I'm glad y'all are getting the long awaited clout that you deserve. I must say that I gotta be that annoying leftist that points out that USSR wasn't true communism, they still had an oligarchy, owner/political elites, as well as authoritarian concentration of power. Also after the Russian Revolution there were so many capitalist-imperialist brutal forces fighting against them that it was very difficult to make the government work in a system that was isolated and had never been tried. Lets not forget the US had its own group of oppressed ppl, and they also committed war crimes. OK! Now that my rant is over, I truly respect the work you all did and it just goes to show the strength and ingenuity of the human spirit, and that art and craftsmanship can always prevail when there is collaboration and effort! Thanks to you both for this excellent tour!

Furch is poised to become a very important brand. Their ‘secret sauce’ voicing will help them stand out against most large manufacturers, who do 90% of the work properly, but don’t do the last 10% which makes all the difference to the first 90%. Hats off to them!

The best find I ever made, my two Blue grand auditoriums (a 6 and a 12 string), completely changed my fingerstyle playing and, after playing for 60 years, that's no small feat. On top of that, the innovation that Furch employs is mind blowing and NONE of them are gimmicks - every innovation provides unparalleled performance, playability and tone as well as exceptional build quality. All priced very reasonably for what you get.

As a transplanted North American in Europe I've been fortunate enough to see/hear/play an amazing collection of truly inovative guitars that Martin, Gibson, Taylor etc. just can't touch. They keep making the same stuff with some small changes. Furch is an example of a builder that simply changes the entire game. Now you know. Welcome.

An amazing in-house tour and explanation of such remarkable guitars and guitar makers . Bravo !
I could not help but notice in a second or two that the first Furch ever made was not made to resemble a Gibson or a Martin or a Taylor et al . It was very clearly styled (from the almost identical and unique) headstock down
    on an … ‘ O v a t i o n ‘… with an almost identical ‘ Oak leaf ‘ rosette .
“ Of all the guitar brands in all the
world “… and Ovation was only 15 years old in 1981 when Peter Furch began his quest . Speaks volumes .

I recently bought a Furch Vintage 3 D-SR. It’s really an amazing guitar. Great warm tone and a nice finish. I have two Martins and never thought there were other great guitar builders. compared it with the Martin D-42 from my father…. The difference between the two in tone is minimal.

Oh wow, Kfir and Carlos were at Furch too?! Sweet! I love their music. It would be fun for you to go interview them in Israel sometime with some of their professional musician friends who play acoustics heavily (I recommend Mika Karni) - and of course, check out the guitar shop scene while you’re there!
Love what Furch is doing, and I appreciate that they brought you all the way to their factory so you would be able to show us their unique process. I’ve surely never seen anything like their factory (and those robots!). There’s definitely a place for technology in crafting guitars. I’d argue that it’s more precise than totally building by hand when the margin for error is likely next to nothing, which raises the bar on overall quality - and the guitars are obviously priced better as a result of integrating technology. Yet they also still have plenty of people to work in tandem with the robots where necessary.
I’d love to see Furch make a super affordable line too. I’d be very curious to see what they’d do to keep sound/build quality high and where they’d choose save money. I hope they’ll launch a line like that sometime!

Jeremy, I have been looking for this video for the last few weeks, and was excited to watch. As I've mentioned before, I think you and I were exposed to Furch around the same time. I was pointed to them at Elderly late last year, and then went home to see what CZcams content was out there. That's how I found your video of visiting their distribution center in Nashville. Since then, I've noted your various comments and asides in your other videos you made about Furch, the video on the Red MC, then settling in on the Yellow Deluxe CR (same as me). What a guitar!
So, I really enjoyed this factory tour, even though I've seen other factory tour videos. I am excited that you have made this great connection with the Furch folks, and hope you will become a solid source of Furch news and thinking.
Also, again, I am really appreciative of your drone footage. The fly-around the factory during the middle was cool. I especially enjoyed the long shot at the end, taking off near, and then over, the factory, out (dangerously) close to that church steeple, and then showing the village and the land outside. Great shot. Serious, Furch should buy that and include it in their media package!

I love your content ! I bought my very first "real" instrument, a Martin HD28, this year because of you (and the Grandpa and grandson video you put up! Those two videos are a core shaker!). But I have been listening to Justin Johnson, play the Furch for sometime now... Martins are awesome and I love them.. It has been the ultimate goal in my guitar holy grail list forever! But, there is a tone in the Furch that is just...something that is deeper in my soul!! Going from a fender DG20s (that I have owned and played for 20 years.. Yeah, laugh if you will.) to a MartinHD28 was an ocean! But the Furch tone, is also calling my name... I was thinking Guild D55 or PRS... But I think the Furch may just find its way into my 2 acoustic guitar collection.... There will only be one more Acoustic guitar purchase in my lifetime.. So the Martin and Furch... Just maybe the ultimate duo for my bucket list of guitars! I can't think of a better pairing for what moves me anyway!

Interesting video, and I have to agree that the most gorgeous guitar tones I've ever heard came out of a Stonebridge/Furch guitar. Just gorgeous instruments.

CraftMANship and robotics are antithetical, because there is no man involved just software and hardware. Many large manufacturers are using robotics to some degree but these guys are trying to replace almost all of the humans with their robotics. I worked 30years as an Electronics Engineer so I have respect for what they are doing but every piece of wood is different so you will still end up with good and better guitars. The most important thing in the guitar build is to get the right thickness of the top and correct amount of bracing but, they tend to sound best at the point where they start to lose strength from the removal of bracing. Very cool but I still like hand-built guitars.

I know it’s supposed to be more precise but all the automation makes me kinda sad, for me it takes away the art and craftsmanship of it. I know they’re great guitars but they definitely charge handmade prices for something that has so many processes that aren’t done by paid worker’s.

@@JeremySheppard Grain run-out is a common term in woodworking, braces are usually split on the grain not sawn through the grain so the same grain line runs from end to end not running out somewhere before the ends.
