- In this video, you’ll get an overview of the new URP 3D Sample available in Unity Hub with Unity 2022 LTS.
This tutorial is based on achapter in the e-book “Introduction to the Universal Render Pipeline for advanced Unity creators”. You can also learn about other possibilities in URP in the e-book “The Universal Render Pipeline cookbook: recipes for shaders and visual effects”.
The URP 3D Sample consists of four environments that feature different art styles, rendering paths, and scene complexity to represent the variety of 3D projects built with URP.

Finally some decent new work from you guys. Super keen on new scenes and how these work in a practical sense
That little decal solution is pretty sweet, looks super easy to use. Great work on that one
What a beautiful introduction, thank you!
this sort of content are the best
Really glad that Unity is creating such tech which allows not just creating Graphically intense games, but also those game available for Mobile devices. Cant wait to see game made with URP and be available on variety of platforms
the entire URP team quit the company lol
That's not true @@94HellGate
@@94HellGate 🤣
@@94HellGate not true
It looks like they are unifying HDRP and URP pipelines, which is what many of us wanted. It would make sense as to why people would want to quit. But I hate to speculate. We'd just have to see how this pans out
Finally. Thanks Unity!!! Well done.
who's presenting/narrating all the videos? great job!
This is great! Concise and useful overviews of demo projects we can use to learn and build from is what Unity need more of!
Also get rid of the runtime fee. Please switch to a more transparent sales model.
I really wanted to see how far you can push URP on the high end to decide between it and HDRP for my next project, this is perfect.
it's really good, please create a tutorial for mesh generation
up
😊 What kind of mesh would you like to generate? Or do you mean cover it kinda broadly?
@@HomeMech I have to start from scratch to learn any tye of mesh generation 😀

I'm enjoying the URP examples, but I'm experiencing some issues in VR with terminal screens rendering over other scenes. Is there a known workaround for this, or is it planned to be addressed in a future update?
Amazing video! 👏 Just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know about my new game, Light Jump, now available on the Play Store! It's all about tackling exciting challenges and enjoying addictive gameplay. Give it a try and see if you can conquer it! 🚀
Good stuff guys. The books you linked to seem to only be static landing pages and I dont see where to download the books on those pages. Anyone have any luck downloading?
good work unity
Nice thank you!
I wonder what would be the best way to create a nearly realistic Forest for Standalone VR. Does somebody have experience with that or can recommend an Asset?
Unity needs to implements screen space reflection and auto exposure override for urp. Most needed. Auto exposure will be better than switching volume I guess. Much more simple.
HDRP?
@@impheris talked about urp
Nice 👍
no gloss / roughness on the decal shader?
unity!
You have an error, this error is that I forgot my password so I went to "forgot your password" and I entered my email but Unity doesn't send the confirmation email to my email.
can you fix this?
I started this with an older version Unity version and got hit with a bunch of red lines in the editor and errors when opening the project, this can easily be fixed by downloading the matching Unity version but it still might scare any new users away...
Links to the E-books are broken?
Thanks for sharing, there's an issue with Safari at the moment, could you please try with Chrome or another browser? to see if you can download the 2 ebooks? thanks
Thanks for the response. I was able to download from my phone. Initially I tried with Chrome on my pc and kept getting a 404 error.
I hope its also fine from the desktop we tried and worked, maybe it was just a temporary error@@MQNGameDev
@@eduardooriz2715 It seems to be working fine for desktop now too...Thanks.
3:00 did you just say to use Deferred rendering on low end mobile?
Thanks for pointing that out, I should have clarified that the settings are in context of the multiple lights of this scene where regular forward rendering isn't feasible. It would have also been good to note that with deferred you can improve performance with each light that you remove from the scene.
please remove all instances of the runtime fee from your licenses and TOS
I wish you to have 1.000.000 $ revenue and 1.000.000 installations so you can pay 2.5%. Don't forget about 30% for Steam-like cut and publisher-like another ~20% cut. Even if you will have to pay 2.5% from 1.000.000 $ it will be whole 2.500$... damn... terrible times ahead....
How in Unity everything is shown again and again. It was supposed to come about 8 months ago after about a year of constant announcements and was postponed again for a few months.
it dont download now,why
the URP sample or ebook?
Congratulations. Unity, remember that you have a huge market in stylized, console, pc, and OA games. Don't pretend to cover cinema or compete with Unreal, that doesn't make sense. Embrace Nintendo's philosophy: "Style is more important than realism."
wo nice videos thanks
but The lighting outside the tent and inside the tent looks so different it should be improved
Can I use this in 2022? Or is it just for 2023? Because i’m on the latest 2022 LTS and i don’t see these new features
he says in the video...
This gender neutral voiceover is astonishing 😍

I think it's intentional...

Outdoor and indoor exposure for eyes: i don't like that the outdoor scene is over brighten while stepping inside the volume.... Perhaps it's possible to calculate the sky area is visible and ray trace if there is anything between the eye and sun by 4 rays.. then use the inverted shadow and raise light of this areas only and the rest of the scene slightly.. but prevent to over expose the rest of the scene where's Shadow map values are below N.
i hate your company.
yalls stocks r j depressing.
The failure of Gigaya shows that you are not capable of supporting the development of a large game (demo). Games like Genshin Impact prove the potential of Unity.
Therefore, attracting or guiding new users/learner through such small tutorials/samples may be a more suitable path for you.
What potential? Genshin impact is part of the CCP and full of spyware.
I don't care about any of it. I have already switched to UE and I'm not going back. I love my new engine and this URP or whatever is not even close to its capabilities. And frankly the amount of work that I need to put to make my scene look great in UE is less then a half of what I had to put into the scene using Unity. You had your chance. Now it is time for other engines. Godbye Unity.
Good for you. As a game programmer student, Unity is much easier and more clear to use than UE5. Of course I need to use it more often to get better and it's not a bad engine, but Unity is great as well.
people are weird... for some reason you think this is an airport and you need to announce your departure... why?
@@impheris for the same reason you decided to add you dumb comment. True, people are weird.
thanks for your completely useless comment... Imagine caring about the engine enough to watch a video about it and then commenting that you dont care about it. You know what your problem is ? You hate that you switched to another engine because you thought Unity was done. But its not and its doing well and that frustrates you so you have to keep convincing yourself, that your engine switch was not a mistake.
@@denny7477 Hahahaha lol since when Unity is doing well ? Wait I know. You only live inside YT world so you probably do not watch anything else. Have you heard how many people Unity has fired ? Let me tell you. 1800. Is this ok ? And info in the agreement that they can change the payment policy at any time is this also ok? Haha go with Unity and try to upgrade the engine version having project in advanced state xD good luck with that
Thanks for sharing, I preferred more books or tutorials on writing URP shaderlab HLSL as the internet is full of shadergraph info but lacking URP shaderlab writing from scratch.
