I want an everyday bag that I can also use when I travel and put under the seat in front of me on an airplane. Do you think I’m making the right choice? Thank you for any thoughts.
I do adore DE love! & yes, so nice to expand the collection with mono/vachetta 😍 I think it's so wise to rotate the bags frequently! I do the same and I know that helps with a much slower "patina process" ❤ I appreciate your sweet words honey.. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch 😘
I was debating for MONTHS between the Damier Ebene and monogram and the main reason was because of the vachetta leather. I would hate myself if i ever damaged my vachetta, so i bothered my husband until he got tired of hearing me ask and chose the Damier Ebene. I still wasn’t happy, so that told me exactly what i wanted. I did buy the monogram, and i did sprayed the vachetta with apple guard, and it came out beautiful. I understand it is not recommended to spray anything on a bag, but i do have faith using apple guard since I’ve sprayed my other vachetta with it and it works beautifully. I agree on the Damier Ebene being elegant and easy to care for, but it is something about the monogram i am so weak about. I also own the speedy 30 on the D. Ebene and it is gorgeously elegant. I do understand what you mean hun... when I got my first speedyb..I chose DE & truly loved (love) it!! ... but I couldn't stop thinking about the mono 🙈 I like that LV making many more bags with the "pre aged leather"..I do wish they'd give us the option between that leather and "classic vachetta"... my hubby sometimes gets tired of hearing about my obsession with LV 🙈 but he loves that it makes me happy 😊 Maybe I'll try the Appleguard eventually! I just got the monogram alma bb too. I wanted it for 2 years and it’s been my dream LV bag. I thought about getting the DE cuz of it being carefree and I love the red interior. I’m still thinking about getting the DE. But it’s just something about the monogram and Vachetta combo that I just love so much. I’m one of the few people how ever that likes LV with the lighter colored Vachetta. And if there’s a way to get it treated to keep it light I will get it done. Why is apple guard not recommended? Again I like the light crisp Vachetta color so do you recommend it for me to use? I’ve only had mine for a week so I’m trying to keep mine as clean and spot free as possible :)
Leslie, how many times did you have to spray the vachetta leather with apple guard? Just once in the beginning and that's it or do you give it an occasional spray time to time? I have read about apple guard on purse forum as well, but never dared.:) Thank you
Great question! Happy Sunday, darling! I love monogram, but I cannot handle dark leather. I think it looks terrible! I know they offer one or two bags in monogram with a pre-treated leather that does not darken. I wish they would give consumers the option! Especially paying such large amounts of money, you know? A honey patina is beautiful, but I’ve seen incredibly dark & uneven leather. It’s nice for something to look new for a long time!
Oh..I agree love! I have a few bags with the "pre aged vachetta" and it's so much better! It doesn't darken like regular vachetta and is much more resilient to watermarks...I have noticed LV releasing more bags with this leather.. it is my hope that they will give us the option..I completely agree with everything you said..I remember being in Hawaii and seeing a lady with a bag that was so dark that it looked almost black 😳 i remember thinking: If that were my bag, I'd get the leather replaced 🙈 I can tell we think a lot alike love.. I'm considering the LV desk agenda and have several pieces in the monogram pattern. The Damier Ebene print is more understated and probably what more guys would go for but something draws me to the monogram print. My first piece was a wallet over 30 years ago which I still use to this day and I like having all my pieces in the same print although I'm sure there are those who mix patterns as well. To me the monogram clearly says Louis Vuitton compared to the Damier.

May I ask which wallet was your first purchase? I got into LV in 2017..I believe the quality was much better before 2010..I would love to add a vintage piece to my collection.. @@lvluxdelight I'm not sure if the wallet had a name. (We're talking the late 80's.) It was a man's square wallet for bills, cards, and a little window slot for driver's license. I do agree quality has gone down. When researching for a vintage poche document portfolio I found that after 1997 they were leaving the cut edge exposed on the side which could expand and in photos it looked like the edge was curling a bit. I finally found one from 1997 where they folded the edge under itself giving a clean look. ... I'm expecting my new monogram desk agenda to be delivered tomorrow!
Damier Ebene!!!! The coated leather and the red interior I just love so much. I do like the monogram but only the reserve style with the black leather.

