@@Alfredo8059 I’m astonished, and saddened, that so many Roman Catholics choose to ignore actual Biblical Scripture (or just don’t know it) and support a church (lowercase) that purports to be followers of Christ and of His Bible, yet has DANGEROUSLY departed from actual Biblical Christian doctrine in MANY CRITICAL areas! If Roman Catholicism claims to follow Christ and His Bible, then start teaching and FOLLOWING the Bible. Stop teaching things that CONTRADICT what The Bible actually says.
We really shouldn’t need to even be having this discussion. Who would have thought that simply FOLLOWING THE BIBLE would be controversial for Christians? If we as Christians claim to be followers of Christ then FOLLOW WHAT HIS BIBLE SAYS! The Bible needs NO additions. It needs NO subtractions. If the Bible says it, believe it and own it! If something speaks CONTRARY to The Bible we are called as Christians to “contend for the faith” and speak out AGAINST heresy.
“Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

If we claim to be followers of Christ, simply follow and believe what He said was true! Trust in HIM, NOT in man made “religion”
Following is a summarized paragraph with references found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) of many of the false teachings of Roman Catholicism. How do we know they are false? By comparing Scripture with what is taught.
The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105), Infallibility of the Catholic Church, (CCC 2035), Only the Roman Catholic Church has authority to interpret Scripture (CCC 100), The Pope is the head of the church and has the authority of Christ (CCC 2034), The Roman Catholic Church is necessary for salvation (CCC 846), Sacred Tradition equal to scripture (CCC 82), Forgiveness of sins, salvation, is by faith and works (CCC 2036 CCC 2080 2068), Full benefit of Salvation is only through the Roman Catholic Church (Vatican 2, Decree on Ecumenism, 3), Grace can be merited (CCC 2010 CCC 2027), The merit of Mary and the Saints can be applied to Catholics and others (1477), Penance is necessary for salvation (CCC 980), Purgatory (CCC 1031 CCC 1475), Indulgences (CCC 1471 CCC 1478 CCC 1498 CCC 1472), Mary is Mediatrix (CCC 969), Mary brings us the gifts of eternal salvation (CCC 969), Mary delivers souls from death (CCC 966), Prayer to the saints (CCC 2677), The Communion elements become the actual body and blood of Christ (CCC 1374 CCC 1376).
At the Council of Trent, the Roman Catholic Church literally declared the Gospel that JESUS AND THE APOSTLES preached..... an anathema.
In Session 6. Canons XXIV, IX, XII, XVIII, XIX, XX, XXVII, XXIX, XXX, and XXII. I urge everyone to look these up.
      The Bible says.....
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
      ‭‭
      Galatians‬ ‭1:8-9‬ ‭
Rome ABSOLUTELY preaches a “different gospel” and is guilty of this passage from Galatians.
ACCURSED! That’s a pretty serious charge. Those are The Apostle Paul’s God Inspired words.
The Bible disagrees with MANY of Roman Catholicism’s teachings. Rome’s problem is with THE BIBLE, not me. I’m simply praying for you that you see the beautiful Light and Glory of the pure and true gospel before it’s too late. I didn’t write the message, I’m simply a messenger.
Satan has blinded the eyes of millions and millions of Catholics. I pray for them often..........
      Lastly,
Below is a post I copied from the “pope”. Anyone who actually does study the Bible will know how incredibly unbiblical and wrong it is.
“Mary is not only the bridge joining us to God; she is more. She is the road that God travelled to reach us, and the road that we must travel in order to reach him”.
This blasphemous statement was written on the “pope’s” Twitter account. March 25th 2021 at 5:31 am. I urge everyone to look it up for themselves.
It is not only unbiblical but is an absolute insult to The Lord Jesus Christ.

