. More like 3DS/Vita vs iPhone/NVIDIA Shield.
to be honest, this for me is a bit better as i have a bunch of steam ndie games that i don't play very often but that would be great to play during commute + emulators
Shield Tablet gah
Private Account but with a controller built in, abit more horsepower and running windows

Ryan Davis the absolute madman
Ryan Davis ay

Ryan Davis Savage.
8:35 He called it. Steam Deck
Well Linus, it's been 5 years. And I think we can say that handheld gaming PCs have come pretty far!
A month or 2 after this video becomes exactly 5 years the Steamdeck will ship
This is faster than my laptop.
I REALLY need a new laptop.
Some really cheap tablets also have Cherry-Trail processors but often come with 1GB of RAM
What are the specs of your laptop?
Mine are...
ASUS X200M Notebook
Intel Celeron @ 2.17GHz
4GB RAM
500GB Hard Disk, SD-Card Slot, No Optical
1336x768 Touch Screen
Windows 10 Home (shipped with 8.1)
802.11n Wireless
3 x USB 3.0, 1 x VGA, 1 x HDMI, 1 x Headphone, 1 x Ethernet
+DrathVader Answer my other post!
Steve Jobs
Sorry, Steve Jobs, didn't notice your post.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L300 with Intel Pentium T2390 2x1.86GHz, 2GB of DDR2 ram and GMA X3100 graphics.
CPU is okay-ish for light use, but the GPU is complete crap. 2GB of memory doesn't cut it anymore either, and I can't even upgrade because second SODIMM slot is dead.
And don't even get me started on the display, wireless stuff or IO ports.
As I said, I need a new laptop.
Man i feel bad for you, i just picked up a killer Asus GL502 with an I7-6700, 16 gigs of RAM, a GTX 1070 with 8 Gigs of GDDR5 and a 1 TB hard drive with a 128 gig SSD all for 1400 bucks on Black Friday.
great.. another thing for my gf to call small
So far the best comment I've seen. Thanks for making my day.
Dave K xD no problem
LMFAO
kick that bitch out
it was a joke.. the gf not the small thing
My laptop can't even get Black Mesa to hit 25 fps on moderate settings, this thing definitely is tempting.
This thing triggered some nostalgia with me. Still got the Nintendo DS, except this one is on steroids.
That's one of the main reasons I'm gonna get this
Just run a NDS emulator, I bought this and it plays like a DS.
I'm using a 3DS XL right now to watch this video at 360p, $150 but not slow. This seems to be a tad better to get over a 3DS, just because it has Windows 10.
Im from the gameboy advance era..
personally, I wouldn't buy this because I dont need it, but the prospect of being able to have windows 10 in my pocket really excites me
It does , doesn't it ? but the price range is way too high (similar to a XB1 and a PS4).
yes, but is your XB1 and PS4 that portable.....
didnt think so....
its like the internet "at least in MURICA" you pay for convienence...
only if you can see on such a tiny screen
same here
not familier with Wayland... can you explain or put a link about it....
It has an Intel quad core CPU, 4GB RAM, a 64GB storage solution and micro-SD expansion... that's damn impressive.
Atom CPU. I would like to see it with core m3 cpu with 515 intel gpu :).
I dunno... kinda smells like a smart phone to me
hydzior well it's not gonna be in i5, is it? It's an Atom X7 Z7850 I think.
nothing to do with a smartphone, actually you can plug your smartphone into this thing to flash its firmware
really really cool
It has the same specs (slightly more RAM) that Intel's computesticks have, but those are like 1/3 of the size of this.
"Stay tuned. Like... five years. And this would be awesome" - Linus
Looks like Steam Deck will come out just in time
everyone saying this is better than their computer makes me feel better about my laptop
Jackalope Animations
Good news: my computer has better specs than this one.
Bad news: It's a MacBook Air
it's more powerfull than my PC :(
my too
Gabriel Parker-Gifford I have a i5- 3337U with a gt710m :C
Gabriel Parker-Gifford lol i have dual titan xp:s and a 6900k in 4.7 Ghz get a better pc for cyber monday.
not really, but everyone cant spend several hundred dollars on a pc...
Holy shit! Your life has to be sad. Seems like you have to tell your Pc-Specs to feel better. No one gives a shit about fucking objects..
i have a gt525m 😂😂😂
Perfect for PS1/N64 Emulation!
Dunno if it can handle GameCube games tho
Isaax It can handle GameCube games very well, even Wii u games
it isnt even 1/4 as strang as the wii u
Digital Style Can it run half life 3 on the Sega dreamcast 2?
