I love this review you brought me, back to my childhood its a great time to remember a underrated gem because wow I haven't played in a while. I have issues with this game, tho but it's super fun with great voice acting across the board. Wasn't this game deemed not cannon, from what i heard from different CZcamsrs also this video is a banger.

The current Spider-Man game on PS4/PS5 is the best one, but the framework is still from this generation’s Spider-Man 2 and Ultimate Spider-Man in terms of the free-roaming and swinging. I adore this game and got it as a gift one year, but never replayed it, there was a glitch that caused me the cutscene after the goblin fight not to load, took me 3 tries and finally it loaded so I could continue... but kinda soured me on ever trying it again

Another incredible video!! One of my favorite Spider-Man games of all time next to the ps4 Spider-Man. I wish this would get a remaster! This one is a little more personal and meaningful to me. If it wasn’t for Marcello getting me my first EVER comics, which were ultimate Spider-Man vol. 1 & 2 and him taking me to get my first comic myself which was Civil War, I wouldn’t love comics, games and movies the way I do today. I love this game. In fact, I love the PS1 and PS2 Spidey games as much I love the Insomniac trilogy (Or duology and spin-off?). With Spider-Man 2 and this building the foundations for open-world Superhero games and inspired games like the Batman Arkham series, both of these games are important. This and Spidey 2, first Sam Raimi Spidey game, both PS1 Spideys, Insomniac Spidey series, Marvel Super Hero Squad OG and Infinity Gauntlet, Marvel Nemesis, X-Men Legends 1 and 2, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, MUA 1 - 3, Lego Marvel Trilogy, Hulk Ultimate Destruction, MVC 2 and Ultimate 3, Guardians of the Galaxy (Square Enix), Midnight Suns, The Punisher and Ghost Rider are my favorite Marvel games.

I forgot to say something about The New Animated Series. I got "The Ultimate Face-Off" DVD from a Dollar General. Surprisingly you can find a buttload of TNAS and Spectacular DVDs at Dollar Stores. Another thing about Ultimate Spider-Man is that it's backwards compatible on the 360. One of the 9 Xbox Original Marvel compatible on 360s along with Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Marvel Nemesis, Spider-Man 1 and 2, Hulk, Ultimate Destruction, The Punisher and X2: Wolverine's Revenge. Buggy since it was Microsoft's early attempt to make Original Xbox games work on newer hardware via emulators (Backwards compatibility on One and especially Series X/S shows off how far they came in that aspect). Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Along with some other sprite-based games on Original Xbox) got garbled up sprites. Stinks because not only it's an expensive game, but you can no longer buy the XBLA version. Either make sure you have it before delist, find a used console and hope nobody erased everything on that console and purchased the full version or softmod it. That's what I did with my PS3. But that was pretty much it. They never even got any speaking roles.
I don't have much experience or knowledge with super heroes. I know the basics of Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man. Spider-Man is my favorite and I've really enjoyed a few video games featuring him. The first is Spider-Man on the PS1 and then Marvel's Spider-Man on the PS4, both I'd consider high-quality and premium games. I have to admit however, that I was completely unaware of the Ultimate Spider-Man show that you spoke of, and also this game that you're reviewing. Swinging mechanics are a must in any Spider-Man and it looks like it controls great in this version. I like the web zip aspect. Although watching him swing through the streets, they do look a bit bare. That is awesome you can play as Venom! Very interesting that his health depletes and you'll need to replenish it through victims, I'd be in a constant panic to keep my health up. I'm not a big fan of the shell-shaded graphics, but if the gameplay and plot are strong enough I can give it a pass. Okami is a good example of a game that I enjoyed despite the shell-shaded graphics. Great to hear that the boss fights are challenging and involve the atmosphere. 3-5 hours is a short length for a main storyline! Nice to hear that the music is spot on, you wouldn't expect that so much for a game like this. I'll definitely give it a shot after enjoying the previous Spider-Man games that I mentioned. I don't have it so I'll have to add it to my collection. Great review, and thanks for showcasing a game that I now want to play.

Spider-Man The New Animated Series was literally a 12-episode run on MTV, was shown late at night, and they botched the series because the episodes were all released out of order...but damn was the show truly awesome! The streets are a bit bare, but considering the generation's hardware, I think that's understandable lol. Playing as Venom is a BLAST! There are some games where the cel-shaded graphics feel like a cop-out or not quite attractive, but this one is more like a comic art-style than actual typical cel-shading. I think you would definitely like this game man! I'd say whatever console you nab it on, you're in for a great time! Thanks for checking out the review man (and apologies for the delayed response)!
I really love Sean Marquette's voice for Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this game and sometimes I also imagine Tom Holland being the voice for the character whenever I get to read the Ultimate comics.

This is a fantastic game that everyone should play! The art style is stunning and will live on as it keeps getting older! I have the Xbox version but I want the PS2 Special Edition with the Venom slip cover so bad... but it's so expensive now! I can't wait for next Friday to play the new Spidey game! One of the few Spider Man games I haven’t played before but, man does it look good! Started looking it up to see which system I wanted to play it on, checking for that sweet 480p output and apparently there’s no progressive scan on Gamecube, Xbox or PS2 for this game. Great review though! You have me very intrigued!

Miles is copy and paste the same as Peter where as in past games Spiderman 2099 played so much different than Peter.

While I love the PS4 2018 game the most, Ultimate is easily in my top 3 (with Spider-Man on N64 being my 2nd favorite, but that’s a nostalgia thing lol). Looking back on this I would've loved if they had shown more characters from the Ultimate comics and had them appear in the game.
I think if they had more development time, it would've had even more character appearances for sure.

I play this game when I was about 10 and it's was hard but I finally beat this game. But I never give up on this game

It does not sadly. I forced progressive scan using Swiss when playing this.
