I was born into and raised a Catholic but when I became an adult who could reason for myself, I converted to Protestant Christianity because I had realized many Catholic teachings are either man-made or simply UNBIBLICAL! For example, the Catholic Church exalts Mary, Jesus' Earthly mother, to the level almost if not equal to God, which can lead to idolatry.

Hi Sydney! Our testimonies are so similar. I grew up Catholic, stopped going to church all together, lived in rebellion and sexual sin, ended up in a horrible toxic abusive relationship which only left me more angry and lost -- then I finally stopped running away from God and ran to God and gave my life to God, putting my faith and trust in Jesus Christ!! He has changed my life and given me a new heart and Spirit! Praise be to God. All glory goes to Him! May God bless you and keep you, stay strong in the faith my sister. 🥰❤

I was torn between joining catholic or Protestant but ultimately landed on Protestant. A relationship with Jesus is greater than man made tradition. I just didn’t agree with the notion that without the sacraments you can’t be saved. Also at the Catholic Churches I was attending no one really spoke to me vs the non denominational ones where there was more sense of community.

None of these praying to statues, rosary, going for a procession of our lady is even in the bible. I do not agree with some books in the apocrypha as it has been proven that some of the book are not accurately written. There is a principality in the kingdom of darkness i believe they call it Queen of the coast or Queen of heaven behind the statue of Mary that can grant mass miracles to keep you in spiritual bondage. This is proven in african witchcraft. As a believer of christ you should understand principalities, powers and rulers of the kingdom of darkness and how they operate.

Lerian V that wasnt my question, i know in the book of Acts they broke bread, but God doesnt demand within scripture how he wants to be worshipped. he even warns us against empty rituals: Hosea 6:6, isaiah 29:13, mark 7:7
the pharisees were known for being so attached to tradition, they focused less on the Lord almighty they couldnt even recognize Him when he walked among them. Jesus wants us to leave our hearts in His pierced hands so that we may truly only desire Him. and from there, worship wont be continuous rituals, it’ll be you praising the God who saved you; a great example is David in the book of psalms, every chapter is a chapter of praise to our God, and he could do it outside the synogogue, i pray for blessings to come your way, in Jesus name 🤍🙏🏻

    • @Lerian_V
      @Lerian_V Před 2 lety +4

@@sandrinayousif842 However the early church led by the apostles and subsequently their successors worshiped is how he wants to be worshiped. Part of the worship is following his instruction: “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” Apostle Paul says, "For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes." That's what the early church did, and that's what we who have followed the early Christians continue to do for almost 2000 years.
It is not an empty ritual; Christ would not perform an empty ritual and instruct his disciples to continue doing the same until he comes back. Empty rituals ended in the first century at the time of Christ.
Correct, the scribes and the Pharisees were attached to tradition while they had no inner conversion. That's why Jesus blasted them as hypocrites and whitewashed tombs. Being a Christian means holding on to the traditions which the apostles maintained and passed on us through their successors like Timothy, Titus, etc. I wonder if you understand these following verses:
      1 Corinthians 11:2
Now I commend you for remembering me in everything and for maintaining the traditions, just as I passed them on to you.
      2 Thessalonians 2:15
Therefore, brothers, stand firm and cling to the traditions we taught you, whether by speech or by letter.

btw Catholics do support the fact that even those outside of the church that do not have access to the sacrmaent of Reconciliation can go to heaven. Jesus is merciful. The sacrament of confession is a place where we can receive God's grace and it can help us turn from sin by being given advice from a priest. It is Christ who forgives sins through the priest, the same Christ that forgives you when you are truly sorry after doing something sinful. Im sorry that you have been mislead and left the Church. Actually Confession to priests and purgatory are biblical doctrines.
      John 20:21-23 (CONFESSION)
"21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
The priest is an apostolic successor to the apostles of Christ, and assist their spiritual children in reconciliation for the remission of sins.

