I have purchased 3 guitars from the Acoustic Shoppe. I usually make it by there about once per week. I love that place. Great folks!
If I worked in a shop like that I’m fairly certain I would just be signing my check over each week. So many cool guitars, great video!
😂 I've been there
@@JeremySheppard these spam comments are insane I can't believe they put one on a comment that you replied on. I just reported like ten comments and the page. No good scammers
I live near Springfield and love the Acoustic Shoppe! I'm super blessed to be so close to a great guitar store! The whole staff are wonderful and they always have world class instruments in the store!
What a great episode! What a great guitar shop! Love the Chapmans and I have all of their CDs. Thanks Jeremy!
Thanks Jeremy for a superb vlog and for shining the spotlight on the Acoustic Shoppe. Definitely a shop to stop and smell the guitar smells!
Love their shop! I live in the area, so I stop by fairly often.
Thanks for the video Jeremy, I have a house about 45 minutes away from there at the lake of the ozarks, now I'm going to have to go to Springfield
I'm blown away! My son lives in Springfield Missouri and we've been there more times than I can count, but I've never heard of the Acoustic Shoppe!! I had no idea!! We're heading back there again in a few days and I will definitely be going to this awesome store! Thanks Jeremy!
This video was awesome! Felt like I got to go on a guitar safari with you. Subscribed!
I played almost every guitar they had including most other shops in Springfield. I ended up walking out with an Eastman e10ss. Better than anything else I played that day.
The cedar acoustic room and the story of how they built it was a highlight! I am inspired!💪
Great video, I’m a big fan of this shop.
Wow...what a juicy treat. Props to you actually getting off your butt to check it out in person. I'd love to go but I'm gonna need some dough so I can buy something 😊
Awe man, pinch me I'm dreaming !
I just really enjoyed your tour. I took in every second of it !
Much Thanks, Jeremy 😊
Hi Jeremy, I love all of your videos! So much fun to watch! I just found The Acoustic Shop on YT a few weeks ago and have been enjoying their videos.
I got my latest guitar from their and they treated me like gold. Great dealer!
Welcome to Missouri! I live in Nixa, just a few miles south of there. I am sure you have heard of Branson? You need to come back for a visit during one of the music festivals at Silver Dollar City. Well known artists and some that should be come in from all over to perform. Excellent family fun.
The acoustic shoppe is Eastmans home pretty much! Def wanna see more Eastmans while you’re there!
Jeremy: your are really spreading your wings! Making a guitar, field trips , etc. Very Interesting.
That was an excellent video. The tours and reviews in large shops are always exciting. The Lowden amazed me. Magnificent guitar. The next looks broad enough to make fingerstyle easy. In the 70's I played a classical. Then when I moved to the Martin 28, it took a while to adapt to the narrow neck.
I can't play lowdens - the neck is much too wide - 45 mm at the nut I think - but their sound is always utterly beautiful
another great hang, thanks
Awesome
Great shop and a great bunch of guys!
You can say that again!
Dude you need to go to Willcutt Guitars in Lexington, KY and talk to Bob Willcutt! He has guitars that came in on the Mayflower!
Great video Jeremy.
I particularly liked the Atkin.
The use of yew is very interesting and a timber that has a very pagan past with the trees association with the druids.
Interesting. I'll have to check them out the next time I'm in Springfield.
Good to see Tyler on your video. He and I are from the same area here in East Tennessee. Hes a monster player and an all around great guy!
Dude. He's the best. So humble and blows the doors off that 28...
Awesome video Jeremy! Very interesting and informative. Thank you.
Those Cordoba USA Guilds are f'n amazing. So glad Cordoba rose to the occasion.
I like the tone of that E40om. I have an original E40om-SB and there is a big tonal difference between it and the Bourgeois influenced guitar with tone-tight neck, longer scale and thermo-cured top. I like that Breedlove at the end of the video. Great tone. My very first nice acoustic was a Breedlove Focus maple guitar with the mustache bridge and JLD bridge doctor standard from the factory. The top started to belly last year and a bridge doctor adjustment flattened it right out.
Glad you had a positive experience at the Acoustic Shoppe. A couple of years ago I made two trips (3 hr one way) to the Acoustic Shoppe. When I was able to decide on a guitar to order no one would return my telephone call. I guess I was too much of a beginner to buy a nice guitar from them. Kind of puzzling that a guitar shop won’t sell guitars to all customers. Oh well I found another shop to order my Larrivee guitar, love it.
I'm not quite sure I understand, Fred (I'm on my first cup of coffee..:). You traveled to the store, tried out guitars and went home to decide. Then you called them to place an order and no-one answered?
I do know what town Sam Walton grew up in. Ashland. My Great grandmother played bridge with Sam’s mother every week. My Great grandfather was the town Doc at the turn of the century. Like 1900-1940. So if he knew Sam that is where from.
That was a fun video buddy!
Luthier Jerry of Rosa String Works outside of Rolla, MO, told his viewers about these guys. It has a great reputation and the guys are great players.
Man that Lowden is beautiful 😍
Those guys have great demos in their YT Channel
that Atkin L34 for fingerpicking,.amazing tone.
Would like to hear them in person!
Jeremy, I have heard you playing around on many guitars, thus I have heard you either start a "song", play the middle of a "song", or possibly the end of a "song". I have the word song in quotes eluding to the question; are these parts of original songs that you have written? If not, you should weave some of this stuff together to create songs from them. You seem to have a knack for playing / finding beautiful hooks when you are noodling around on your vids. Thanks for the vids. On another "note" whats the deal with the drone sound in the guitar room at the AcousticShoppe?
Sorry I missed you. Should have come visit the Lou.
