It’s past 7 AM in the morning you’re awake you can handle reading anything don’t tell me you woke up with the lights off in your not thinking
The GameCube is very special to me, my wife bought it for me before we were married when I was in a pretty low time and when I was really missing the simple and pure joy of childhood and games. I remember playing it and having a lot of fun, years later it would the first system I introduced my son to, and years later I would form II around it. Definitely special to me and my family.
Thank you for sharing. Very cool to hear.
A shame that the price of most of the GameCube's library has now shot through the roof. Sonic adventure 2 battle and melee will always have a place in my heart.
I wish I wouldn’t have to emulate and just get the physical copies. Money isn’t the issue but I just simply refuse to pay these prices. I’m just grateful emulation exist. Not GameCube related but snes , chrono trigger is $200 for a cartridge…
It's absolutely insane how expensive gamecube games are now
@@theconsolecollector I'm so glad I bought the majority of my Gamecube collection back in 2011-2012. I paid on average $15-25 for all of my games. I bought Fire Emblem for $20 in Gamestop in 2011. Back then nobody really cared about the Gamecube.
Got myself an ODE for this very reason
I think sonic adventure 2 is on steam.
Just a comment to say I love your Channel RB. This is one of the most wholesome gaming channels on YT, and the community you have fostered is so positive and friendly, a rarety on YT.
I appreciate the kind words and would have to agree that the people who hang around here are pretty awesome :)
I think you missed the part where he re-enacted violence he committed against people who didn’t like the game cube. I mean it explains the handle, but do we need to resort to this type of behaviour?
@@sloppynyuszi yes
Totally agree there. He’s a real gem of a CZcamsr.
Yeah. This guys content is fun.
Twilight Princess and Wind Waker are my favorite Gamecube games, go figure. I grew up playing Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask religiously, so playing the new generation of Zelda games was super exciting as a teenager. I have so many great memories of both games. I have played through them several times in my life as well as 100% completing both of them.
Not a fan of WW but TP is my favorite. I still have both games on Wii U at least, but I sold my copy of WW on GCN back in the day & now it's just too expensive. Luckily, the HD remaster is better, but I still prefer TP over WW.
I love the GameCube for giving me the futuristic racing game I always wanted in the form of F-Zero GX. Originally, I purchased the console for Metroid Prime and was not disappointed. Heck, even the 3rd party support was strong on the GC, giving this little purple box one of the best libraries of any Nintendo system, hands down.💜
Should give Extreme G a look, quite kewl unique racing games too.
When Metroid Prime came out…I just had to have the GameCube. Resident Evil 4, Legend of Zelda Windwaker and Twilight Princess, Mario golf, Metroid Prime 2 Echoes , Viewtiful Joe, and Mario Kart were some of my favorites.
Wind Waker is a classic. I actually like Metroid Prime 2 more than the first one. Rogue Squadron II was also a great launch title and showpiece for the system.
During this time/era I feel the Dreamcast and gamecube were overlooked by the ps2 and Xbox still so many great games to appreciate enjoy the week Retro Bird thank you
Xbox is still overlooked, not that I mind, cheap games ahoy!
@@slamshift6927 the Xbox wasn’t and isn’t overlooked at all everyone was playing ps2 or Xbox back then I know you probably weren’t born yet but you were correct on cheap prices for games though I only say this because I’ve seen all in gaming from 1980 to Now and have every NTSC console and tons of games
@@mjdf122 Xbox was "cool" like PS2 at the time, sure, but the mainstream audience who liked it then has long since moved on, and it seems like most old-school game enthusiasts are more into Nintendo. So I'd agree with Slam Shift: the Xbox is overlooked today!
I wouldn't say it was especially overlooked back then, considering its popularity at the time, though its sales were only about on par with the GameCube... I feel like both GC and Xbox deserved a bigger cut of the market share than they got, but that's how it goes, I guess.
@@3dmarth like you and I both said back then is what was being referred to
@@mjdf122 Xbox sold about the same as the GameCube so it's pretty even with sales and even games (most 3rd party games worked better on these VS PS2)
I don't think the OG xbox is forgetten or overlooked but it definetly wasn't the console "everyone was playing", that was the PS2 hands down. Most non-gamers even had a PS2 due to it being cheaper vs DVD players at the time. I had many friends with cubes and with boxes, but almost everyone I knew had a PS2... only knew 1 guy with a dreamcast... that's the overlooked 6th gen console
GameCube came out when I was 7. Huge n64 fan so GameCube was a no brainer. Every kid I knew had one. With how much I played throughout my childhood and high school I was surprised to find out how little it sold. Melee and f zero gx are the two most cracked out games I’ve ever played to this day. The skill in both is UNREAL. good stuff retrobird
Double dash has been a weekly, sometimes daily game with friends and roommates. Such a good game! Baby Park is madness!
