- Clear Acrylic Window Bird Feeders are a lot of fun. A review and test of the Clear Acrylic Window Bird Feeder gets me up close and personal to my favorite small mountain songbirds. A second full test will be completed in Florida next month and hopefully some Painted Buntings will take to it just like the Chickadees and Titmice. It is easy to install and depending on what window you use it is totally squirrel proof as in my installation here as there is no way for the squirrels to get to it - they haven't figured out to climb siding yet. You can also install and refill the feeder by just opening a window if you have it high off the ground like this one. All in all a barrel of fun for bird-lovers and of course the birds. I have mine on the window over my computer desk so I'm watching Chickadees and Titmice come and go and hammer away at sunflower seeds all day long just inches from my computer screen, very relaxing and you learn even more about these industrious little birds.

I loved the video. As a crazy bird man I love birds and I've always wanted to watch them eat from my window. They are truly an amazing creation from God Almighty.
What I am seeing is nature, in all its intended glory, the woods basking in the sunshine, the little birdies acting out a play that we humans could learn so much from. To say this is beautiful is an understatement, no words can fit the bill. Just receiving it, it fills you up.

I bought one several months ago but just got around to mounting it to the outside of the kitchen window a week or so ago. It took the chickadees about 10 minutes to find it. I was amazed. What I found most interesting is being able to observe what their preferences are. Great little invention.
so happy to se that they work ,i have some sparrows nesting under my roof tiles at winter time gets pretty cold here in Norway ,so this is going to be fun and safe from cats :)

I've been using a similar feeder for close to a year now though it does not have the tray in it. I also get a lot of Chickadees and Titmice coming to feed from it. Occasionally one of the sparrow types around here will visit as well. The largest bird I have witnessed on it was a Red Bellied Woodpecker.
But he feeder has become a bit of a bone of contention among the local Mourning Doves which causes me to take it down for a week or two at a time occasionally. I have good feeding locations for them out in the yard but for some reason they want to feed out of this feeder. While it is really nice taking in the details of these birds at close range, they battle each other fiercely over access. Never knew that Mourning Doves were such cantankerous birds until this.
Overall, these window feeders are fantastic. One of the best bird feeders I've ever purchased.
3 years later - I’m having the EXACT same problem! I keep yelling at them to get their act together or no one is getting any food 😂 they aren’t listening...
I could watch them for hours! Sweet birdies!

Indeed! If you have bird feeders you can throw away your TV (as I have) because the birds are a much better and more edifying show!

I was happy to see that you have a very similar feeder to mine (mine holds water in the center) and we have not had any visitors yet even with the birds in the yard. We have put seeds on top and the ground below the feeder to let them know it was there. Was getting discouraged. Thank you 💜

You have some really friendly blue jays. I've been putting shelled peanuts into an old metal candy tin on the roof and the blue jays fly away if I'm looking out the window.
I have this I had a song thrust come until one day he flew threw my window and never came back :c

although i love the ide i always wonder if bird feeding is beneficial... what if they get used to it...

I'd love one of these but we have windows with screens plus they are not close enough to ground level to be able to keep going outside to refill.
I removed the screen and then you can lift the window from inside and reach under with a cup of seed to fill it without going outside to fill it. I have it on a high window also.

The suction cups hold pretty strong so a squirrel or maybe two should be fine especially if you use the bigger suction cups included. Could be fun as a squirrel feeder to if that's what people want. I've been at Wikipedia going through all the jay species to try to identify it, but can't find this one.

I just purchased this bird feeder. I was wondering if the sun would damage the acrylic and make it turn yellow
I really enjoy mine and they are in a somewhat shade place but I would imagine after a few years they may start to show the effects of sun and weather.
