  • Warm-up routine that also will help you to prevent injuries, improve capacity for movement and perform better! Thanks to U18 National Champs, current UBC athletes and Team Canada Junior / Traffic Elite Womens Ultimate athletes Judith and Emma for helping to demo and inspire.

    would this be done,
    1) Before casual throwing and a warm up lap?
    2) During a tournament, is this something you should do in the morning once or before each game?

Ideally this takes place before fast dynamics (butt kicks, high knees, carioca, shuffle step, sprint starts, backpedals, broad jumps) and skill warmups. You may find you're feeling well enough to ditch the warm-up lap. The only other thing you might consider would be some individualized mobility work, rehab or prep/taping prior to the activation. That would be extremely pro :)

+Nathan Kolakovic ideally this is first, maybe after some specific rolling or specific rehab and prep exercises. But you could make am argument for casual throwing and a gentle was up lap. After this routine we would do fast dynamics like high knees etc.
During a tournament, before each game unless games are near back to back.
