Thank you V V for telling Ruby’s story. Vegas was such a man’s town, when women were in the background doing all the work. Glad that things are better & strong unions protect minorities and women. I notice they would like to turn Vegas into Texas politically. It would NEVER work. Awesome video!
I've heard the FedEx story before but the Ruby story was amazing and soooo informative. You have a great channel and I hope it thrives. I'm going to tell ppl about it ❤
Ruby was an amazing lady. I love The Peppermill. I had heard the story about FedEx. Wow, that strike in 76 was something. Love all the photos and footage throughout the video. Very interesting interaction with Harry Reid and Rosenthal. Great video.
Thank you Walt. The 1970's was the time when Vegas changed from the classic years of the 1950's & 1960's to the modern times, preparing the way for the beginning of the themed resorts.
I’ve watched 1990’s 1980’s 1960’s and now 1970’s please do one on late 90’s-2010 but please show the development of newer themed hotels great videos!!!
I will likely do a video just on the themed era of the 1990's that was started by Steve Wynn building The Mirage in 1989. I also want to do a video on the history of The Mirage, Circus Circus and Caesars Palace. I'm not that interested in Vegas history from this century because it is so corporate and only 24 years old or less. It is difficult to determine the historical significance of a building, person or era just a couple decades old.
Thanks for the video. I visited The Strip in the 70s as a child, but I don't remember much more than Aladdin Hotel, the Hobo at Boardwalk Casino's restaurant & going to the top of Landmark Casino.
Oooh, I really don't like saying this, but it seems like history is repeating. Great job highlighting important events in the 70s for vegas. I just think it's weird how so many of the same events are happening 50 plus years later. Great video, my friend❤🤗💜 you know i loved Rosenthal Tenacity. Reid was lying, lol 😆
Great video! I noticed something interesting in the picture of the gas stations at 18:13. There’s a fallout shelter sign on the street light post. It would be interesting to know more about where the shelters were and what they looked like inside. Was it for the testing being done in Nevada? Or was it for if Russia nuked Nevada?
I noticed that too, I assume it was for an attack by the USSR. I haven't seen any information on the signage but will continue to look for any information.
Your work is always the best. Thank you for another great history lesson. Hope you are great Kev🤗👍
Thank you Cali, doing good, hope you are doing great.

Reid said that he didn't meet with Rosenthal and a moment later Reid said he only met with Rosenthal that one time.

Hello there
Happy Holidays
May your holiday be full of merry Martin.
13:34 Harry is Full of💩
Harry was not being honest, he was dirty Harry.
@@VegasVisual 🤣😂
corrupt harry reid
Glad they named the airport after him 👍👍
Harry had too much baggage but luckily for him it was too far in the past to be a problem.
Did I just witness the mob and a corrupt politician (Harry Reid) right on camera admitting wrong doings 😮
