Man’s instinct was on another level.
Truth!
Film study
He is a truly different breed
God told him what the offenses were doing
What about the play where he was DAHN in the C Gap?
Bruh, this dude comentated like if his life depended on it💯
amazing commentary ong
Felt like a movie damn
Those dislikes are from Pat McAfee’s burner accounts
Moses Devadass can u rly blame him tho?
Hey man Pat McAfee actually has a lot of respect for Troy Polamalu, he just didn’t like him during that one play lmao I bet it still gives him nightmares though
@@jarydjackson8531 he was joking bruh
@@jarydjackson8531 it’s not that serious buddy💀💀
@@carsonmcneal5718 he was joking but it just went over your head
He was a beast at USC and he was a beast in Pittsburgh. Has there ever been a quieter retirement of an all-time great than Troy Polamalu? My favorite play is when he ran over his former USC roommate--Carson Palmer--for a touchdown after a turnover. I loved this guy...and I'm a Cowboys fan.
I watched Troy play at Douglas High School in Winston Oregon. He played offense and defense and was on the field for the entire game. One time Douglas lost the football in a fumble, Palamalu stayed on the field as Douglas went on Defense. Next play when the pileup climbed apart Troy had the football, Douglas was back on offense.
Lions regretting their decision for trading him, but that's a good thing because they didn't see potential in him but the Steeler Nation did!
@@johnnyson7474 I don't understand the Detroit connection. What do they have to do with Polamalu?
All that destruction, with a humble and quiet voice
43# changed the way a safety can play he was the LT of safeties. Great hands, great leader, A good person . Steelers pride!
2:28... I have literally been searching for this play for over a decade... I can't believe you have this. This is the play that defined Troy as one of the greats... And this was so early in his career!
I couldn’t agree more.. honestly he had so many more great plays
He already know the c gap
Best safety of all time🔥🔥🔥
Nah, that’s Ronnie Lott imo, but one of the greatest for sure.
Brett Derrenbacher 2 of the best safteys are I’m the division Ed Reed and Troy
It’s Ed Reed. But Troy is 2nd
Ed reed
bro we see your profile pic lol
That is why I was a fan of Troy Polumalu and the Steelers, the man could fly, had clean tackles played with respect with his team and opposing team, it was awesome to see him play
The fact that you point out "clean tackles" in what used to be one of U.S. sport's most violent games. Let's us know the NFL is on life support, it will be co-ed or touch football pretty soon. 👀🤣😂
@@1delta_10tangos clean tackles means going to the waist wrapping up both legs by the hamstrings, not that bullshit lowering your shoulder and not get hurdled, or tackling with your head
Samoan tackling #1
That INT return for a TD against the Ravens to send them to the Super Bowl 😍😍
Don’t forget that year Brady got hurt week 1 and u won’t get to see the steelers this year
I mean thats just the ultimate
@@travisstoudt8723 Your comment didnt age well. Steelers 10-0
@@outdoorfanatics4596 yes it did same old browns lol
@@christian-lf2oc browns are the browns tho
Troy was the GOAT on Defense
I really can’t define what I just watched. I’m just glad I was able to see him play. What a true talent.
Y’all don’t understand how amazing it was being able to watch him every Sunday as a steeler fan growing up I wish the Steelers would’ve gave him another chance an offseason to get healthy and play one more season
At least we have T.J now to be our new dominate defensive beast.
@@dafuzzbear7711 :(
Didn’t even review his best play
Lining up in the c gap
He deserves to be in the hall of fame
Didn't get get in this year
@@taylor860gang ikrczcams.com/video/sdo5p3NbVZM/video.html
He is in the HOF
He got inducted with Edgerrin James.
He’s first ballot dog what u sayin
Top 3 safety of all time and still one of the most humble and kind guys you could ever meet.
Best safety ever to line up in the C gap.
Only second to Lott for me!
Watching a true legend play the game was nothing less than special. The spectacular play was the usual for #43 it just seemed he was playing a different game
When he made the goal-line stop against the Titans by perfectly timing a dive over the O-line and taking Collins down before the QB sneak even got going, I remember someone commenting that Troy was so good at making the impossible look routine that the other Steelers defenders didn't even look that impressed.
Been to alot of games at Three RIvers and Heinz Field, never heard it as loud when Troy intercepted Flacco in championship game. Great moment
Like lining up on the c gap
My favorite defensive player of all time. There's Ed Reed as well. But this dude was a different breed a different animal. Legendary and a blessing to watch him play 💯🔥
Man was a legend in his prime
Cap he was a legend all the time
Of course he would be he was the third best safety of all time
Facts but an all time legend 💯
@@aroundonefern Who you got for the first 2?
@UCIihw2l6O1vGylHvk5bHFPg I respect that. I'd probably put him, Night Train Lane, and (possibly) Ed Reed above Troy, tbh.
Perfect saying, he flowed like water, he was like an artist on the field....
What a legend. Only get one like him every so often
Pure instincts. Scary.
Love love this! Thanks Baldy
Damn Troy Polamalu was an artist💯 haven’t seen anyone as entertaining and talented as him except Ed reed
Nobody:
Pat McAfee: Poh lah mah loo
It's a reference to this: czcams.com/video/se8ABHcq8g4/video.html
Pohlahmahloo bro!
I like his play in the 2005 playoffs vs Denver when he splits his way through 2 blockers to make a tackle on the ball carrier
Great video and commentary!! The best free safety that ever played!
Amazing analysis of an incredible player.
My favorite is when he anticipated the snap count and did the superman and jumped over the o line and sacked the qb.
@SQUAD My bad bro...I'm thinking of the Titans I believe Kerry Collins was the QB. But Troy was airborne before the ball was snapped he timed that ultra perfectly.