Baby Park will certainly always be enjoyable :)
That's the only course with 9 laps?
@@tonyp9313 7 normally but yes, tons of laps and even more items!
I wish I had gotten into Gamecube earlier. Sadly I was one of the people who never gave it a chance, partially because I never knew anyone with one. I wasn't until I was in a game store and held that controller that I realized I had to have that console. Picked one up that day and never regretted it. 👍
The game that was always fun for me is Soul Caliber 2, but recently a game that surprised me how fun it is was 1080 Avalanche. Keep it up Retro bird!!!
WaveRace Blue Storm too!
One of the best Snowboard games ever!
Ssx tricky & Ssx3 are also great. I wished they would release it for the switch.
Love the GameCube! My best memories and a game that, at least for me, will always be fun is rogue leader - the visuals, the settings, the pursuit of the medals in each stage. Perfect.
So awesome with the Dolby ProLogic surround sound... Still one of the best Star Wars series.
The system of my youth! I never managed to finish Monkey Ball 2 back in the day, but last year I grabbed it up and managed to beat finally!
I was the star quarterback of the football team in high school and dated the homecoming queen. But I still got beat up every day because I owned a GameCube.
First. Also Fzero GX, the last good fzero game, smash bros melee, and Luigi’s mansion.
pretty much the LAST F-Zero game
@@weston407 exactly
@@EnemyDodger it's very frustrating - I'd buy a rerelease of GX right now if they'd put it out - it doesn't even have to be a remaster, just something that works on the switch - I absolutely do NOT understand Nintendo sometimes - it's like they don't want to make money
Probably one of the most satisfying trigger feelings on the controller
Kirby’s Air Ride was my jam. I spent hours on City Trial and trying to complete the grids.
We were a nintendo family up into the sixth gen. I was turning into a teenager though and before long the allure of Halo, GTA, and online multiplayer was too great. These days though I find myself going back to gamecube titles far more often than xbox or ps2.
I remember opening a gamecube to my shock and delight on christmas morning of 2001, my mom telling me that my aunt got me games. Expected Luigi's Mansion and Melee, that night I opened Luigi's Mansion and...Super Monkey Ball? I wasn't impressed with the box or title but immediately fell in love with it upon playing and it started my post-mortem love affair with the dreamcast/NAOMI catalogue.
I think you got all of the clear and obvious choices. Some more controversial picks but favorites of mine and very high on the fun factor include Cel Damage, Sega Beach Spikers, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, F-Zero GX, and my personal favorite gamecube game, favorite RPG, and third favorite game of all time, Skies of Arcadia Legends.
Beach Spikers is definitely an underrated game. I feel like a lot of people don't get into it because they can't just jump in and start winning, even at the lower levels. It's not really clear that you're going to have to just try your best while you level up your AI partner before you can really start kicking butt.
@@mausmalone yeah the AI partner is definitely the achilles heel of that game.
I was so burnt out on Nintendo back when the GC came out, I was all about the PS2. Thank god they released REmake and RE Zero because I wouldn't have even bothered until much later. I bought my first GC used at Gamestop and had only 3 games I cared about RE Zero, REmake, and Smash Melee. Now I am SO GLAD I got one earlier because the library is amazing, I feel like a fool for not caring.
I don't know what it is about you, Bird, but your call to actiom prompts always make me wanna come down and comment. Even if I don't have anything to respond to your questions lol.
Hope you're enjoying the new year!
I appreciate it Ted!
Your personality alone made me sub. You remind me of a great friend of mine and of myself honestly. GameCube is my favorite console of all time and I’ve actually stopped collecting for all other consoles so I can solely focus on GameCube games only (and Kirby games overall). I’m glad to see there’s people who love this console just as much as I do :) it’s a console with a lot of great games that feel unique when played on their native console.
Glad to have you on the channel. Welcome!