@@AVKingJamesBible, You should know a basic Catholic doctrine: Public revelation ceased with the death of the last Apostle ( Saint John, ca. AD 100). Thank you for sharing your views. With all due respect, first, you take some phrases out of context. Second, you read them according to your own theology, biases, prejudices and assumptions. It is no the Scripture that disagrees with Catholic teaching, it's your interpretation of what you read that disagrees with Catholic teachings. So, the important question: Is your reading comprehension infallible? And implied to that question is : Do your assumptions have any authority whatsoever? As a Catholic I am told that if a teaching contradicts Scripture, that teaching must be wrong. Catholic teachings surely contradict your understanding of some passages of Scripture, but it does not mean that they contradict Scripture. I am going to address one claim you make: "The Catholic Church is the one true church (CCC 2105). Catholic means " of all (Jews and Gentiles) The Church is the body of Christ, so there is only one Catholic Church, one faith, one Lord. (Eph. 4:5-8). In Protestantism you have as many faiths as leaders you have. Heresy is that special moment when a proud man/woman believes to have greater spiritual insight than the Apostles, Disciples, Apostolic Fathers, the Church and the Magisterium because that proud man/woman has a Bible that they wrote, compiled and gave him/her. Is your interpretation of Scripture better than Saint Augustine's? Better than Ignatius of Antioch's ? Better than Justin Martyr's? they were Catholic and they read the Bible as Catholics do. @@Hello-hn9kq , you , or your teachers, clearly misunderstand both, Scripture and Catholic doctrines. "Pray" is a matter of semantics and communion of saints. About "father": Saint Paul in 1 Cor. 4:14-15 claims for himself the title "father" in the spirirual sense. Is your interpretation of Matt.23:9 incorrect or is St Paul sinning. What I find consistent with Protestants (individual and teachers) is thay they proudly will take a verse from the Bible and isolate it (according to some one's pride and unlearned "wisdom") out of context and attempt to make it stand on its own. Pride, ignorance and unstableness: What a dangerous mix!!! "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction." 2 Peter 3:16. Why do Protestantism contradict the early Church Fathers understanding of Scripture? "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." 1 Peter 5:5. When a proud Protestant says that this or that Catholic teaching is contrary to a particular passage of Scripture, what he/she is actually saying is that this or that Catholic teaching is contrary to his/her fallible understanding of that particular passage of Scripture. Do you really believe your assumptions, prejudices, reading comprehension, biases .... and opinions inspired? What a pride!! God bless you. May the Lord open your eyes and mind.

@@Alfredo8059 Paul writes “I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He says this because he is the father of the church, because he spent the majority of his lifetime building the church literally from the ground up. He traveled impossible distances and was stoned, shipwrecked and faced many other obstacles.
“For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”
      ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
He says that through Jesus he has begotten us, through the gospel. We were reborn under him, though Christ Jesus. Born Again. I don’t think he is claiming the be our father, but rather the father of the church in general, as if anyone does truly deserve that title it is him.
MATT. 23:8 “But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers.
MATT. 23:9 “Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.
MATT. 23:10 “Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ.
Rabbi is a name for teacher, and you have one teacher, as simply put in verse 8.
You have one father, as simply put in verse 9.
We have only one leader, as is quite simply written in verse 10.
Even if I’m just not understanding correctly, and Paul did refer to himself plainly as our father, then he is wrong. I believe Jesus’ word over a man’s word any day. But I respect Paul tremendously and I don’t think he would claim to be our father in that respect, I think he truly meant father of the body of the church because he built it all, as he was instructed to by the teacher, who is the Lord.
As for prayer, Mary was a sinner as well, and she had to be saved as well. If Jesus wanted us to pray to Mary I believe he would have said so and I don’t think that this (verse below) would have happened.
“While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:46-50‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus did not view the biological relationships between families as with much value, as is evident in many instances throughout the gospel, as he doesn’t even allow those who wish to follow him to say goodbye to their families or to bury their relatives. He says “let the dead bury their dead”.
Jesus was a man, like the rest of us, but he was also the son of God, and he was sent here like the Lamb sacrifice similar to what was done in the Old Testament
“and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: and the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.”
      ‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭16:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬
Jesus is the lamb who was slain, who had the sins of the world placed onto his head. He was crucified and was dead for 3 days, before rising up. Whatever he says, I believe. If you can find a scripture which says that we should or even can pray to Mary, please tell me, because I am willing to learn as long as I know it is true. I don’t aim to be prideful, but I have to stand by what is the foundation of truth which is the word, and if the “Catholic doctrine” goes against even a single thing which is uttered from the mouth of God, I do not believe it and I will not follow it. I suggest you take a step away from Catholicism and truly determine what the scriptures mean to you, because you seem like a man after truth, and I want to help you get there. Shed your presuppositions and humble yourself to learn what God is trying to tell us.
“Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; And seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest at any time they should see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And should understand with their heart, And should be converted, and I should heal them.”
      ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭13:13-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
I listen to Jesus before any religion, and the Jews valued their rules and regulations over their God. Even when Jesus was removed from his tomb by the angel of the lord, when the Roman soldiers guarding the tomb reported to the religious leaders what had happened, they paid them not to speak a word of truth, and to say that the disciples came and got them. They were truly prideful and unwilling to admit they were wrong, don’t be like them. And I pray that I don’t become prideful and if I have become prideful already then I pray that I lose that pride. Please incline your ears to the words of Jesus instead of to the doctrines of your religion.