What??? Even an R9 390 hts about 40 fps for smash u.
The atom will handle some games but about 3/4 won't run at the original fps on the gamecube due to the lackluster single core performance.
MORE IO THAN MACBOOK LOL
Jackass Kitten for less than 1/5 the cost of the MacBook!
And also better
I died when he said that xD
How shoking!!!
"final fantasy tactics"
you've instantly earned my respect
Would have been impressive if that USB-C port was TB3 for E-GPU use
And at least a 1080p screen
Though thinking about it now, text would be minute on that...
Darrin Ramlochan The cpu would bottleneck almosy any modern gpu
true novashadow, but for just higher res gaming on an external monitor on older games where its not a bottleneck (cs:s, cs:go maybe, dota, etc) you could have a tower-less setup and just plug this in at home to game on a proper screen.
Thinking about it now, E-GPU would be kind of a far reach for this processor.
***** for recent AAA titles sure, but think CS:S at super high res on an external display, or even cs:go, dota, older AAA titles... scaling resolution doesn't impact CPU too much
Honestly... I think that tiny device is awesome.
Is it for everyone? no.
Would i like one?... yes.
Dude I want one too.
Its the kind of thing where the only justification to get it is because its really cool. I also want one just for the novelty factor and to play around with. It will not solve any big issue or have a really productive use case but it will probably be pretty fun.
César Clavería I'd say it's worth around $250. I'd love a higher spec for $300.
why do people ask questions like that to make them sound smarter? yes
are they actually just douchebags? hell yeah
***** Projecting much.
My GPD Win is probably my favourite gaming device of 2017. I've been able to complete some of my back catalogue of 1700 Steam games :) I'm working on getting more FPS and other tweaks to the GPD Win. I've even been able to get nintendo wii games working as well which is great!
I absolutely love your outlook over the product at the end. I have been commenting that on dozens of videos saying it's eh right now, but when it has the power to run 60 fps 1080 with ease (2-5 years) then the future is sweet baby!!!!
omg pair it up with the Razer external gpu!!!!
yeah would love to see THAT !
Jakob Alexandersen i has no thunderbolt
But this should work no ? www.anandtech.com/show/9963/asus-booth-tour-at-ces-2016-10g-switches-external-gpu-dock-usb-c/2
the USB C doesn't carry thunderbolt, unfortunately, so thats not possible. maybe in the future if it was included that would be kinda dope if you wanted a mid level gaming experience at home without having a desktop at all, just plug this into the gpu via the type c cable (not sure if it could charge at the same time or not, might need to sacrifice usb a for that) and run a larger display
Jakob Alexandersen yeah the cpu should be swapped with an i7-6700HQ with watercooling dock (like that asus laptop)
the watercooling dock should have a GPU in it (probably the gtx 1050Ti for it's low power usage)
it could be an awesome device.
docked in - gaming mode
docked out - productivity / web browsing mode.
and yet I still rock a Pentium dual core (1.8Ghz)
*Cries*
Natsheh Gaming reople balar xcom :D
At least is a legit dual core and not an hyperthreated one as my pentium 4
Natsheh Gaming dude I'm rocking a Pentium 3
honestly my dual pentium in my old sony vaio still runs OK w/windows 10 and upgraded ram.
Natsheh Gaming same Pentium T2370
Bought the GPD 1 back when it came out, and just got the GPD 4 today. So hype to use it when I get back from work
I know this videos over year old but you just suggested people to buy ear buds at 249.99 when they could buy that epic handheld bad match up here
This is basically like if Sony would just let you use your Vita/PSP how you want instead of locking it down.
I remember using my PSP to run emulators, browse the web, VNC into my server at home, use SSH to connect to school servers when doing homework back in 2007. Was awesome. Vita had a chance too, until Sony locked it down.
Meanwhile, you can pretty much use a Windows device in any way you want.
Wish I could just have a gaming handheld-form factor device as my phone/mobile device. This GPD is honestly a step in the right direction. I've always hated how mobile hardware companies made every single device in the last 8 years a brick with a big screen and 1-4 other buttons, no other input.
The Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS PSP, Vita, they were all good user experiences. Even the Nokia N-Gage, as limited as it was, was a step in the right direction for cell phones imo.
I would kill for a PS Vita-shaped Android/Win10 device with full touch screen mobile experience, traditional gaming inputs (which work fine for mouse/scrolling input and basic navigation functions), that can make outgoing calls with 4G LTE and built in mic/speakers.
