Welding the cracked manifold for my 2.4 Ecotec out of my 2010 Terrain

Question, was your filler wire something special for cast or did you just use wire for Plain Carbon steel welding?

Just plain Jane welding wire, nothing special.

@@factoryratgarage I have used 70S-6 wire with 25/75 gas mix on cast iron hydraulic motor housings before. Customer never complained so I guess it held. I did say no warranty though.

@@bobber55 it’s been holding good so far. I think most of it is the process that helps it from not cracking.

@@factoryratgarage Yes the process. is not too hot and not too cold too soon.