I’m glad you mentioned the difficulty of Viewtiful Joe. I got all the way to the last boss on Adult and spent hours on him. I finally gave up and never beat the game. It’s one of those ones that puts you at the beginning of the level when you run out of lives. I almost never give up on a challenging game, but I just couldn’t endure it anymore. Lol
Yeah, I thought I was missing some crucial element on how you're supposed to play the game when I first played it. Nope... turns out it's just really difficult.
You probably got farther than most people on Adult mode. I remember not being able to beat the helicopter at the end of the first level.
@@Crazy_Gamer_OG This was last year actually! I do still have my original save from when the game came out though, and I did make it about halfway. Last year, I wondered why I never finished it and quickly rediscovered that reason. lol
Impressive! I was never any good at the game, never got very far. Still own it though.
Clicked this video exclusively because Viewtiful Joe was in the thumbnail! Such a fun game!
LOL🤣 Watch where you swinging that Cube!
I've gotta shout out Chibi-Robo: Plug Into Adventure as one of the most endearing games Nintendo has ever released. It's definitely one of the first games that comes to mind when the Gamecube comes up, especially when talking about the distinctly and charmingly weird.
CZcams channels that will always be enjoyable = YOURS!
Metroid Prime is the best game for the GameCube.
Great choices! I still own and have played each of these games. They have aged extremely well! The GameCube had a wonderful library.
My picks for favorites are *Smash Bros Melee* , *Mario Party 6 (and 7)* , *Mario Superstar Baseball* , *Metroid Prime* , and the original *Pikmin* (I'll give honorable mention to *Pikmin 2* as well!) There are way too many other GameCube games I've played and enjoyed as well!
Many memories playing 4 players Monkey Ball. Loved the target game and the strategies to winning.
Such a fun console, I'm glad I was able to have fun with it at the time it came out. I recently picked up two new games for it as well - Go! Go! Hypergrind and Resident Evil 4.
The Resident Evil 4 is good, however when they remade them for the PS2 & Wii, they added Ada Seperate ways. This is not on the GameCube Version
I never played the Game Cube, but the CZcams algorithm promote this guy. Here's a comment.
Haha appreciated :)
Yay!! A new retro bird video! Love your content!
So many great games. I kinda wish it remained under the radar because prices are insane. Luckily I was an early adopter.
Same
Ultimate Muscle, Godzilla Destroy all Monsters Melee, Def Jam 1 & 2, Day of Reckoning - all very underrated.
i've always wondered what that handle on the gamecube was for
TO SMACK ALL THE HATERS
Love your channel, man. I've been making banana jokes with my kids since 2012, so I can identify with the kid-friendly goofiness.
Great, now I need a GameCone.
We have a GameCube at our family complex. Mario Party 4 and 6 are ALWAYS a hit.
Mario strikers always is a good “winner stays on” game.
Love some Mario golf sitting back, maybe with a little “mood setting”.
If your gonna include Sunshine and Paper Mario, can’t not mention Zelda WW. An absolute art piece.
Mario Golf on Game Cube is the best kids golf game I have ever played. The meter is so simplistic that you won't miss with the manual or Automatic swings. Way better than any of the Hot Shots series. Hot Shots you have no options & the swinging bar is so hard to get accurate in that game.
Yeah, Wind Waker is such a solid game. Probably one of my favorite Zelda games.
The RB song it´s dope!!! Really love it!
The gamecube is a console I am starting to collect for, i got both of the prime games, and they are both really fun (I do prefer the first one) I definitely am going to pick up the Monkey Ball games and Luigi's Mansion one of these days
Oh yeah Luigi's Mansion. That is a lot better than Luigi's Mansion whatever no it is on Switch.
Love your videos man, we're the same age and share many of the same opinions in gaming... But I got a question for ya
How do you structure your video process? With all the little skits and cutaways, do you write a script then figure out where you can illustrate with something funny? That's my assumption, but I'd love a reply... Or even a discussion video just talking through how you make so many different videos with a consistent "storytelling" flow.
Thanks!
No problem. I write my scripts and as I go along, I highlight the sections that I could use cutaway scenes for (differentiating between the ones that have me in them and the ones that don't). Everything else will have gameplay footage that I film at the beginning of pretty much every week.
@@RetroBirdGaming Cool, that's what it seemed like, since the cutaways with you are so relevant to what you're saying...in the way you make fun of yourself :)
Thanks!
Love my GameCubes, yes plural. 1 for my official discs, and 1 with the gcloader. Both are fun 1 is just a bit more convenient.