Joseph DiSalvo Amen to all of this brother!!!
Companies seem to think it's touchscreen or nothing, when a joystick and buttons can work as well after a little getting used to (And a physical keyboard like the one here doesn't hurt either)
Joseph DiSalvo I seriously regret selling my psp 3000 to get a ps vita. I will never forget the emails I got from Sony every few weeks saying in the next update they are removing functionality for more and more apps. Also the proprietary charger and "sd" card was such a horrible move by sony. There are sooo many other things I can criticise much more about the vita, like its UI. Man that thing was a disaster.
you might want to keep an eye on this then, see if it comes to fruition- www.indiegogo.com/projects/smach-z-the-handheld-gaming-pc-games#/
Xacris Hm. A good effort, and a decent device. Not quite as pocket sized as any of the aforementioned devices.
You don't need a PC that can "play new AAA titles." You just need one that has a snappy UI that can play games 3+ years old and can emulate.
kaczmarek3007 don't forget the drm when transferring games, music and videos to a computer throw crappy content manager.
So the Ps vita could have been a hell of a thing with a proper design and follow by Sony
xpz7ls It's a very well designed device already. It just didn't get enough games and memory cards were way too expensive.
Merry Blind Well not that much , the L1 L2 buttons on the Pocket-sized is a better design i think , and sony got the Led screen out which is a mistake , etc...
xpz7ls i love my vita
xpz7ls if the memory cards weren't so expensive it would've been more popular
IT would have been more popular if the media didn't make it sound like there was nothing good on the VITA which there are more than enough
this whole video just felt like linus was making fun of apple...
not that thats a bad thing
hehe
Omar Eassa lol right
It's not really hard to make fun of clowns when their only jobs are being a clown.
So yeah. Apple is doing quite good making clown of themselves everytime they relase products.
No no no.. noooooooo no way.. nuh uh... apple makes fun of itself.
Isn't that every video? And also, can you blame him?
Do a review of the GPD Win 2 when it comes out. M3-7y30 CPU, 8GB RAM, M.2 SSD. Proper heat sink.
*My suggestions to improve it:*
- Switch the not-quite-powerful Intel chip with a *Kaby-Lake M CPU* and a *dedicated low-energy GPU*
- 1080p screen
- bigger screen
- Take the keyboard off and put another USB-port into it instead.
- Use the additional space to improve the button layout
- improve the shoulder-buttons / add a trigger for L2/R2
*Everything else looks nice!*
- *Runs x86_64 Windows 10 natively* so virtually *any PC* game can be played on it one way or another
- Has a Touchscreen
- Has controller-buttons built-in
*All in all:*
This device (with the mentioned improvements) is what I wanted the Nvidia Shield to be in the first place.
I hope that more manufacturers hop on board with making better versions of these! :D
Agreed on most, but the bigger screen.
but then it wouldn't be that usable as a mobile general windows platform for browsing, etc. youd end up needing to carry around a laptop for any convenience in web browsing. onscreen keyboard would be hell on a screen that small
1080p screen is a bit too much for 5 inches. 720p is fine. To up the res means more power consumption. No built in keyboard? Then it would only pushed for gaming. As linus said, remoting into your workstation seems a bit dope.
They could even use a tegra x2 to power it.
Yes and watch it melt in your hands.
It gets better frame rates than my 2011 MacBook Pro.
theacp127 LOL
theacp127 thats because its a macbook
MeestahBinks Fortunately I was able to save up and get a good windows desktop for gaming. The macbook is still good for taking notes and stuff for class.
"Mac"
***** That's what I told one of my friends before he bought a Macbook Air. He then got into gaming and hates that he didn't listen to me when I told him to get a decent windows laptop for the same amount of money.
8:36 Linus called it 6 years later and we now have the GPD win 4 releasing soon
Now we have the GPD WIN Mini Releasing soon
Best $320 I've spent in years.
KaZ Neosis can it run rocket league natively?
Im Exyrt natively no but at that point I don't think buying it worth to you
KaZ Neosis
Low spec hammer did a video getting rocket league to 30 fps on this.
here in italy is 297 € flash sale... can't wait to buy it....
Same!!! This thing rocks!!!
People have been waiting for console quality games on mobile devices for a long time. The reason it will never happen is because our definition of console quality games is changing faster than mobile processors and batteries can handle. By the time a game like FF15 is playable on mobile, everybody will be like "I can't wait until we can play games like FF20 on mobile!!!"