I thought the priest was washing my hair and when he "forgot the soap" as I thought, it seemed to me he didn't do a good job, in fact, didn't know how to do it right at all. But, as I learned later, I had been baptized in water and Spirit, just as Jesus commands. Just like he told Nicodemus when He instructed him on how we become born again. So, since the age of four the Spirit has dwelt within me and I have known His guidance and been aware of wonderful, loving His Presence many times. The "Born Again" emotional experience I often hear about sounds like the conversion event, the first time one recognizes that Christ is Lord and wants to give his or her life to Him. That is so important and beautiful! Taking it a little farther, St.Francis said to be converted daily, changing a little more toward Jesus, a little more in love with Him each day. *Jesus and apostles all appealed to Scriptures only as support for doctrines. They did that 150 times in nt alone. They did not appeal to traditions of Pharisees and Moses as doctrines. NT church of the Bible also appealed to “what God says” and “what God said” as support for doctrines at Jerusalem Council. Acts 15. Not traditions. Isn’t that good enough proof Christians should only take doctrines from Scriptures only?*
Mat 2:5 So they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
Mat 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE, BUT BY EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD.' "
Mat 4:6 and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER YOU,' and, IN THEIR HANDS THEY SHALL BEAR YOU UP, LEST YOU DASH YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.' "
Mat 4:7 Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'YOU SHALL NOT TEMPT THE LORD YOUR GOD.' "
Mat 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'YOU SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD YOUR GOD, AND HIM ONLY YOU SHALL SERVE.' "
Mat 11:10 For this is he of whom it is written: 'BEHOLD, I SEND MY MESSENGER BEFORE YOUR FACE, WHO WILL PREPARE YOUR WAY BEFORE YOU.'
Mat 21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER,' but you have made it a 'DEN OF THIEVES.'"
Mat 26:24 The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."
Mat 26:31 Then Jesus said to them, "All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night, for it is written: 'I WILL STRIKE THE SHEPHERD, AND THE SHEEP OF THE FLOCK WILL BE SCATTERED.'
Mat 27:37 And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.
*Even nt Church of the Bible (Apostles and elders) appealed to the Word of God for determination of doctrines in Acts 15. The council did not decide based on their own words; neither on traditions of Pharisees or Moses. They based their decisions on "WHAT GOD SAID". Yes they met at Jerusalem council Acts 15 to discuss. But they appeal to what God says. Using God's word to decide what to do!*
*Bible says decision was made by Apostles and elders. Not single leader Peter!! (let alone pope). Acts 15:6, 16:4.*
Act 15:6 Now the apostles and elders came together to consider this matter.
Act 16:4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered to them the decrees to keep, which were determined by the apostles and elders at Jerusalem.
*1. Peter appealed using what God told him:*
to him rgd his vision of the clean and unclean animals in Acts 10..
    That gentiles are accepted.
Act 10:13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
Act 10:14 But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean."
Act 10:15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."
Act 15:7 And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: "Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.
*2. James appealed using the Word of God:*
Act 15:13 And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me:
Act 15:14 Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name.
Act 15:15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written:
    Act 15:16 'AFTER THIS I WILL RETURN AND WILL REBUILD THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, WHICH HAS FALLEN DOWN; I WILL REBUILD ITS RUINS, AND I WILL SET IT UP;
Act 15:17 SO THAT THE REST OF MANKIND MAY SEEK THE LORD, EVEN ALL THE GENTILES WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME, SAYS THE LORD WHO DOES ALL THESE THINGS.'
Act 15:18 "Known to God from eternity are all His works.
Act 15:19 Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God,
*3. Apostles Barnabas and Paul appealed to the “works of GOD done on the Gentiles”.*
Act 15:12 Then all the multitude kept silent and listened to Barnabas and Paul declaring how many miracles and wonders God had worked through them among the Gentiles.

_“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone and the new has come!”_
    - 2 Corinthians 5:17
I used to be very aggressive, offensive, jealous of others, addicted to pornography as I hear the devil tempting me saying, “Don’t worry, God will forgive you anyways.” and had even tried committing suicide three times by overdosing myself with all the negative thoughts, feelings, and the devil’s voice in my head. Whenever I angered another person I’d hear the devil saying, “You’re nothing but trouble. Your family is better off without you.” But God kept sparing the three times I tried to take my own life because I now know that He has greater plans for me. I’ve seen psychologists and have taken antidepressants but my problems kept coming back. When I spoke to my pastor about my problems we prayed together, and I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I was then water baptized becoming a born again Christian. When my pastor dunked me into the water my old self drowned, dying in it. When he rose me up, I became a new creation. Within time, my personality completely changed, miraculously my addiction to pornography and feelings of anger were completely healed. Since then, I’ve no longer had any lustful desires despite any sexual images that lie in front of me and always remind myself to turn worries into prayers. I’m now growing spiritually as the Holy Spirit gave me the gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness faithfulness, and most importantly, self-control. If my prayers are not answered at the time I expect it to happen, I always remind myself to trust God’s timing as my life is in God’s hands (not mine) as He knows when the right time to answer my prayer is.
In this stage of Christian transformation, you leave your past behind with the things you used to do that don’t glorify Christ.
_“Jesus declared, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.’ ”_
    - John 3:3
The entrance to the kingdom of God requires repentance a spiritual rebirth. Jesus taught that God’s kingdom has already begun in the hearts of believers.
_“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are all being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord Jesus, who is the Spirit.”_
    - 2 Corinthians 3:18
The glory that imparts from believers is more excellent and lasts longer than the glory Moses experienced. The more we learn about and follow Christ, the more we become like Him. This stage is what makes us grow spiritually. Keep moving forward without looking back to your old life. Don’t live in your sins, don’t accept it as it’s not part of you. The Word of God is the number one food that will make your spirit grow and become mature.

