- An annual march past by former and serving members of many cavalry regiments, followed by a short service to commemorate those who were killed on active service.
For this, the Regiment provides the two regimental bands (augmented by musicians from other regiments taking part), 4 State Trumpeters, and a marching party formed of 1 Officer and 12 men from each of The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals.
Occasionally the salute is taken by a member of the Royal Family, or visiting royalty.
Something that can be observed from a suitable distance.
Serving and retired members of thek Regiment start to gather from 10:00 on the Broad Walk (East) just inside the park, parallel to Park Lane - with the march taking place at 11am.#thekingsguard #london ondon #horse #horseguardsparade #hydepark - Zábava
Thank you for that Buska, that was a joy to watch, well done to all that marched, brilliant. 👍
That was so enjoyable to watch. Long procession of very smart soldiers and veterans. I loved the comment from someone `'no talking in the ranks`'. That gave some of them a bit of a laugh. Thank you Buska.
This was magnificent Buska. Thank you for presenting this gorgeous display of proud guards, vets and young soldiers. How wonderful that the pony had medals too. Watching from across the pond in Canada
Thanks for covering this wonderful procession of active and retired cavalry troopers!!! Spectacular!!
Looking very smart
Really enjoyed that Buska, love marching music..
What a site to see. Love it x
Just fabulous. Bless them all and a huge thank you for the service. ❤️
That was AWESOME. LOVE IT.✝️🙏👑❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for taking this. Loved watching it.
Wonderful
I hope the intruders got a look at this wonderful patriotism! This is England! So impressive! Loved it!
The sooner you realize it is Christ vs Antichrist the better of humanity will be.
Fantastic! Tradition is so important it’s wonderful to see it still being upheld! Sadly it’s falling by the wayside here in the USA, more and more the ceremonies and celebrations are no longer happening because the older generations are passing on. Young people today find no meaning in traditions like these and lately they’re determined to destroy anything remotely patriotic. At least I can watch yours and be proud!😻❤️
Magnificent
The cute horse had medals ! Lovely mascot for the 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards.
"No talking in the Ranks" brilliant. Nothing like some British Pomp and Circumstance. A few Chelsea Pensioners too. Superb Buska, thank you.
Chelsea Pensioner! Once again great work bringing us a truly British tradition, an import one.
Well, that couldn’t have been more British if it tried.👏🏻
They all look so proud to of served our country ,I bet a lot are appalled at what it has become now
Spot the famous faces of horseguards! Easier with Blues and Royals too. Some ex-H/CAV I notice too. Thanks Buska for this fantastic clip.
Super! I particularly loved the rolled umbrellas!
Thank you. Great to see
I love all these traditions.
Nice one Buska
don't let my name get you , born and live in london but I have never seen this before .
I think you will find this is an annual event.
That’s one hell of a turnout, respect to you all
Hah the dropped keys! Could have had them all tumbled down as they tried to keep moving!
Apologies...spur.
Are British veterans issued bowler hats upon separation?
Only officers wear bowler hats, other ranks are permitted to wear regimental berets or no headdress
The Scots Guards paraded last month, with no hats of any kind. Officers and other ranks were the same. No class distinction observed.
@@YARROWS9 that is the tradition of the Scots Guards
@@steveellis9065 Yes. Everyone's the same.
Serving and retired officers wear ‘city kit’ ie lounge suit, bowler and furled umbrella. Other ranks still serving wear lounge suits, no headdress and veteran other ranks *may* wear regimental beret but this is generally seen on the older vets and is rarely seen in any vet below 60 years old. Also a smattering of side hats.
Where are all the trouble makers?? Where are all the England British flags???
veterans, not vetrans
Buska Why did my acceptable and accurate
posting fail.
It focussed on the need
to render material help to
veterans including those
who had been injured on
active service.
Anyway I have other
avenues to visit.Includes
Persons of the Royal
British Legion.
Bet you won' t respond
to me

Great video. Female officers - tie your hair up and remove the bowlers. You look silly.