1:11 I for one would like a pair of GameCube-shaped boxing gloves!!
I still have my little cube from early 2000s when it was our house console at uni. Double Dash was constantly on along with smash bros mele. Not sure if it was platform exclusive but NHL Blitz is a fond memory too, hockey version of NBA Jam what could be better?
Hey I think your channel is 10/10 RB!
You have inspired me to play GameCube again, luckily they're available for a decent price still here in the UK. I'm having a great time replaying Wind waker, it was the first Zelda Game I beat as a kid. I know it was massively disliked at the time but it's aged very well.
I'm now wanting to get a PS1 and a CRT TV to relive some more memories.
Big thanks for introducing me to the Klonoa series as well. I just completed the 1st game on Switch. Amazing game!
If you're still looking for a crt, widescreen and hd crts are basically free now because they aren't as desirablefor enthusiasts. they are perfect for GC, Wii, PS2 and og Xbox imo. They also tend to be newer than most crts and will last longer before needing repair.
Great video as always. With your love for Viewtiful Joe, you've GOT to check out Super Crush KO.
If just got a huge discount on Switch and is $3.50. it's the closest feeling game to play I've found since that series faded away, but with more of an arcade/score-chase setup. Whole game has maybe 2 hours of content, but I put 5x that in and still revisit frequently. I hope you get a chance to check it out!
I'll have to take a look at it!
Zoids lots of playable mecha and it was fun unlocking the next zoid :D
I love the cube design. I did the picoboot mod to my Gamecube and I'm loving it. great video!
I was thinking about doing it to my GameCube but I don’t have a CRT TV, I don’t know if it will be playable or ugly visuals on a modern tv
@@NegociosSemEstresse I really like the gamecubes design. I hear its easier to mod a wii and that plays Gamecube games. The Picoboot was my first soldering job. I think I did a pretty good job. Its only 5 wires if i remember correctly. I wasn't too difficult if you study up on it first. I play of an SD gecko.
@@captainhawdon937 what about the Action Replay isn’t it easier?
@@NegociosSemEstresse Stick to a CRT with non hd systems.
@@NegociosSemEstresse I considered that. the disc is kind of rare. You might beable to burn one on those little discs. the pico pi was only 5 or 10 dollars and the wire and other supplies were pretty inexpensive. I didn't want to have to swap discs or any of that. It's worth researching what the best method for your budget and time is.
Luigis mansion and Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour are my two go to games on my gamecube. Paper Mario: TTYD, Animal Crossing, Sonic Adventure 2, and Mario Party 5 are timeless as well
Gotcha Force. I only got to spend a few days playing this game at my cousin's, and it had the whole quick drop-in-and-play arcadey feel down pat. If I ever get a chance to get a copy, it will be a miracle. It's insanely pricey.
Yeah, it's too bad it's so hard to get :(
wind waker is out here aging like a fine wine 🍷
One game on gamecube that will always stick out for me is timesplitters 2 it's different from most FPS games but still works extremely well.
I owned all of the consoles of this generation. Nintendo were hamstrung by the fact that their little box could not play DVDs. Although the Gamecube was pretty powerful, Microsoft's XBox was the beast of this generation. But what has stood the test of time, is the controller; it has not needed revisions like Sony and Microsoft, and still feels just as good!
Super Monkey Ball 2 is always a fun game, albeit kinda difficult. The mini games are also really fun when you have company over
PN03, an arcade style third person shooter that, once everthing clicks reminds me a lot of punch out oddly enough with all the timing, dodging, telagraphing and special moves.
Resident Evil Remake, Resident Evil Zero, Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, Resident Evil 4 (One year exclusivity), Viewtiful Joe(One year exclusivity), Eternal Darkness, Mario Kart Double Dash, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Legend of Zelda Wind Walker and Twilight Princess…… no complaints here.
If it were not for the Game Cube, I would not of played my favorite game of all times, Skies of Arcadia Legends.
Glad I FINALLY know what the handle is really for! Thanks Bird!
Thanks for another awesome video!! Super Smash Bros Melee is one of my favorites. It was my introduction to smash bros, now one of my all time favorite game franchises. Also the intro hits so hard every time
Animal Crossing, Super Smash Bros Melee, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and F-Zero GX will always have a place in my heart.
Love those games!.
Heard the background music and thought it sounded so familiar, then you mentioned double dash and I was like, Oooo yaaaa. That is where it is from! lol
You got it!
