    What a thinker. It was a pure pleasure to listen to him. And I don't know why,but during the whole conversation I just can't take my eyes off his hands.

      I've noticed that i often find myself watching his hands. The way he uses them to accentuate what he says is very intriguing. Even when I'm watching his movies I enjoy watching how he uses his hands to help him act. And the way he does it is very unique to him. Sort of how you might notice Leonardo Dicaprio uses his hands in a way that is just Leo.

    American history x introduced me to Ed and I have watched all his movies since. Such a difficult character to somehow make sympathetic in the end... this man is a genius! Very underrated.

    I wish Jenelle had another chance to interview Edward. She was great the first time around! He's telling a lot of the same stories as the first interview a few years ago because the interviewer isn't that great this time. Jenelle's interview: czcams.com/video/avusZa1hsYQ/video.html

    Fight Club is one of those movies to have you thinking if your job sucks and some boss is a jackass there are things you can do about it and the personality Tyler will change your life completely guys have found a place where they enjoy unleashing frustration anger here is another fav Pulp Fiction I like those stories one the Gold Watch because even though Christopher Walken got a small part in that he told the story of war and what happened so well fans can appreciate these movies .

    I was upset that there wasn't more adventurous art in my youth. I was a bit sad: I had this drama teacher in high school Sharon Leftwich who was this juxtaposed sort of classic Greek this, and French surrealist that. She told me when we were studying Artaud, that one he died on stage for 8 hours, I was full of awe. I mean, sometimes, like Andy warhol, celebrity disappears up it's own *ss like an orouberous vain snake and they forget about the customers a bit, but other times it's just to be more realistic. So this description "Finn Argyle is a thirty something single forensic pathologist," right, there's only so many outfits to wear the sentence never ends
    '...who decided stairs were boring and every room in his house is connected by slides" or
    "Who railed against two eyeball fascism in his youth and was hospitalised after gene splicing himself with a spider"
    Or
    "Prefers to drink in an Icelandic giant fable theme pub" right? I always wished the people weren't scared to be happy in harmless ways

    To all the actors here, is what Norton saying true about acting being first analytical and emotional second?

    • @ayushawasthi1690
      @ayushawasthi1690 Před 3 lety +2

      For me, when I want to do something meaning a material I would do for free, is one where I'm emotionally connected first.
      But as an actor , moving towards the control of my craft, it has to be analytical and by analytical I mean, you become discerning, questioning your choices...And building belief after all that dry analysis.

    I of course wouldn't fault Brando at all for using an ear wig at the age of 82, the only thing is I've heard from plenty of different outlets over the years that he'd been doing that for decades. like at least even as early on as the Godfather, if not even previous. I can more easily understand some taking issue all the way back then with him not being as diligent has having your basic lines already on the day. He obviously was bringing the juice with his performances back in the 70s but it can speak to a certain lack of professionalism.
