  • The HK USP (Universal Self-Loading Pistol was design in 1993 as an entry into the USSOCOM Offensive Handgun Weapon System Trials. It passed all test with flying colors, including NATO Trials. It's a classic but still viable today and rough as nails. #USP9 #HKUSP9 #HKUSP

Here in Germany we know how to build guns and yes we are also allowed to own them even with 15 round magazines.

The USP in my opinion is the greatest polymer hammer fired pistol ever made. Have owned my USP 40 since 1994 and still rides next to my bed nightly.

All my USP pistols are the lite LEM variant... Actually all my HK pistols are lite LEM... The USP is probably the most durable, reliable pistol made today, besides the Mark23... I fully trust my life to any of my HK pistols, particularly the USP... A lot of people hate on the .40 cal, but I have to say that my USP .40 has about the same recoil as my 9mm USP... I would be happy to have a USP in any caliber if I had to go into any hostile environment...

One of the finest pistols ever made, combat tested, elegant and ergonomic.

I lost all my guns in a boating accident, but i would love to have this one in the future.

Good to see a fresh review of the USP - it's still just as relevant, and arguably still a lot better, than many other options out there. I've owned and shot quite a few DA/SA pistols, but my USP Compact has risen to the top of the list.

Still my favorite. No picatinny rail, no fancy grip texture. Clean and simple.

I bought the USP. 45 in 2007. It's an awesome pistol. I'd trust it as if my life depended on it. Never failed yet. It runs and feeds any and all kinds of ammo. Mix and match, it doesn't matter. Hot loads or range loads.

Great video! As an HK nut I have to add a couple things. The USP and Mk23 were developed together. The USP never participated in the OHWS trials. That was strictly the Mk23. The first couple years of USP had land an groove barrels. In about 1995-1996 they went to polygonal. I have a 94 USP 40 with land and groove. The German model is called the P8, the successor to the P7 as you mentioned. The build quality and reliability of the USP is simply unmatched.

    Useful tip for USP owners:

I've only been to the range once in my life. Shot a bunch of different hand guns, but the USP was the one that I felt most comfortable with. The grip, the weight, trigger, recoil, everything just felt like it was glued to my hand. Doubt I will ever purchase or get into firearms, but if that day ever happens, will definitely be looking at the USP.

I have the 9mm and 45mm, been carring them since the 90's, my go-to all around, never a problem, easy to shoot and clean.

I love my full size USP 9. It’s a tack driver and my bed side gun. I can shoot it better than any gun I own. Incredibly accurate and reliable. Just like you said.

The German-ness of this pistol is clearly visible on the sharp edges, 45 degree slopes and just the whole geometry looks like

USP 9mm full size was my first pistol and still my everyday carry. The only pistol that I own that I like more is my MARK23

I LOVE my USP pistols! They are virtually indestructible, and it’s a pleasure to shoot. I really like the larger trigger guard for shooting w/ gloves in the Winter.