1st let me start off by saying i love the channel and i am 100% for the whole "get on my lawn" attitude, thank you for all your content. 2nd i agree with a lot of the comments on here,my fiancee and I both have a lot of love for the GameCube (and i equally love the SNES) sadly a lot of the games i love are expensive so i am resorting to emulating them (which is a perfectly fine alternative, i just prefer physical media as my main choice personally) . with that all being said i do have a few cheaper games (at the time of posting this comment at least) in our collection that we think are fun (for us at least) that might be worth a look? Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life , Harvest Moon Another Wonderful ,Harvest Moon Magical Melody, NBA Street vol 1 & (or ) 2 , Metroid Prime, Need for Speed Most Wanted, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, Tony Hawk Underground 2, X-Men Dimension.
Thank you for the positive vibes Christopher.
I got back into playing Double Dash regularly a few months ago, and I think it's got a lot more going for it than the tag team concept. There's a real sense of grunt to the karts that I don't think is really there in its sequels. Speeding through opponents and knocking them out of the way feels powerful. The track design's some of my favourite in the series, and I quite like the weird alternate paths that don't cut any time - that kind of weird freedom feels evocative of the console, and it's funny to see multiplayer opponents think they're being cunning and ending up further back in the race.
I don't feel like I see Viewtiful Joe get brought up very much these days. I was one of the few who bought it on release (they even gave me a special Viewtiful Joe shopping bag when I bought it), and I definitely enjoyed it, but haven't really played it since then. This might be the encouragement I need to go back in. I've owned the second game for years, but I don't think I've played more than an hour of it. I really need to fix that sometime.
Great take on Double Dash. I agree with everything you said.
Agreed! Double Dash felt like it had a really high skill ceiling, with its more technical handling. The newer games like 8 improve on DD in many ways (like graphical quality and the number of tracks), but they also feel a bit watered-down in comparison. I've come to appreciate DD more than I did back in the day.
And yes, definitely give Viewtiful Joe 2 a try! It's a lot like the first, but I think I actually liked it a bit more. (It's also a bit easier, as I recall, so the Adults difficulty is more reasonable.)
A few hidden gem games I'd recommend are Chaos Field, Rampage: Total Destruction, Starfox Adventures, Billy Hatcher and Beyond Good & Evil. I was one of those kids that owned a Gamecube before a PS2. So, that's why the system will always hold a special place in my heart.
Star Fox Adventures is so underrated, enjoyed that game so much.
Gamecube is a charming little guy. Missed Star Wars Rogue in your list. So, bring us chapter II 😁
Surprising enough I have 4 of these since I was a kid and recently bought the 5th one lol
That was genuinely funny and entertaining to watch man, especially the "oooh you" to the Gamecube at the beginning😂
Thank you!
You are not lying about Gamecube seemingly being an oddity and some of its entries in Nintendo's main franchises were weird, different and experimental for its time.
My top Gamecube recommends:
1. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker (Toon Link cel-shaded Zelda with a unique art style)
2. Soul Calibur II (Link in a 3D fighting game)
3. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (Controversial MGS remake)
4. Resident Evil 4 (3rd Person Resident Evil)
5. Smash Bros. Melee
6. Metroid Prime
7. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
8. Eternal Darkness
9. F-Zero GX
10. Skies of Arcadia Legends
Still love me some Viewtiful Joe every now and then. Kenji a go go baby!!!
Man, I played the crap out of the GameCube. Awesome console. Nowadays I play GC games with my 6-year-old daughter thru the power of Dolphin on PC. Super Monkey Ball and Super Mario Sunshine are, without a doubt, masterpieces. Also the first Metroid Prime. So freakin' good... especially with keyboard+mouse. Oh and Smash Bros Melee. It's so good, I bought it twice! And the demo disc of Resident Evil 4... My little head was like "Holy shiiii-" haha! Wonderful times.
Long live GameCube. Long live Dolphin.
Great start to a relaxing Saturday, thanks man! I never had a GameCube, but I sure can appreciate its games.
Fun video! Windwaker will always be my favorite gamecube title. Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Baseball, and Pikmin 1+2 are among some of my other favorites.
Kirby's Air Ride is my go-to for always fun on gamecube.