All Catholics are Christians, not all Christians are Catholic. May God bless you and everyone reading. The issue with the teacher is the she never explained the acts of perfect contrition, you can pray to God outside of a confessional and be absolved within your own heart. I'd rebuke her for teaching what the catholic church does not. The priest is there to mediate, propose an act of penance , give counsel on how to live a better Christian life, not to forgive sin, that belongs to God.

I once was a Catholic as well before I gave my life to Jesus, so I completely relate to your testimony. What I do want to say though is at 11:43 I don't agree that telling people about their sin and the consequences of sin is from the Devil. Of course, I do agree that doing it with ill intent is not right, but doing it out of love for the other person is what matters. Explaining the full simple gospel is the key. One can't tell someone they are sinners and going to hell without explaining why and that Jesus satisfied the wrath we were supposed to face on the cross. If we just tell people that Jesus loves them and forgives them of their sin, they won't take sin as seriously as someone that knows the consequence of sin and the significance of His death and resurrection.

After dropping out due to no friends and poor grades never to return to school again. It was not until i started to connect to a Christian char room that I discovered what true Christians was. It was a big awakening. I did find a church but when I was betray when my friends left me when they coupled out and decided they did not want to hang out me anymore i backsliding for 15 years. I was bitter with God again.
I came back a cryed out when my sister nearly died. I found the perfect church the first time and been going for over 4 years.
Last year. I started to feel distant from God again and I was thin and I was thinking of leaving my church even though I had many close friends who cared for me. It was not until two weeks ago that an Tiktok live influencer random streamer testimony really got to me. So I cried out to God and got then got closer to him. I shared my testimony to all of my church groups. I also thanked the Tiktok influencer for her testimony renewal my faith and she thanked me.
I am also proud of your video too. I hope it helps others too. Praise God.

Actually Catholic culture began with Jewish culture.
You cannot understand Catholicism if you don't know Judaism.
The principal act of Catholic worship is the Mass which is a reflection of the Jewish seder.
All other cultural aspects from gentile sources must be approved by the Church much like the biblical precept that says test everything and keep what is good.
And no, Catholics don't worship statues. You need to understand what worship means.
Catholic worship is the Mass which is offered only to God.
Search CZcams for Jim Malloy's lecture on the myths of Catholic paganism. Other good sources are Tim Staples and Dr. David Anders.

Best decision you’ll ever make and it’s less about the title of Christian or following a certain religion and it’s all about the relationship you’ll have with God where you realize you can come to Him as you are. No middle man. No priest to confess your sins to. No saints to pray to. No Mary to pray to. No rituals you must do or you go to hell. You can go straight to the Creator of the Universe and have a relationship with Him. ❤️ Let me know if you need any guidance. It was tough shedding what was engrained in me from Catholicism.

It's way easier to be a protestant than to be a Catholic with no priest to confess, no saints to pray to, no rituals, as you say.
And yet many protestant pastors have become Catholic even though it means giving up their financial security as pastors, leaving their congregation, being snubbed by some of their (protestant) friends.
Have you ever wondered why they do this? After all they know more about the bible than most of us, right? So why they become a Catholic? Think for a moment.
The answer is because they found the true Church.
The Church that Jesus established. So for the sake of truth and to be with holy mother Church, they give up their protestant church...even if it involves a lot of sacrifice (loss of pastoring job, financial security, etc). Bless you and hope one day you will return to the Bride (the Church) that Jesus the Bridegroom loves and die for. Yes, the Bridegroom never leaves His Bride (the Church). He promised to be with her till the end of the age). For Jesus told His apostles (the founders of the Church)
_"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. _*_And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age._*_ (Matthew 28:19-20) .”_
Yes, Jesus never leaves His Bride (Church). So follow His example. Stay with her, I pray you will return to her one day. Amen.