Many of these denominations are misleading (subtly, as the serpent deceived Eve, just like Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 11:3) millions to not realize the *SIMPLICITY* in knowing Christ Jesus unto true Salvation -> being born again of Jesus' Holy Spirit.
Remember, in John 3 (read it), Jesus said the *(Holy) SPIRIT* goes where He Wills. That means this is a literal re-birth in the Spirit of God in our hearts. Being born again of the Holy Spirit is a literal event. Back in 1996, I simply prayed and asked Jesus to come into my heart and I literally *FELT* Him enter, and the moment this happened, I burst into tears of overwhelming joy and love and peace! Before praying, I did not expect to actually feel something, but I did! He's literally there right now in my chest. :) I had an experience last year, where He reminded me of this, too:
*JESUS is my Treasure!* One morning I woke up quite suddenly at around 5 o'clock; in the moment, I was given a vision of what looked like a *white mist* slowly swirling in my chest. I saw Him for around 3 seconds. Then the words spoken to me: *"I'm still here." :)* in this tender-loving voice. Right after I heard that, I put my hands over my heart and said to Jesus: *"YOU'RE MY HIDDEN TREASURE!" :D* - I was so overjoyed! :) He revealed His presence to me so unexpectedly! I saw His Holy Spirit! :)

*2 Corinthians 4:7* -- _"But we have this _*_Treasure_*_ in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the Power may be of God, and not of us."_

      ----
I've read and heard many testimonies of ex-catholics claiming that their priests never told them about being BORN AGAIN! That's astounding because being born again is *THE ONLY WAY* to enter into the Kingdom of God! I'd urge all catholics to get out of catholicism. Its head elite are satanic cultists. Just google image search: *VATICAN HALL* and see that big serpent face? satanic cultists. Now the pope is trying to form a one world religion and government. It's like he's TRYING to be the false prophet written of in the book of Revelation. We're in the end times, please simply accept Jesus into your heart right now. It's that simple. Get away from doctrines of men. Salvation is simplicity in Christ Jesus, knowing Him, having Him in your heart. That's it. :)
P.S. It's not we who dedicate our 'lives' to Christ Jesus. It's *Christ Jesus* Who dedicates *His LIFE* to us... when we become born again of the Holy Spirit of God. :)

I had a dream, about 1 to 2 years ago, I had a dream that I was running away from people dressed in black, covered in all black. I was running so fast to get away from them. I then ran into this stadium, and went into a room. When I came into the room there was a light, and all the people that were running after stoped suddenly. I then stopped and turned, I said to myself “why did they stop running” I turned back to look, and the sky was parting. I had never seen such a beautiful thing in my life. It was like colors of space in the galaxy. And then a white light. The light was blinding. I then looked the the right of myself, and an angel stood next to me. He had on armor. And I said to him “ Am I going to heaven, is God coming to save me?!” And he didn’t answer me. I saw then A man on a white horse. I couldn’t really see his face. But I knew who he was. He was JESUS. Remember the Bible says that the Lord will come down on a white horse. So when I saw him I was shocked. I was asking him “ are you here to save me, am I going to heaven?”. When I woke up, I jolted out my my sleep. I was immediately in tears. I am sharing this with you all because I am a Christian. Every morning I pray, I can’t get up without praying or else I feel like I’m not good inside, I also spread to word on tumblr, everyday when I read plans on the Bible app. I love God with every fiber in my Body. God says to confess your sins to one another. I struggle with sexual sin and I don’t want to idolize anyone. There was a time when I gave my life up to Christ, and I was struggling still with sexual sin, I prayed for forgive every time, but I still ended up doing it over again. I told God that I don’t deserve to be a called a child of him. I ask of you please to pray for me. I pray that God heals me. I feel lost at times. The enemy tries to fill my thought with lies and tries for me to curse God, and make me think against God, and tries to trick me in saying things that I don’t mean. Please pray for me. Amen

