I've never seen a single spider man movie and the only game I played up until the PS5 remaster was on the SNES but really solid review my guy. Praying for you and the family and for this new kiddo

Literally had photo mode mission years before it became a thing in modern games. This game had so much depth into it that it’s actually insane. This is still my favourite Spider Man game to this day and I think it’s well playable even today

Great review! I recently played this game on my channel (the Xbox version) and I ran into some of the funniest glitches I've ever seen. Yes the game has aged, but it's still fun to play and one that influenced Spider-Man games going forward

Man, this is such a nostalgia trip. Thank you for this! Also I'm glad I wasn't the only one who accidentally ran straight down the buildings lol. In general, I love the traversal of the game, but pretty much hated every boss fight. Still one of my favorite childhood games though.

The boss fights I didn’t mind too much, but the final one with Doc Ock was frustrating, and the train one lacked any excitement the movie adaptation carried. Brought back memories playing this as a kid.. man I miss it. I did like the first one bc of the animations and character models, the spider man in the first looked so real. All 3 were good.

I never played this back in the day, but saw the box for it every shift I worked at Blockbuster. Hearing how the web slinging & combat works it feels like a precursor to what Insomniac would later do with their Spider-man series.
Man, I miss Blockbuster! Yeah, Spider-Man 2 was the pioneer for how many future games would come to fruition. Insomniac’s first Spider-Man game was a masterpiece! Its sequel was the complete opposite for me sadly lol. Thanks for checking out the review man!
Great timing considering I got done watching the movie. This game is really important because we get to free roam in New York for the first time. Previous games does have New York, but as levels. Treyarch took good advantage of the engine and a step-up from the original just like the movie the game is based on like all sequels should be. Looking forward to in depths reviews on the X-Men, both Hulk games (Also watched the 2003 Hulk movie few days earlier and Hulk punching the Hulk pitbull in it's "special part" had me in stitches. God I love the 2000s Marvel movies!), Marvel Nemesis and Fantastic Four to warp-up Marvel's run on the GameCube before jumping into the Wii with the first Ultimate Alliance. Off-topic, but I'm pretty sure you know in the recent Nintendo Direct (Chances are high since you are a Nintendo fan) they are bringing back Marvel vs. Capcom. Really stoked to get it on the Switch and see fans play them on Switch and modern PlayStations, sucks it's not coming to Xbox One/Series according to tech issues with an engine, though. That could be the reason why the Mega Man Battle Network Collection outside of just the "Xbox gamers only love shooters, not Japanese-developed RPGs" mindset/bias people are assuming. Hopefully they'll figure it so they can finally release those on Xbox. Outside of that, let's go crazy whenever the collection releases.

And in my eyes, the aged aspects of games like this are part of the charm of these old games that I missed, honestly. Maybe that's why the outdated stuff of some games, movies, TV shows and even those old cartoons with stereotypes and propaganda that Disney and WB used to do seems fascinating to me and I can easily tolerate with no issues. Don't mind the old-school jank. Just my honest opinion. Really does make me happy people are still enjoying these games in the age where most AAA stuff are cookie cutter open-world, battle royale, live-service and online-only games.
I have spent so many hours and re-runs on this game. The over ambitious is something that could've been in the behind but honestly this title excel. For the hardware and what they did with what they had ti make this as one of the most monumental Spider-Man games for its time. Insomniac took this blueprint and just truly perfected it in Marvels Spider-Man 2018. This a great , honest and fair review. Absolutely love this game and can always go back to it without hesitation. The nostalgia from watching the "Stair Stepper Kicks Combo" at 5:45 ...mmmhhhm, *lip smack* noice! I would hop on this game post completion as a kid just to do this combo and show my friends LOL Good Times!!! Phenomenal review!!! Well organized, great pacing, and detailed! There actually is music when you explore the city, but you must not activate any side mission nor the green icon crime missions for about 5 minutes, you can swing around the city and wait until it shows but only 2 tracks from the soundtrack are available for traversing

This is one of the few Movie Tie In Games, where as a kid, I thought everything that happened in this game like Rhino and Mysterio was canon to the movie universe. I remember the final boss fight with Doc Oc being such a pain for me! Also this game has one of my FAVORITE side mission…. PIZZA TIME

I played the hell out of this game. For me it was amazing to have a GTA like Spiderman for the first time. The swinging was also very realistic.