Great video
What would I like to take home from there? Eastman E40 OM TC with Tone Tight neck. 2nd Bourgeois Tone Tight OM. 3rd that Thompson (budget permitting)
I would like to quibble with the acoustics of that guitar room. At 1,000 Hz (1 kHz) the wavelength of sound is about 1/3 meter. Much larger than the irregularities in the room, so those irregularities have negligible effect. Any acoustic differences are probably due to the fact that the room is smaller, and its natural frequencies are thus higher. Next time, consult an acoustician.
Looks like I really need to make a trip down to Springfield for a vacation, and about $20K
See ya soon
What is the guitar drone used for? It’s nice to see you giving Eastman some attention. Thanks Jeremy.
About to order a Boucher..Would like your option of what I am putting together..
I have advice calls on my website!
Ohh look at that there's a lefty mandolin and plz tell me there's some Lefty acoustics that are in the higher grade .. I'm looking for guitar in the 2500 to 3250 range
Ending the show on a Breedlove, my man. Nice shop!
I can't wait to own one
@@JeremySheppard obviously, by my profile pic, I love mine! I have an Atlas series that I gig with. More durable. Lam back and sides.
I started to ask about the difference between this and Casino Guitars, but I remembered the wall of Fenders at Casino and no banjos.
I need to stop in this place my next time passing through Springfield.
They're flip sides of the same coin with a lot of mutual stuff. Casino is mostly focused on amazing, high-end electrics and the acoustic shoppe features unbelievable acoustic instruments. They have a few acoustic brands in common.
@@JeremySheppard isn't it bizarre that I bought a Martin at Casino?
@@johnwashburn3793 Ditto. A 000 15SM.
@@titanuranus So you ate the fortunate person. I suppose I should thank you because I got a CEO 7, and you made the decision easier. I might have opted for the SM, I love a 12 fret
Is there any guitar line, anywhere, that rings louder than a Lowden when played with BARE fingers?
Really nice Shoppe and video. Is it really a tonerite on that wall on the mandoline, it does not look like it, no ? I thought that Tonerites were black and square.
It's the Tone Traveler from Dr. Herringbone. Same idea, but it replicates the frequencies of each guitar or mandolin string, and lets you select which ones to resonate.
@@AcousticShoppe Thanks for your response, I will look into it. Keep up the good work.
That feller is like the olivander wand salesman of gitars.
🪄 Accio Breedlove! 🪄
Did you buy anything while you were there? How would you say the Eastmans compare to the other guitars?
With EXPENSIVE guitars you're not really paying for sound are you after a certain threshold. Like you can get just ask good a sound from a good cheaper guitar. I guess it's in it's construction/history/lore/rare/a celeb owned it etc. People go crazy MONEY on some guitars
Nice but never buy a cracked guitar. It might not ever sound the same once you start altering it. Also, if that section cracked, the rest of the wood is also likely very dry and further damage could occur. Buy new and watch your humidity.
I also just bought a new Taylor. I auditioned several including the identical guitar in a satin vs. glossy finish. Shiny finished look amazing HOWEVER they can deaden the tone. That was the case with my Taylor so I bought the less shiny version and she sings. You won't always have two otherwise identical guitars to compare to so keep that in mind. No finish lets the wood really sing out. If you cover it in a thick, almost plastic, it obviously won't sound as bright, or clear. They can still sound good but just try both and go for what sounds best to your ear. I also bought a dread. I loved the size of the smaller guitars however there was no denying the improved tone of the larger sound box. My $800 Taylor has a solid wood top and sounds about as good as the $2k Martin IMO- and the opinion of others in the store including sales staff. I asked them to be honest and they were. I bought the Taylor on the spot.
nice ben rector background music!
Hey Jeremy, someone is texting me claiming to be you that I won a prize from your CZcams channel. There’s no way on your website that shows how to contact you
Why didn't you ask what brand of guitar break-in tool was being used?
I had about 3 hours of footage and cut it this way. I'll do a video on them. This was one from Nux
@@JeremySheppard,
Do you know the model name?
@@tabl10s Those are the Tone Traveler by Dr. Herringbone. You can select which frequencies to emphasize.
What are you playing at 18:10 its beautiful
Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question, but what is the continuous D tone throughout the video why you're in that room.
The humidifier
That is the Tone Traveler by Dr. Herringbone.
What's that background noise?
Did you go to rosa string works? It is best guitar place n the world
I didn't, next time!
You have to go there it is where the greatest guitar builder in the world lives
What did you think of the Breedlove?
I loooved it. It was my favorite. I love Myrtle wood and that zig zag bridge.
The Lowden would have been my choice ...
damn man slow the camera down!!! I had to slow the speed down on the settings!
3:04 what is that microphone
Could it be a constant vibrator to condition the wood? I’m probably wrong, but it’s the only thing I can think of.
@@Lorenzodude1966 beautiful thank you, it gives me a place to start
@@Lorenzodude1966 "Dr Herringbone's Tone Traveler " used to "break-in" guitars

You're totally right. This was a newer version of the Tone Rite
opinion
Come with a case though, I hate when there is no case oh but you get a stupid gig bag only gig bag I seen worth a dang is a B&G all other suck and how many people (player’s) gig out there, small percentage. And high end guitar like that for $6000.00. It believe I got a case
I don't believe any story unless it's a hundred percent not enough proof for me sounds skeptical
You must not believe much then 😂
Which guitar didn't have enough story?
@@JeremySheppard Gibson mandolin
It could be true
I love your show
Here is the current owner of the mandolin telling the story of how he purchased it at a yard sale. czcams.com/video/SZgFRqbgBxM/video.html
That’s the worst sound in the fucking world who would ever intentionally play that