We are made in God's image. God is Love. When you do not love deeply from the heart, you become empty. Your human nature will seek a substitute for love. That is why it is addictive. This is incorrect according to God’s word. Being born again is to be born of the Holy Spirit. Water baptism is an outward sign of this but is not required. Being born of the Holy Spirit changes a person to love that which is righteous. It’s a supernatural phenomenon that God does to give you a new heart and new desires. We need to have an individual, personal experience.
It is our duty as a Christian to test all teachings.
And since it was the Spirit of God that inspired the Bible, it is impossible that the teaching of the Spirit should ever be contrary to that of the word.
The Spirit was not given--nor can it ever be bestowed--to supersede the Bible; for the Scriptures explicitly state that the word of God is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. Deus Vult “the perfectly-valid criticisms of Catholicism is VERY TELLING.” We definitely don’t hear that faux defense all the time and it’s definitely not the spiritual equivalent of “why do you care so much?” ::: That, and the weak defense of “it’s been an institution for soooo looooong.” Duration has nothing to do with accuracy and everything to do with prestige which is worldly. Don’t eat meat, wash migrant feet, worship the sun, lead the charge in global warming hoax, etc. Communion is saying Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t good-enough the first time, what a statement. Confession is saying Jesus lied when He said “I have torn the veil” and “no one gets to the FATHER (only God is spiritual father) unless by me.” Saying the pope is infallible goes against Christ who said “why call me good? no man is good but God” and good means “morally perfect.” Claiming any human has that power is idolatrous.
2nd commandment is “thou shalt not make no graven images.” Catholics took that out cause they kept getting called-out and asked questions. The 9th commandment is “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor.” That means covet ANYTHING your neighbor has... money, kids, house, wife... Catholic Church snakily divides 9 into 9 and 10: “thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s goods” and “thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.” /// Coveting thy neighbor’s wife falls under COVET in general and the splitting of the 9th commandment is desecrating God’s words and “laws.” But yeah, it’s definitely “God’s preferred church.” Wake up.

It has been 46 years of life… I have been through many many things I would love to share with people… But through it all I’ve never turned my back on the Lord… He is still with me… I still have love joy and peace all day long… I endeavor to guard my heart… To make sure I am always in peace… If I don’t have peace I check with the Lord Right away and he gives me wisdom liberally… And I confess whatever he shows me and my joy and love and peace is reestablished… It flows through me effortlessly… I am experiencing true life…Sin will block your love joy and peace… I’m speaking to born-again Christian’s… If you don’t have peace you need to ask the Lord why… And you need to listen to him!

The Gospel is not about justification as a legal fiction by faith alone (faith alone, before or apart charity is nothing according to 1 cor. 13:2). For 15 centuries no sound Christian believed justification as a mere legal exchange. Therefore, according to Protestant theory , Christ set up a Church where no one could be saved for 15 centuries. There was a total apostasy on the issue of salvation from the very beginning. That theory is almost as bad as the Mormons, just 3 centuries earlier than Protestant theory

(that is Catholic) No works can do that ( That is Protestant) Works from God can ( Eph 2:10) perfect our faith "Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?" James 2:22. Luther (Sola Fide' father) introduced a novel idea that no one had ever heard before, which is that God makes the believer to be just not by infusing Christ's righteousness, not by changing his character, but rather by imputing the righteousness of Jesus. So for Luther, God would look at a sinful person and say I'll just treat you as if you were righteous. That's called imputed righteousness. Luther and Calvin rejected the Catholic doctrine of "purgatory" because purgatory clearly contradicted their Protestant faith.
The "not by works" means our own works cannot justify, But God's works can perfect our faith so we can be really righteous. The goal is to have Jesus' mind. God is Almighty and truth. Blessings

Luther's idea of Simul Justus et Peccator is not affirmed by a slim majority of Protestants - did you know that? I believe that Christ gives us actual righteousness that actually becomes the substance of who we are - we no longer have to be bound by the "sinner" identity. However, it took a book from a friend to change my view on this - that teaching comes from the Pentecostal/Wesleyan-Holiness Charismatic tradition.
Ephesians 2:10 is really important to me. I was baptized as an adult, so I had to choose a set of verses (and I chose Eph 2:8-10 - the whole set). It really irks me when people quote Ephesians 2:8-9 without verse 10, because verse 10 is part of the packaged deal.