Where do I even start??? 😂 All the games you mentioned of course, good sir, but also the first two Metroid Prime games, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Rogue Squadron 2 and 3, Wind Waker, and the promotional compilation known as The Legend of Zelda: Collector’s Edition. Also, so many games that I played on this system which were also on other systems. Speaking of Viewtiful Joe…. “Davidson is in the houuuussseee!!!! Oh, Davidson is BORN to be WILLLLLDDDDD!!!!!”😅😅😅
I always knew the handle had a purpose...haha. Great video Mr. Bird!
This was, in my opinion, one of the best times in gaming, and also one of the best times to be a Nintendo fan (possibly the best time, even).
So many great games, and many of my favourite games of all time were either made for GameCube (SSBM, Metroid Prime, F-Zero GX), or rereleased for it (Ocarina of Time, Sonic Adventure).
Rarely, if ever, has one Nintendo console delivered so many flagship entries in their best franchises, as well as unusual new experiments that also turned out to be worthwhile.
Great video. Your love for super monkey ball in the past persuaded me ro pick up 🍌 blitz on the switch and I have to say I enjoy it. Thanks for the great consistent content!
Hope you're enjoying Monkey Ball and thank you for watching!
I just got double dash for the GameCube for 40 bucks and found my memory card from when I was 10 and resumed my game haha
Thinking Wind Waker should be on the list. Even with the Wii U remake, the original stands out as a great time on the GameCube…it was prob the game that sold me on the system
I never had one, but I will get one this year!! And now I know how to use that handle!
Great video. Love my GameCube. Owned one since 2004 to complement my Xbox. Agree with your point about the Wii - feel warmer towards the cube than the Wii. Then I compare the libraries and have to admit the Wii has a better library 🤯 who knew?! Still prefer the cube though ❤
Yes for me the Wii has also a much better library, but gamecube has some unique and cool games.
The other big one that belongs on that list is Metroid Prime. It aged incredibly well and is easily one of the top five best on the GC. Definitely will live on as a classic and is just as fun today as it was when it first came out.
I never played it on the GameCube, but I definitely want to try the remastered version for the Switch.
dude u genuinely make me laugh throughout lol love your videos
Happy to hear it!
Mario Party and ... I almost wrote Pokemon Stadium😂 Can't believe that Stadium is even older!
Viewtiful Joe will indeed always be fun. It was retro before retro was cool to do. Released during a time when 2D console games were practically dead. In a way, I feel liked it helped revive it.
Yeah, it feels even more special looking back on it now.
This is the Gamecube content that I crave. Along with nanners.
I loved all the games you mentioned as well as Eternal Darkness, the best version of Smash Brothers, and MGS Twin Snakes.
just found your channel by this video, and imediatelly subscribed, nice job, keep'em coming!
Welcome to the channel! Glad to have ya :)
F-zero GX for me, I’ve never played another racer quite like it. I wish Nintendo would give that game a nice HD remaster.
I only had a GameCube for a brief period of time in my life, but I used to have so much fun playing Super Mario Sunshine!
When I saw that you can play Super Money Ball and eat a banana, my mind was blown by the multitasking innovation.
Just to name a few that I also consider classics:
-Super Smash Bros Melee
-Mario Party (4-7)
-Zelda Wind Waker
-Sonic Adventure 1 + 2
-SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom
-The Simpsons Hit and Run
Probably the game I come back to on the Gamecube the most is Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader. It does everything that the first Rogue Squadron does and cranks it up to 11, with more missions, more power ups, and more controls. It's great for just fooling around for a few hours, or for a deep dive into the entire game. Plus with side-missions that let you play as Darth Vader taking down the Rebel Alliance, it's real unique!
Something I found out not too long ago. The follow up, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike has a co-op mode. But, the co-op is not Rogue Squadron III, it's all of Rogue Squadron II, letting you and a buddy take down the empire in some good old-fashioned couch co-op!
You had me laughing out loud throughout the whole video. Bravo
Happy to hear it!
Nintendo puzzles me with its unwillingness to port some of these awesome Game Cube titles to the Switch, along with Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and the Metroid Prime games. And by the way, I love the water pack in Mario Sunshine!
I love many Nintendo GameCube classics but Mario Party 7 for me is a timeless amazing master piece and I love it. This was wonderful I love the Nintendo GameCube. Cool video. ^_^
I’d also add a wind Waker for its innovative and the timeless visuals, twilight princess, for its amazing story and dungeons, and super smash Bros melee because it’s a very good super smash Bros game and also just a really good party game.
I do love me a good old fashioned nostalgia bait video :)