Depends on the situation, my first bag is DE, second is Monogram, now DA is coming in the mail soon. Epi pink is on my wishlist next year. I have to curate more unused bags before adding new members. I don't like my closet is full. Also I love your topic of God, need lights and work towards it.
All my lv vags are in Damier Ebene. I do like monogram though, but I think it is so hard to maintain it especially if you don't "baby" your bag just like me😍

Initially, I hesitated but eventually gathered materials to share the gospel with him. I'm at the point of giving up because he was the one who requested this but has a lot of excuses that is really annoying. I really wanted to tell him I don't want to sin against my God by getting angry and just turn my back on his salvation. Your spiritual advise was the answer. That my faith is more than any obstractions the world can throw at you. As a mom I can’t baby a bag much so Damier Ebene it is! Although I recently purchased the graceful mm in Monogram and would love to know how can I keep the vachetta light for as long as possible? What are your tips and tricks?
I do adore the Damier Ebene!! I think it's such a gorgeous and carefree LV Canvas 🤩 The Graceful in mono is beautiful! I do have quite a few bags with vachetta...I actually leave them out on display (I have them in glass shelves). I've done that for over 2 years. I have learned that the SUN will darken the leather pretty quick!! Also, humidity! So, I wouldn't let any vachetta where there is steam when taking a shower..I haven't used anything like "Appleguard" on my bags.. they have stayed pretty light!! I think that's because I truly try to keep them out of direct sunlight as much as possible. If you have to be in the sun, I would try to rotate on a weekly basis..I hope that helps a bit love and I do think you'd ADORE the DE (but I still love mono).. Enjoy your Graceful! 🤩🤩❤❤❤❤

I will say as much as I love the monogram I wouldn’t purchase the alma in the mono, there is too much vacheta leather at the bottom and that would make me nervous and prevent from truly enjoying the bag. My ques is I want DE speedy how to I protect it from black color on corner wear and how what canvas has less chance cracking long term ? Sorry I worry I see DE with the corners more and red coming though or cracking near zippers? So I know we can replace leather down the road but what canvas will last longer
Hi love! Hmmm..I really haven't experienced any corner wear with the DE.. I've had the keepall for about 2 1/2 years 🤞🤞 I really feel both canvases are equally durable, but it's the leather that makes a difference.. with the DE, I have a friend that has had her Neverfull GM for 10 years and it still looks brand new..def bc of the "treated leather"...I feel that monogram bags that have vachetta might need to have the vachetta replaced down the road (depending on how much the piece is used).. it is nice that it can be done though! I think we hear horror stories about bags... things do happen, but for the most part: as long as you're taking good care of your bag, it should last many decades! I hope that helps a bit hun 😘😘😘

I would choose the DE Alma over the Monogram, only because it has so much vachetta. But I would choose the Monogram Speedy B since it has less vachetta, but I probably wouldn’t travel with it. For travel, I would go for the DE Speedy B. Can’t wait to travel again 😎😭

I love the idea of a speedyb as your first lux bag 🤩 i would truly think about the sizing bc you def want to be 100% comfortable with your choice... it can be so hard to choose the right size (I think I'll do an upcoming vid on that). I love the speedyb 35! & yes: so perfect to put under the seat while flying! It doesn't darken like regular vachetta and is much more resilient to watermarks...I have noticed LV releasing more bags with this leather.. it is my hope that they will give us the option..I completely agree with everything you said..I remember being in Hawaii and seeing a lady with a bag that was so dark that it looked almost black 😳 i remember thinking: If that were my bag, I'd get the leather replaced 🙈 I can tell we think a lot alike love.. I'm considering the LV desk agenda and have several pieces in the monogram pattern. The Damier Ebene print is more understated and probably what more guys would go for but something draws me to the monogram print. My first piece was a wallet over 30 years ago which I still use to this day and I like having all my pieces in the same print although I'm sure there are those who mix patterns as well. To me the monogram clearly says Louis Vuitton compared to the Damier.