Streaming, of course, is a different story. When Internet speeds can handle it, that may be the best way to go.
***** Batterry life makes gaming laptops pretty much desktops. Also, laptop without a mouse or controller is not a good gaming laptop, and you can plug in a mouse or controller but is it really portable at that point if you're carrying around a mouse and plugging into an outlet.
nintendo switch is a cool device right!
MrLaeddis1 Wrong. Very. I give it 8 years.
The thing is, speed is not the only thing keeping game streaming from being more prolific.
Until Internet access can be gotten ANYWHERE in the world, no matter where you are, with no interruptions, no downtime, and no throttling whatsoever AND can be gotten for cheap so anyone and everyone can afford it, streaming will just be a cute little extra functionality.
this is better than my computer
Felix Chan Felix best trap
Jaispislimu 100% of it can't run on my laptop, 19% can run on my android phone
I love trap
Felix Chan I'm so sorry
Marko Semerdzhiev what pc you hav?
I would buy that as a pure emulation device.
Luciana Turner-Howard Fruin a decent smart phone can run any emulator up to psx very well.
i would run lots of ds emulators or 3ds emulators if possible since that's what it closely resembles
Then get the cheaper gpd xd
Well, you can buy the GPD XD Or XD Plus, Which is a pure emulation device.
@@blainechandler1551 who the fuck is gonna use touch controls or bring a big ass controller every time they go out?
As someone who grew up gaming on devices like my GBA, I love the idea of this little device and would totally buy a device like it in the future after they make some improvements, or you know if Steam were to ever actually make a portable console
lol dat prediction
But can it run Crysis :^)
yea like minecraft!!!1
TheUnexpected6 obviously
is anyone smart anymore? Man what a dumb question, is anyone smart anymore?
lol, i was about to say that
Owen Chen ha
Hey, Linus can you please try to water cool the GPD? xD
collin schlein no point
@Sarenacxd, the point is: for the lulz
collin schlein HELL YEAH DO IT
I think it would just be a cool vid if he did xD and for lolz
I water cooled my phone.
Just had to fish it out of the toilet afterwards.
Darn spot on your camera lens had me worried I'd damaged my screen. Thanks Linus
wow i must buy one
I might actually want this... Not for gaming. But because I want to be able to use linux when I'm out and about and tablets are unweidly and phones are not functional enough to be interesting to me. This looks like it hits the sweet spot between functionality and convenience. I would like to see a thinner non gaming focused adaptation.
xcvsdxvsx yeah but it looks like it's out of stock on amazon
DogsRNice that's awesome news. it means we might see more of this type of thing in the future.
theres a port of ubuntu to the shield tablet
you're not the only one... In my opinion that's the best use for this kind of devices...
I got a macbook specifically for linux. I got mine second hand, but a 1.9 pound 13 inch linux machine is perfect.
But can it run Crysis!?
Yes. Not very well, but it can run Crisis.
EuropeanDude No, only 1 fps
CrazySpinach 79 not yet i guess...
yes, 30~40 fps on "low", way better than a x360/ps3
B U T C A N I T D J E N T ?
got one and yea
grate for my work where I flyin flyout from home..
grate lil companion while stuck in a flight to work...
8:41 "five years from now this technology is gonna be awesome"
5 years later: Gpd win 3, Aya neo, Steam Deck
This thing is better than my pc.
same
Same. I get 30-45 fps ON FLIPIN ROBLOX
i get 60 fps 1080p max on my laptop
LeoJB04 there was a time that I played Minecraft on 1 fps.... I was excited when it would run at 5
Trevor Respress On 1 fps literally closing the game will take 5 minutes due to the mouse barely moving at all. lies
This thing costs less than my laptop but runs 300x better... nice
So you have some sort of pentium PC from 1998 that's also a collectors item?
Nah it's a laptop so prabably due to overheating it runs like crap :D Especially older Dells they run very hot even if you maintain them they just run like toasters :D
My HP burns up to about 70° and it runs games but its so old that I don't even remember what modal it is
How much does this cost?
I think it’s a cool idea. Technology like this will only get better, and that’s a pretty exciting thing.
Yes it is my friend. Steam Deck OLED, Asus ROG Ally, Lenovo Legion Go, the future of handhelds is here and it's pretty awesome indeed 😄
This is really cool, especially with the Steam In-Home Streaming. Might have to check this out.
i was waiting for linus to say "But can it run crysis" 😂😂😂
It can
Jihan Alam Me 2.
