I must say, it’s very interesting to see fellow Americans excited about the history of what they’re saying, and asking questions. It really does go to show that here in the United States even though we have a shared history, we are still very much interested in the ceremonial part of that history..
Yes, now watching this Channel and listening to John, I have really enjoyed learning so much about London ,the Horse Guards, and all the work that the Guards has to do to prepare for their duties. They are so dedicated to the country ashame that the tourists don't treat them with more respect. Love listening to John highlight of my day. Thank you John

Your video clips of Horse Guards are my favorite because you narrate exceptionally well and have a remarkable sense of humor. Most of all, I admire your loyalty to King and Country. Those troopers and their horses are outstanding, and many tourists seem to agree. It's too bad that a few think they can be disrespectful and inconsiderate. I adore the horses. So far, Trooper Ormond and Trooper Monty are my favorites, 💝but I love them all.💖 As for the young horse guards, they are brave and disciplined young men who I am sure made England and their families proud. I used to own a Cottage in Cornwall. I remember seeing a car pull up outside and a middle aged couple sat eating Fish and Chips . When they finished, the car door opened and the woman bent outwards and deposited their Fish and chips papers and leftovers right on my garden step, before driving off.
Your streets are nice and clean. In South Africa our roads are full of rubbish and potholes. It's disgusting over here

John. You have to remember that Horseguards is a military installation first and foremost. The tourists are allowed as a courtesy really. Military events on the parade ground will always take precedence .

Oh dear….lied to by a politician? What a novel experience THAT would be🙄😱 And that Monty, is our Monty’s namesake tho.
Is it because they’re using the parade ground for practice for the Trooping of the Colour? There’s a lot of practices required and here they have stabling for the horses involved and the parade ground……or maybe not 😂 As we all know, schedules go out of the window at this time of the year. Yeah, thought that was Sizzler……wasn’t sure till he turned around…..he’s got a lil white spot on the back of one of his fore legs.
And what on EARTH was that pink/mauve outfit in aide of? It’s a military barracks and I know that back in the day “persons” dressed like that were welcomed it wasn’t usually thru the front gate!! Look, I’m all for people wearing what they want, but outfits screaming “I have an only fans account….PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!” aren’t really the go for family consumption, right? This is not a club so no matter how you might wish to show off your side boob, please refrain.

Horses tend to absorb excessive calcium from the intestine and then eliminate it via urine, which gives it a cloudy/milky appearance.
The small horse is a gelding, John. I don't remember seeing this one before. May be smaller, but is indeed a Nipper! Lol

I'm not a vet, but a bit of milky pee like at 19:03 is quite normal for a horse, as far as I know. Something to do with what they eat, if they get more calcium than they need, they get rid of it by peeing it out, making their pee look a bit whitish. As long as the horse is healthy, nothing to worry about.

Hi John, I am from Brisbsne, QLD Australia. You do a Great Job, keeping us informed and entertained. The Troopers are Great going about doing the Job they are trained to do. I am an Australian Army Veteran and understand their sense of Duty and Discipline. The horses are well trained, as I am a horseman from.the bush. My horse Cobfire (Cobber) was a great half racehorse/Stockhorse.

Hi John. They just did a change over to replace Thor on the gatesman's side box. New horse has a mark but no #. I can't see the top of his blaze, but what I can see, including socks tells me it may be Sizzler, who I have only seen once. Whatever his name, he's a real beauty!
Actually the only British Monty I know is “The Full Monty” which was a movie about a special calendar. 😉
The statue really looked like General Montgomery. That’s unusual.
“The Full Monty” wasn’t about a calendar…….that was “Calendar Girls” about a WI (Woman’s Institute…..normally bastions of “polite” behaviour) branch that decided to do a nude calendar to fundraise. “The Full Monty” was about a bunch of Sheffield lads, mostly unemployed steelworkers, producing their own male strip revue and the ensuing shenanigans.
This way wont have to fight the people out of the way.

The Prime Minister was due to be there either Tuesday or Wednesday and the Defence Minster cos they were on telly.Something to do with The commerative Torch for the start of the D-Day Relay. (Dont know if thats why it was closed).