There are so many misconceptions about the Catholic faith. I was a Catholic who didn’t know my faith and didn’t fully practice it. I went to a non denominational church for many years. I experienced what it’s like to have a relationship with the Lord (I still called myself Catholic).
By the grace of God, and in prayer, He led me back to His Church. My spirit was yearning for more as I was listening to Catholic Bible studies in a community (what Evangelicals would call “small groups”). I felt the Holy Spirit feeding my soul more and more and found myself in tears of joy at times when reading the Bible as it was as if I was infused with automatic knowledge and saw the Church’s sacraments clearly in the Bible. I wondered at times, why the Lord didn’t show me this before, but His timing is perfect. He doesn’t impose Himself on our will and meets us where we are at. If I can give you a visual picture (doesn’t give it justice really but for the sake of giving one), my early walk was like having a yummy slice of cake, and later, seeing where that slice came from, a whole cake with the original “ingredients”, the fullness of truth, the Church that Christ founded, the Catholic Church.
The sacraments are such a gift that many take for granted and some don’t understand it. Want to know what happens at mass in the spiritual realm? Check out this 5 minute film that depicts what happens in the spiritual realm called “The Veil Removed” (channel has the same name). ❤️
If you find yourself disconnected from God, ask The Holy Spirit to ignite His flame in you, talk to Him that you want a relationship with Him. His word says “if you seek me, you will find me, if you seek me with all your heart.”
His body and blood, His REAL presence in the Eucharist.... priceless.❤️😍🙏🏻
I could go on and on but check out Keith Nester’s channel (his testimony. He was an evangelical pastor now a fervent Catholic on fire for God).
God bless you and guide you.😊🙏🏻

There is still hope for you.
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (Romans 3:10)
You may think and say "I'm a very good person" or "I always try to do good". All without Christ are equally wicked in the sight of the LORD. You could try to work your way to Heaven by doing good works, but if you have committed 1 sin, you are guilty of breaking the whole law (James 2:10).
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
All people have sinned against a holy and righteous God. Let me ask you this: do you admit that you have done wrong and committed sin? Whenever we sin against God, we are guilty of that sin(s).
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
There are consequences to our actions. Every choice we make has a consequence whether it be good or bad. If a person dies without accepting Christ as his or her Savior, especially Roman Catholics, that same person will wake up in Hell awaiting the Great White Thrown Judgment. All the unsaved will be thrown into the lake of fire after the Great White Throne Judgment.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
The Lake of fire is a scary place. The good news is that there is a way to escape the lake of fire right now today.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:5-6)
Jesus Christ was born of a virgin. He was beaten for you. He paid the price of your sins on the cross at Calvary with his precious blood. His blood was shed for you, so that you have a chance to get saved from the lake of fire.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3:16-17)
God cares about us. He loved us so much that he was willing to send Jesus Christ to die for us so that we don't have to spend eternity in the lake of fire.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10)
Jesus Christ died on the cross and was buried and on the 3rd day, he rose again from the dead. We all have a chance for salvation. God give us many chances to get saved. Even though God is a righteous judge, he still loves us.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
If you want to get saved, all you have to do is to Admit that you are a sinner, Believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and what he did for you, & Call upon his name with a humble, repentant, willing, and contrite heart sincerely, and he will save you from the lake of fire.
Get saved today, because you might not have another tomorrow. Go to Jesus for he is merciful.
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. (Revelation 21:4-5)

I was in the Mormon Church for 50 years..I grew up there and I raised my family there but in my early 30's I begun to question in my heart things like confesion of sins to a man and several other things in the church that are part of their doctrine. I stopped attending church 5 years ago, but I did have faith in God and Jesus and I prayed quite often but I though God is done with me, I was not attending any church, serving God like I used when I was part of the church... and because the God I knew for 50 years was such a conditional God, (I never felt I measured up to hour Father, I felt he was always disappointed with me) I thought the Lord was done with me. Around the beginning of 2023, I had a son addicted to heroin.. and I began to feel I needed to quit working and quit the sport I played and stay home... I did not know where this idea was coming from but I decided to follow this prompting. To make the story short, around May 2023 I became a Born Again... My relationship with our Father and His son became the most important thing in my life... I learned they love me unconditionally and their mercy and forgiveness was there for me as soon as I repented. I began to wake up at 2 am and prayed and worshipped and my prayers were all about bringing my son back to Him so he would quit and be healthy and a believer again, (when he left the Mormon church he was done with God). Around September 2023 I begun to testify to him that our God was not the conditional God we knew, but the most loving Father... a forgiving father and that He was waiting for him to go back to Him. The last time a witnessed to Todd was October 24, 2023 and on October 27th I found my son in his bedroom on his knees and dead. The Lord later told me that when Todd hit rock bottom, he found Him and surrendered his life to Him. Later on, I found Todd's journal, and there he had done some drawing of a man sitting on the ground with a very sad face and these words: "When will this pain stop, what is my rock bottom". During 2023 the Lord guided me back to Him and gave me the honor to guide my son back to Him.

