      I was able to do some test runs on my TLR22 SCT yesterday with the installed Pro-Line Secure-Loc body mounts. Nothing broke, the caps stayed very secure with just a small drop of blue loctite (Which was overkill, because they were hard to remove initially) and I didn't lose a cap! All in all, a great additon to my race truck!

    On the inside of my SCT body I've put two pieces of Gorilla Glue® brand duct tape over the holes, then take a sharpened pencil and push through from the inside. Now when you push the body down over the posts the tape grips the post - no need for clips!

    will this fit the Losi eight buggy 3.0?

  • @Nickwillfixit
    @Nickwillfixit Před 10 lety +1

    Only trouble with them is once the nut's are lost you have to remove the system and go back to body clips, so you might aswel stay with the clips and use the body clip tethers several manufacturers produce or make your own as I do,unless they are going to sell or already do sell the nuts separately and supply a couple of spares in the packet.
    I run largescale gas trucks and buggies and like to get a scale look as much as is possible so anything that would replace the body clips is a bonus my Losi 5ive-T is the best with only four body clips pretty much out of sight and are tethered with my own home made tethers.

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  Před 10 lety

      I getcha! I think for a 2wd race truck both scale looks and heft is not a factor. I wanted to try a new design, that after the initial install and the use now, has shown to be a great design. As for losing them, I picked up the Secure-Loc cap set that extra caps and hardware.

    How does this solve the body clip problem? If you lose one of these you're pretty much up the creek until you order these special caps from proline. With a body clip most people have a spare or two that they would give you, or you could make your own. Other than that it's pretty cool and good review

    • @TheRCNetwork
      @TheRCNetwork  Před 9 lety +2

      Forzalogistics45 It may not solve the "lost clip" issue (if you happen to lose one). but you're less likely to lose one of these. With a very small amount of Loctite, they stay on with no problems

      The proline problem is much worse than lost clips.
      Think fire and hard to reach battery. Plus 4x nuts to take off before getting the battery out.
      Luckily my rc body is chopped so lifts at the sides and easy grab lipo.
      Im nervous one day my rc will burn lol. I seen too many others fire videos.
