Getting Lost in the Lost Woods - The Legend of Zelda - Part 3

The original Legend of Zelda for the NES. I'm trying to beat it for the first time, and I'm using only the original game manual and the map that came with it. Honestly, it's turning out to be quite a cool experience. It's challenging too; feels like there's always some dude shooting stuff at you. And it genuinely feels good getting powerups and slowly getting better at the game.
Anyways, this time around I explored around in the overworld in search of valuable treasures!

It’s too painful not to give clues. The candle gets you to a 90 rupee shield, one of five extra heart containers and free rupees. It’s a good idea for those not familiar with the game to pay for information, that’s how I found my way out of the lost woods the first time back in the day,