Jihan Alam for 500$ it should he able to run 6 of them st once
When you take in to account the price of windows 10 $100-$130 this is a pretty good deal. Its better than my old netbook.
100+ is for the consumer version where you get a license and can install and move from device to device as you like. They are getting the OEM version which is locked to the motherboard from the factory, but a lot cheaper. Actually, I think Microsoft gives away OEM licenses for free to devices below 8 inches screen size, as part of their strategy of building up mobile market share. That's why there's a lot of 8-inch Windows tablets around and almost no 9-inch or 10-inch ones.
Ty_Braek i bought a windows 10pro key for 40bucks
matemana
No, it is shipped with Windows included, and even if you could then the price difference would be much less than 100$ because OEM's like the producers of this thing get an OEM license, which is a lot cheaper. If I remember correctly, they actually get it for free because the device screen is less than 8' diagonally. So no, there's no reason why you should get a 100$ discount for dropping Windows even if you could do that.
who in their right mind would pay real money for an operating system that is full of spyware and eats your drive space with forced updates that you CANNOT disable
and with only 64GB of space that device will very quickly run out of storage even if you dont install anything on it thanks to micro$oft
+MWB Gaming Windows 10 pro you can turn off auto updates.
This is so amazing! I can't wait to get mine :)
Great review, as always. I'm almost surely going to buy one at last.
that moment when you realize your pc runs games worse than a ds sized pc
Dan JN when its true
it's a nice gadget to be honest.
The price is..ehm.. a little high for now, but the idea is amazing.
I hate playing emulators on my smart phone (I own a razr D3 that has a tiny display)
so being able to use them with an actual controller included in the device is a plus
It's a cool thing, but I would wait at least a year to see if it evolves into something better
I'd buy it if I had the cash tho
oh and i almost forgot, changing my smart phone is out of the question. I like the size and it's comfortable to use.
N1nj4 How about Sony Xperia Z5 Compact?
Probably won't evolve much since Intel is bailing out and AMD low-power APUs are too hot for this size.
Check out the clip-on controllers from MOGA. They're designed specifically to use with phones. I love to use emulators on my phone when I'm travelling so I bought one a few years ago. Mine is the base model one so it runs on AAA batteries but they make much higher quality versions than the one I have that don't require batteries.
I bought one, and have had it for a while. It is an impressive device!! It is better than all of the computers I have owned (my computers were from 2013, and 2015 btw). I could do video editing, play kick ass games, read books, connect my wacom tablet to draw on photoshop, and even do work. It is a PC in your pocket. It could do pretty much anything a regular laptop can do. However, it does have cons - but the pros definitely outweigh them. I highly recommend getting one. They're hard to find though...
Just the video I've been looking for, thanks for making videos like this.. Here take my sub! 😀
Wow this is actually impressive.
this is a pretty cool looking little thing for travelling with
I heard the Tactics music while tabbed out listening to this video and immediately hard war flashbacks to the Argath Thedalfus in FFXIV because they brought back Ivalice stuff in a raid and used that music for it.
Linus, reviwer GPD Win 2, like so we get their attention
GPD Win 2 will be a game changer.
Yaaa
Only problem is its gonna be $600-$700... which is a couple hundred more than I would want to spend on one
Corey Jackson if you think about it, it's only slightly more expensive compared to a normal laptop that would run the same performance.
Expensive for a handheld, decent for a laptop.
When you realize Linus is ripped. 5:08 Look at those arms damn sons
GFUEL.
IT CAN PLAY PS2 GAMES!!!!
3 HOUR GAMING BATTERY
In short this thing is pretty freakin' amazing and everyone should get one
***** I got mine running kingdom hearts 1 perfect and kingdom hearts II nearly perfect (A bit slow on the crazy bosses). Most of the games I tried are playable. It is kind of funny though since most of the games I thought weren't going to work worked and a lot of the games I thought were going to work didn't work. Like the ratchet and clank games don't work at all.
it can play ps2 games for 350 dollars Terrible . get a Nintendo switch and play modern games on the go
Regarding the battery life, if you charge it fully it can play games for around 4 hours, if watching the video it can last for 8-10 hours.
Michael Justice "Get a Nintendo switch" Cause we all know that's released right... It wasn't released last I checked (Unless it was released in which case well then)
Zohonde Kids I still want the Switch but I don't want to just play nintendo games on the go.
another GPD product is coming out, GPD Pocket, would really love to see u guys review that!!!