He sacked the QB on a run play
@@AntKart 💯💯💯
I think his best play is where he was in that god damn c gap stealing pat McAfee‘s 100 percenter tuddy
and robbed the the world of what would of been a hilarious td celebration
Gilbert v eat your cereal
@@aceofspades1083 I just finished eating a bowl of corn pops
Dudes explosiveness and timing was crazy. Good stuff.
outstanding man. cheers
My favorite team All Time! No one has ever done what Troy did! He could do it all. So many great memories as a Steeler fan was a Troy big play! 🖤💛🖤💛
Legendary. Simply put.
What a beast!! Respect
Baldy I love you buddy. I can sense the passion we all love football. I miss it. Keep it coming Baldy.
Dude, as a die hard steeler fan I have to tell you the narration of this video is amazing. Most football videos have stupid music in them, but you do an amazing job with narration. I would watch every video that you narrate every day all day.
The one handed diving catch vs San Diego was amazing. Troy instinct we’re crazy good he is in all words a true Steelers!!!
Baldy got me HYPED watching this!!!
The play with the screen and gettin hit was incredible! Insane body control
As a steelers fan, always brings a smile to my face to see Polamalu
Back when The steelers were a defensive factory. Now they’re a receivers factory. 👀
Well their receivers will do absolutely nothing this year literally
Not sure if you know this but the Steelers defense has been a lot better than their receiving core. It’s been like that since ab left stupid.
@@travisstoudt8723 you should've wait 4 months to make this comment
what did you say?
@@travisstoudt8723 just wondering through the comments and found this... didnt age well
I think these last few plays your showing give him that slight edge on ed Reed but both are beyond legendary!
Beast! And still underrated!
World class talent, world class class! Simply the best!
Well presented that's why his my all time player in the NFL.
He was such a monster
Surprised week 1 superman against the Titans wasn't in here. Or that interception when the ball was an inch from the ground.
Great commentary
What about the play where he was DAHN in the C Gap?
Wow that play against the Lions on the screen pass is absolutely incredible.
THE best tp ever play the position... he changed the position and how it was placed.
He was the only guy I worried about when my Ravens are facing ! him and reed are one of the greatest safeties I’ve ever watched
I am a huge Titans fan and you forgot about the Int and the goal line stop he did to us... pretty epic.
Excellent Tribute!
Always respect the C Gap 🙏
He was definitely a legend!
Remember he saved a touchdown on a running play two offensive lineman headed towards him and he still somehow makes the tackle. Crazy. Against the Broncos
As a Ravens fan, watching this gave me PTSD.
The one on Ed reed gave me a Steelers fan ptsd too🤣
Those were some great games in the 2000s
I got into football because of Ronnie Lott. I loved playing safety in High School. Watching Ed Reed & Troy play was sublime to me.
I saw Troy Polumalu on liberty street in Pittsburgh and at Latrobe , he wasn't all that big which makes it more unbelievable. He earn this Honor. One of the Greatest Defenders ever.
I got goosebumps watching this
Straight legend
2:40 - Polamalu had a lot of impressive plays in his career, and maybe not the biggest play, but I think this is one of his finest.
Troy Polamalu phenomenal to watch they'll never ever be another one! Troy, Ray Lewis, & Lawrence Taylor the only three defensive players that when they're on the field I watch them forget about the opposing quarterback and offense lol!
& There could also be a 20-minute highlight reel of his 'BARELY MISSED HUMONGOUS PLAYS' true story!!
Troy had a feeling for the game, just knew where to be and what the offense was about to do, INSTINCT
SO MUCH LOVE FROM 412 FOR THE GOAT
He is my favorite player ever
hard to compare him to anyone else especially in the box glad to see him get in the hall on the first look
Had the hit power like Dawkins but the coverage skills like reed
One of the best
Amazing play by Troy when he picked flacco. I was watching that game live and I'll never forget it. Rookie mistake by flacco though. When Troy's on the field you never stare down a receiver cause he'll make you pay.
Troy Polamalu is the 🐐. Great video from Baldy!!! Go Steelers!
A legend
Who can forget the 'hair flying. That's all u can see when he was out there flying in for tackles. Dude was great
Looking back at the plays Troy made, Jamal Adams kind of reminds me of him.
Intelligence speed and power. He truly played free of mind.
That interception agains the Colts at 2:16 was (unbelievably) ruled an incomplete pass.
Great job on my favorite player!! Lmao I have his jersey on as I am watching today
Somebody give this commentator an Emmy please
GREATEST OF ALL TIME.
Watching him on tv with that narrow view all you see is him flying in from off screen making the tackle
What a legend
Legend indeed.
Friday ngt - February 11, 2022.
Best Steeler ever without a doubt and one of the best defensive players to ever do it. A true game changer
That was just a small sample of his great plays. Congrats 43!!!
One of my favorite Pittsburgh Steelers ever
Troy wasn’t a defensive player or a strong safety or a FS. He was the definition a Football player👏🏾🏈
Troy is the reason why I'm a Steelers fan!!
He was always in his prime even up to his last game.
Number 43 and number 58 are my all time favorites! 😎👍👍
Love this
He was so good it was a no brainer when he when tin the hall of fame
Epic!
He could play so many positions and essentially be positionless on the field because he was so smart, he knew what the offense was going to do and he had the freedom to go out there and make it happen. That and he has probably the greatest instincts of anyone that’s ever played ball.
Troy was a case where yea, other players at his position all time and even in his time (ed reed😒) had better numbers. But like a Lynn Swann, you had to watch him play. No one else like him.
Legend
One of those Dfenses you gotta show respect for becouse they made good Superbowl runs as a unit. like LOB with seattle ☝🙏. Ferror,Harrison,Palomalu,IKE. They had Ballers.
This is the video that shows you why he’s the greatest safety of all time
