Michael Redd: BACK-TO-BACK Knee Injuries STOLE THE PRIME of this Milwaukee Bucks Great | FPP

  • He was a local star at Ohio State where as a sophomore he led the Buckeyes to their best tournament run in over 30 years. When he got to the NBA he was buried on the bench behind great scorers like Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson in Milwaukee. He wasn’t known as a shooter when he entered the league, but worked to become one of the greatest shooters of his generation. When Ray Allen was traded during his third season, he got a better chance alongside Sam Cassell and Gary Payton, but once those two left, the Bucks were Redd’s team and he would respond with 5 straight seasons averaging over 20 points per game. At his best, he could hang with the best of them, but he played on bad Bucks teams whose other top players were Mo Williams and Andrew Bogut. But sadly for Redd, at just 29 years old, he blew out his knee, then a year later, he blew it out again. After this he was never the same player and only lasted a few more years in the league. But before the injuries, Michael Redd was one of the most complete scorers in the NBA and had proved a lot of his doubters wrong throughout his career.

REDD gave Kobe-BUCKETS !!! 44 pts, take that Black Mamba-LOL. Redd was a very good player and shooter, injury bug gets the best of any player. The human body wasn't built to play 82 games a season, plus if you make the playoffs too.

Greal player. I was a fan of Redd he the quickest lefty shots to me. By time you get in him to defend it his shot was already in the air. Another profile you should do is his teammate for I think a season Lindsey Hunter. He tends to get overlooked.

He was one of my favorite shooters ever , he had that kinda instant catapult like shot , very fast and accurate similar to Peja. I was surprised to learn he wasn't much of a shooter before NBA though. It was disappointing injuries ruined such a great player to watch.

Man, back in 2004, 05, 06, 07ish, Michael Redd was rumored to sign with the Cavs and join LeBron here in Cleveland. He was all but signed. We would've won a title with Michael Redd and LeBron had that happened. I said what I said.

If you want to do a hard-mode, do one about Al "The Destroyer" Attles, who started out as an enforcer for Wilt Chamberlain (despite being 6'0", he was the enforcer, not Wilt) on the Warriors, and became first a player/coach then a coach for the team (second black NBA coach, after Bill Russell), won a championship as a coach, was one of the first black GMs, and then had various positions with the team. Since 1960 until today, he has been employed by the Warriors (though in the past 20 years or so as an ambassador, meaning PR / outreach guy, rather than in basketball operations), and is somewhat of an Oakland legend.
He's one of the rare players whose basketball career never actually ended.

George Karl was a players cancer, you cant go from franchise to franchise and don't get along with the players you coach