I enjoyed your video simply because you were being honest in regards to your own experiences of Catholicism, yet I am so sad to think that those were your experiences of the Catholic faith. Unfortunately there are many Catholics out there who do not know their faith at all and drive others into despair and shame. I just want to clarify a few things, in regards to confession, what your teacher said is in direct conflict with Catholic teaching. The Church never has, to this day, proclaimed who is in hell. So your teacher saying that you'd go to hell if you had sinned badly and hadn't received confession is completely incompatible with Catholic teaching. In essence the Catholic teaching reflects 1 Cor 4:5 "Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart". It is God who will in the end be the Just Judge as He will see the intentions of the heart. However, we must strive to follow Christ as we see in Jn 14:15 "If you love me you will keep my commandments". Also, the concept of Confession is based in Scripture in Jn 20:19-23. You may disagree, but I just want to point out no Catholic believes a priest forgives you in and of his own self, no mere man can forgive us of sin, only Christ can. What Catholics believe is that Christ gave the Apostles the power to forgive sins by 'means' of the Holy Spirit, and this is still a gift handed onto the Church through Apostolic succession within the priesthood (Jn20:19-23)... Also worth studying is Mt 16:16-18, this part of Scripture really underlies the whole of Catholicism in terms of it's authority. I would add that it does not need to be either a religion or a relationship, for me it's both, my relationship with Christ is further strengthened by my religion as I am able to grow in deeper understanding of God and His love for us as the Holy Spirit guides the Church, the Body of Christ, we see this "guiding" in Jn16:13, and also a similar statement is made in Jn14:26 in regards to being taught all things. Anyway, if you read all of that I thank you, I will pray for you and I hope you continue to grow closer to Christ. I'd highly recommend taking a look at Scott Hahn and Catholic Answers for any questions you may have regarding the actual teachings of the Catholic faith. God bless!

As a Catholic myself I think it is important for praise, keeping a good relationship and talking to God. But also keeping a balance of worshipping and prayer in religion. As you said, having both helps strengthen each other.
I think a big player here though is the offer of sacrifice (like going to church, praying the rosary, etc)
While I do love seeing these testimonies and the joy they bring, I just pray that everyone can also learn the joys of suffering for our Lord as it really reveals his love and care for each and everyone of us.