Just got my gpd win and love it.
$500 for a useless piece of crap? What channel is this, Unbox Therapy?
Isaax Another auto-insulter
Lol yes
i literally cam from unbox therapy
Unbox Therapy? more like Sponsor Therapy
true true
I checked the details. Made in Shenzhen. Damn it, this city is the future.
the wonders of the few chinese cities that are open to business to foreign companies unlike the rest of China
Shenzhen is just specialized as a tariff-free trade zone. U can set up companies in most of Chinese cities. R u Chinese or have u been to china?
Shanghai also has a tariff-free trade zone. But almost all countries impose tariff. Shenzhen and Shanghai are just specifically open.
I'm going to need to see full benchmarks on this custom PC.
Thats crazy freaking cool. I am waiting too long for such a device, need it right now, need it in the past, man what I am talking!!! ITS SO AWESOME
In future they'll have 1080s in these
THEY ARE COUDFUNDING ANOTHER ONE WITH 1080P SCREEN
in the future gtx 1080 will be low end graphics card
Night Shadow in the future gtx 1080 will cost like 10$
Shapunky in the future 1080 will be like the 210 today
Night Shadow man technology is so fast.
looks like a ds
Gamerdude0072 do you have eyes
PCDS
GPD PCDS
i type most things and i could see this being perfect to open and edit google docs
am soo tempted to actually get this
It may be far from perfect, but it makes me happy for a future where I can use this as a laptop and have it on my person.
Thanks for your support. We appreciate that you enjoy our product.
GPD GameCenter It makes me excited for the future that this idea holds, you guys rock and I hope you are successful!
GPD Game Console Listen, guys, when you become revolutionary with these amazing products, and become rich, please don't be as anti consumer and stupid as Apple.
00:52 What happened to good old fashioned coffee?!
man you just threw me into some weird memory vortex when you mentioned all the korean kids having those dictionaries (im korean, i never had one but my cousins did and i remember playing with it as a kid) lmfao damn i havent even thought of those in like a decade

I remember being blown away when I saw a concept for a mobile device that had a port for Sega Genesis cartridges similar to how the Game Gear worked. The battery life is what killed off the project. Now look at all these devices we have now
Sega Nomad.

Unbelievable how much handheld pic gaming evolved in 6 years!!!
I liked the video for the most part and would have liked to seen the HDMI graphics demo as well.
Looks like a Nintendo DS turned PC.
This device also impressed me, it is perfect for retro gaming. Older PC games, or other games running with emulators. Sure the battery life is bad, but just use a external battery pack to charge it and you can play for a long time. Plus this is such a great portable win10 device if you need to use it for that as well.
It would have been nice if they had a more expensive version that was a bit bigger and thicker so they could squeeze more power into the device. As long as you can put it in a normal or large coat pocket.
I own one of these, and it's AMAZING if you care for every PC game made before 2012.
It will run ALL OF THEM, you might need to run them on low settings, but they all run smoothly.
It will also play modern lightweight indie titles.
This is a great device if you like me and spend 12 hours a day working away from home or traveling to/from work and want to get in gaming during lunches, breaks, or on the train.
i plan on getting one here soon
still better than a ps4
Frédo Gubrt this is the best comment ive seen here. Agreed. #pcmasterace
Frédo Gubrt truly better.. I feel like buying it.. just not sure yet..
Agreed... Its pretty good as an idea but it needs more power for it to be a true solution to mobile windows gaming
problem is cooling and the size, simply Intel did not release yet such SOC
I enjoy my GPD Win alot, it runs a lot of older good games pretty well
This could be a useful travel PC for checking emails, watching a couple of movies or so, checking social media, etc.
Yeah, the port count is insane on this one. Also, I use a school-issued MacBook; just a couple days ago, I looked at my father's 4 year old HP laptop and was amazed (it has more than two USB ports, one ethernet, and even some VGA ports).
I'm getting this after watching this video! I need a full pc to be able to access my workplace VPN (which requires a plugin) excluding all phones and non-WIndows tablets.
I might have to get one too... Be interested to see if it runs linux

5 years from now it will blast indeed
2:26 - oh, the gentle stab.
A Windows 10 OS that doubles as a hand-held gaming device? This is the future!
If windows and Nintendo had a baby, that will be the baby
It would be called the wintendow
Well they are in a relationship right now
Shrek Is drek here hm?
And it would be something only a mother would love
The intro is extremely awesome
would suit me perfectly for work :P as there potentially can be dead time where something like this is gold