It's good to hear that you wish to come closer to the LORD and to help others. That's how we Christians should be. But what is it that's stopping/preventing you? Also, I urge you to turn to God with *your* prayers. He listens when you tell Him with all sincerity what is in your heart. It is a much better way than asking strangers to do something you should be doing yourself.
"“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly." Matthew 6:5-6
"Pray for me" is what the Pharisees would do.
Again, the Bible mentions in I Thessalonians 5:25, II Thessalonians 3:1 and Hebrews 13:18 "pray for us". Pray for us, not pray for me. We should always pray for others more than for ourselves. That's how the apostles always thought- as a church, as a group, a collective. There was no individualism of the 21st century back then. The community's welfare was more important than an individual's welfare. Hence, the Lord's prayer says "give US this day our daily bread, forgive US our trespasses, lead US not into temptation, deliver US from evil"...and not "give me".
Praying for others is something that Christ does want us to do-but in the proper context. Before you come to the LORD and ask for something for yourself, think of others and their needs. After all, the LORD knows what you need even before you ask for it. Put others before you- pray for somebody you know. And if you are asking for His help for yourself, do it in privacy of your room where nobody else can hear you.

If the same conversation happened with a non believer, he would have said they are saved. It's also becoming apparent to me that most protestants are not reading the bible either. They claim they go by what the bible says, but more often they are just repeating what others tell them this or that verse means.

Give up "MEN'S TRADITIONS!" Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life." The Bible says that the way of salvation is this: repent of your sins and be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Trust in JESUS ALONE through FAITH ALONE...Sola scriptura ALONE. There is NOTHING in the Bible about praying to Mary or the saints, no PURGATORY, no "transubstantiation"(crucifying Christ over and over at the Mass). Catholicism is one of the worst places to lead a person seeking after salvation and Christ. There are no venial and mortal sins. ALL SIN is wrong in God's eyes...equally weighted. It's by FAITH we are saved...not by works..."lest any man boast"(says Paul). Peter and Paul were NOT POPES. We pray and confess DIRECTLY to God in the Name of Jesus Christ. We need no earthly priests, popes or mediators. I hope that this girl gets OUT of Catholicism and finds the TRUE way of Salvation in Christ. As an adult I saw so many flaws and non-biblical beliefs in the church that it forced me to leave. It's like the church carried my relationship with God so I didn't have to carry any burdens nor be accountable for my sins. As a born again Christian I go directly to Jesus (not Mary, not saints, not priests) and He enables me to repent and grow in the Spirit. I have to say, being a catholic was easy, you get to sin all week because on Sunday I get to confess anyways (if i practiced it). What a joke the catholic church has made of the gospel. Shameful. My own siblings have turned against me because I'm now a Protestant and that's a crime in the eyes of Catholics. But I know exactly why. They are indoctrinated. Men love their traditions more than to know Jesus personally. I got baptized as a baby but that's not biblical, so i got baptized again at 27 when I actually knew why I was doing it. Getting freed from the catholic church is more difficult than an atheist becoming Christian. After all, its easier to open the eyes of the blind than to open the eyes of those who claim to see.

Make an awesome Catholic? Why not an awesome born-again follower of Christ? Everything he spoke to her is pure Gospel, not Roman traditions and laws. I'm Latin American so I was indoctrinated into the Catholic church from birth. As an adult I saw so many flaws and non-biblical beliefs in the church that it forced me to leave. It's like the church carried my relationship with God so I didn't have to carry any burdens nor be accountable for my sins. As a new born again Christian I go directly to Jesus (not Mary, not saints, not priests) and He enables me to repent and grow in the Spirit.