I went to Catholic schools and then in high school transferred to a Christian school which is where I started to encounter a relationship with God more personally. I had never felt the Holy Spirit until I went on a high school prayer and solitude retreat. But also, the school and the community (there was also a Christian church) was so welcoming to me. They loved me and I loved them. I’m not saying it was a perfect school but we all just tried to love each other as much as we could. It was only 5 years later when I gave my life to Christ this year, in a similar way to you. 🌻💛 Also went through very toxic relationships during uni, God took me out those. Bless you sister, for sharing your story. More than anything we need to pray for people’s salvation (Catholics and Christian, atheists, Muslim, Buddhist etc). If I weren't Catholic, I'd look for the Church that the world despises, for the world despised Jesus, and he would be there. - Fulton Sheen
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.". Things seemed to be going pretty well. That is until Jesus said “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” This was too much for many of his disciples and “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” Jesus turns to the 12 and asks, “Will ye also go away? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" it offends protestants
Jn 20:21, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you."
Jn 17:18, "Even as thou hast sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world."
Jn 17:22-23, "And the glory that thou hast given Me, I have given to
Matt. 28, 18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Jesus says to the crowd, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." But in reference to the same people, Jesus immediately follows with "He who does not believe will be condemned." This demonstrates that one can be baptized and still not be a believer. This disproves the Protestant argument that one must be a believer to be baptized. There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism."
"Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer.
It’s important to be saved from hell, damnation, and the stain of original sin, but what are we saved for? We are saved for union with Christ. Our salvation began when we were born again through baptism and God’s own Divine Life was restored in our souls, making us like Adam and Eve were in the Garden before the Original (first) Sin. As we go through life, we are united with Christ through the Sacraments he left as gifts for us, especially through Penance (forgiveness of our sins committed since Baptism) and the Eucharist (partaking of God’s own Life, His own Divine Nature, 2 Peter 1:4) - until that day when we are truly united with Him in heaven.
Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31-46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell. (For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17)
What I must do to be saved:
*I must be baptized with water and the Spirit. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21. (Exceptions: [1] If I desire Baptism but die before I can be baptized with water and the Spirit, God accepts my desire to be baptized, and [2] If I am killed (martyred) because of my faith, but I have not had the opportunity to be baptized, God accepts my death as my baptism, called the Baptism of Blood).
    * I must do the will of God the Father. Matthew 7:21
    * I must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:17, 1 Timothy 6:14, and others.
    * I must accept the Cross (suffering). Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24-25, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27. Phil 1:29, and others.
    * I must be a member of God's true church. Acts 2:46-47.
    * I must confess my sins. James 5:16, I John 1:9, John 20:19-23
    * I must heed the words of St. Peter, the first Pope. Acts 11:13-14, Acts 15:7.
    * I must eat the flesh and drink the blood of Jesus Christ. John 6:51-58, I Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:23-30.
    * I must do unto others as I would have them do unto me and love my neighbor as myself. I must feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, visit the sick and those in prison or give other aid to those in need. Luke 10:33 ff, Mt 25:31-46. "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are very pleasing to God" Hebrews 13:16. Good works don’t save us, but we will be judged by them.
*I must strive to be holy. "Strive for peace with everyone and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord." Hebrews 12:14
*I must endure (persevere) to the end. Matthew 10:22, Matthew 24:13, Mark 13:13.
And ... ? What else must I do?
#432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Your church is glorified all over the world, puts a man at the top (the Pope), sins through idolatry of Mary and other 'saints', believes in purgatory which is not even biblical, tells the church to take the vaccine, and soon enough will be giving out the mark of the beast... Read your bible and ask God for guidance and stop listening to the world.

Jesus Christ hates Roman Catholicism. He calls her the Great Whore fo Babylon.

Sounds like the democrats who make threats. Threats like that is called abuse. It’s narcissistic manipulation. Imagine if your S/O bf / gf said that to you. Church of Christ denomination also thinks baptists /Methodist etc are going to hell bc they aren’t *their faith*. Church of Christ is abusive and says that if you wear makeup or hair down for women they’re in sin. That’s ALSO legalism and abuse. Vs Jesus says follow Him and you’ll have eternal life. If you don’t then = Hell. It’s absurd to think He is up there with a piece of paper and would say “I know you LOVE ME , but bc you didn’t join _____ name of this church / group to Hell you go!”
Here’s what He WILL SAY either :
“Depart from me for I never KNEW you.”
      Or
“Well done MY good and faithful servant.”

Down at the cross my heart is bending low
    The precious blood of Jesus

    CHORUS
I love Him, I love Him,

    And purchased my salvation
    on Calvary’s tree
    Once I was lost,
and ‘way down deep in sin,
    Once was a slave
    to passions fierce within
Once was afraid to trust a loving God
But now I’m cleansed from every stain
    through Jesus’ blood
Once I was bound, but now I am set free,
Once I was blind, but now the light I see
Once I was dead, but now in Christ I live,

    that He doth give

The theology teacher referred to in this video was wrong. Only mortal sins, not venial sins, require the Sacrament of Reconciliation. This is because the Sacrifice of the Mass, which was instituted by Christ, remits all venial sins. Mortal sins however, require further repentance and graces to receive forgiveness, which is why Confession is necessary for the salvation of those who are in the state of mortal sin. Those who are in the state of venial sin will not be sent to Hell if they die without having received the Sacrament, as their souls are in the state of grace, not the state of mortal sin.

I certainly prefer Christ and Peter His apostle over heretics such as Luther and his friends. The 2,000 year old Catholic Church instead of the 500 year old (the oldest) protestant 'churches'. I suppose those who abandon the Catholic Church didn't really got to know it enough to get to appreciate the 'Precious Pearl' of Christ in it, or their faith was weak and childish enough to be unable to overcome the scandals, which since the primitive apostolic church happened too.

Emperor Constantine created it to continue the tradition of the Roman Emperor (today known as the Pope), and Roman pagan practices slithered in afterwards (praying to the dead, asking forgiveness of men, Purgatory).
