- Hello. This is the video continuation of the new style of powder hopper I made for my homemade powder coating gun. I tested the new design and compare it with my existing hopper. You may find this DIY hopper design useful even for some store-bought powder coating gun.

Hi Phil, I made your original design cascade using the same components. I have made a powder coating gun out of a paint spray gun which has a top feed. This works extremely well so long as you don't you it as gravity feed. It still needs to have pressure to the pot so there is a fair bit of modification to the gun and a atomizer added inside the pot. I was hoping I could add a photo of the final project but CZcams does not allow that function. If you would like to see it give me a contact and i will send it to you. It works great. Hello Phill, I was copying your build and was wondering if I used 20kv capacitors would I get the same results if I use 300kv, like you did just with more wired in line?
Hi. Yes, that is in fact a better design. The commercial high voltage cascade has at least 10 stages of the voltage multiplier. That makes the capacitor smaller. Also the voltage between stages is lower therefore less possibility of sparks jumping within the capacitors which cause inefficiency. The only reason I used the 30 kV capacitor is that is what's available at the time I made the prototype. I will be making a second version of the high voltage cascade using smaller capacitors and 10 stages.

ตอนแรกอยากใช้ 20kv แต่ไม่มีขายเลยใช้ 30kv ใช้ได้ทั้ง 20kv และ 30kv เพราะแรงดันจะไม่เกิน 20 kV ในหนึ่งคาปาซิเตอร์ 20 kV มีขนาดเล็กกว่าและราคาถูกกว่าด้วย

Oo pwede. Ang tawag dun hot flocking. Bale painitin muna sa pugon yung ipa powder coat. Habang mainit sprayan ng powder. Didikit yung powder paint kasi matutunaw agad yun. Hindi narin kailangan ng ground.
The other way to powder coat gun without the electronics is called tribo gun. That uses teflon on the gun powder outlet to charge the powder. I will try to make one in the future.

Bro, i have torble.. saya mendapatkan masalah. Powder flocking sekitar 500gram milik saya karena tersimpan ditoples sekitar lebih dari 6 bulan, powder flocking saya menggumpal. Bagaimana caranya agar kembali menjadi powder. Mohon di jawab saya merasa kebingungan karena saat di aplikasi kan hasil nya menjadi tidak sempurna