May I ask which wallet was your first purchase? I got into LV in 2017..I believe the quality was much better before 2010..I would love to add a vintage piece to my collection.. @@lvluxdelight I'm not sure if the wallet had a name. (We're talking the late 80's.) It was a man's square wallet for bills, cards, and a little window slot for driver's license. I do agree quality has gone down. When researching for a vintage poche document portfolio I found that after 1997 they were leaving the cut edge exposed on the side which could expand and in photos it looked like the edge was curling a bit. I finally found one from 1997 where they folded the edge under itself giving a clean look.

Depends on the situation, my first bag is DE, second is Monogram, now DA is coming in the mail soon. Epi pink is on my wishlist next year. I have to curate more unused bags before adding new members. I don't like my closet is full.

Initially, I hesitated but eventually gathered materials to share the gospel with him. As a mom I can’t baby a bag much so Damier Ebene it is! Although I recently purchased the graceful mm in Monogram and would love to know how can I keep the vachetta light for as long as possible? What are your tips and tricks?
I do adore the Damier Ebene!! I think it's such a gorgeous and carefree LV Canvas 🤩 The Graceful in mono is beautiful! I do have quite a few bags with vachetta...I actually leave them out on display (I have them in glass shelves). I've done that for over 2 years. I have learned that the SUN will darken the leather pretty quick!! Also, humidity! So, I wouldn't let any vachetta where there is steam when taking a shower..I haven't used anything like "Appleguard" on my bags.. they have stayed pretty light!! I think that's because I truly try to keep them out of direct sunlight as much as possible. If you have to be in the sun, I would try to rotate on a weekly basis..I hope that helps a bit love and I do think you'd ADORE the DE (but I still love mono).. Enjoy your Graceful! 🤩🤩❤❤❤❤

Finally got to sit down and watch your lovely video 🤎 you have such a wonderful way of describing and reviewing this beautiful pieces Megan , so easy to watch you 💕 I will have to say I still haven’t warmed up to the Damier ebene, maybe because it’s always sunny and bright in Dubai I find the color heavy , I’m not sure what it is, I love the monogram so much , starting to slowly warm up to the azur print so I might venture on a speedy in azur to try the print .. I will say as much as I love the monogram I wouldn’t purchase the alma in the mono, there is too much vacheta leather at the bottom and that would make me nervous and prevent from truly enjoying the bag. My ques is I want DE speedy how to I protect it from black color on corner wear and how what canvas has less chance cracking long term ?
Sorry I worry I see DE with the corners more and red coming though or cracking near zippers? So I know we can replace leather down the road but what canvas will last longer
Hi love! Hmmm..I really haven't experienced any corner wear with the DE.. I've had the keepall for about 2 1/2 years 🤞🤞 I really feel both canvases are equally durable, but it's the leather that makes a difference.. with the DE, I have a friend that has had her Neverfull GM for 10 years and it still looks brand new..def bc of the "treated leather"...I feel that monogram bags that have vachetta might need to have the vachetta replaced down the road (depending on how much the piece is used).. it is nice that it can be done though! I think we hear horror stories about bags... things do happen, but for the most part: as long as you're taking good care of your bag, it should last many decades! I hope that helps a bit hun 😘😘😘

I would choose the DE Alma over the Monogram, only because it has so much vachetta. But I would choose the Monogram Speedy B since it has less vachetta, but I probably wouldn’t travel with it. For travel, I would go for the DE Speedy B. Can’t wait to travel again 😎😭

I’m thinking of buying my first luxury bag....after watching a ton of CZcams videos, I’m gonna buy a LV Speedy B 35 DE. I want an everyday bag that I can also use when I travel and put under the seat in front of me on an airplane.

I love the idea of a speedyb as your first lux bag 🤩 i would truly think about the sizing bc you def want to be 100% comfortable with your choice... it can be so hard to choose the right size (I think I'll do an upcoming vid on that). I love the speedyb 35! & yes: so perfect to put under the seat while flying!
