This scooter is so practical & fun to ride. Mine was inspected one day after yours by same person (Thanks Violet) :) I mention in my video that the scooter is in single motor mode when set to Eco cause I had trouble climbing a minor incline but In Comfort & sport No problem. Great video! Cheers! 🙂
Yes indeed amazing product and so far I had no issues with the brand. I think they are doing fine.
Great review! Because of this, I ended up getting a City Pro yesterday. I have it set up. Now I just need to test it out. I can't wait!
Let us know how you like it when u get it.
@ElectricVehicleSpace Update:
Today's test was really good. I did about 20 miles today.
For reference, im 5, 9, 185lbs. My City Pro is adjusted as:
Eco- 15mph
Comfort- 25
Sport- 30
Regen/Acceleration -- 2 notches above stock settings.
At the end of my ride, I ended up at about 43% battery left. For the most part, I was riding conservatively at 15 mph. The ride is comfortable, and the shocks work very well. It's definitely not an off- road scoot. I'd recommend staying off hash rough terrain. Some light grassy/ packed trails are the most I'd go on this. Any significant bumps, you're definitely going to feel on this. The deck is a little small for my feet size. (I wear size 10.5 shoe for reference), but it's nothing that made the ride uncomfortable for me. The regen brakes work pretty well. I used this more than the actual mechanical brakes. The tires are very nice as well. I did not experience any air leaks or broken seals. It feels light to me , I live on the 3rd floor of an Apt, and I don't have any trouble carrying it up/ down. The motors are very quiet! While on the riding paths, I would have to pass a few people, and none of them knew I was there until I asked to move past them. I think that is my favorite thing about the City Pro. The turn signals are bright, too. I can see them clear in the day light, I went for a ride at about 3 pm to 5 pm. The sun was still out high at the time, here in TX.
The things I dislike,
The drum breaks require a little more grip than hydraulic ones. Obviously, due to the way they are constructed. It's not a deal breaker, just something I noticed. The point is that they work. So that's cool
Also, while in Eco mode, I noticed that the lights automatically turn on, as well as the break light flashing. I am unable to turn off the lights while in Eco mode. (I've tried to, both on the scooter and app.) I'm unsure if this was done on purpose by Apollo or if my unit was programmed wrong. If anyone has the same thing issue with their City Pro, please let me know in the comments, and also, how to turn the lights off on Eco mode. The other modes work fine as well as the ability to turn the lights on and off.
I hope this update helps anyone with their decision on getting a City Pro 🤙🏽
whats your 3 week review???
@roberttaylor5559 everything is still the same from the last post. I did another 20 miles and got the same results. The deck is small. So I do notice fatigue and discomfort in my feet while riding. But I still love it..
@@andrewbarratachea Thank you for your feedback.
Jesus Christ ! Dude came flying by you on that electric unicycle @6:30.
They will get hurt pretty soon with such speed and recklessness!
He was pretty far from me but the 360 exaggerated sound and visuals a bit.
I thought the same, but then the guy on roller skates blew past almost as fast! fish eye type lenses make things look faster.
Those unicycle maniacs are gunna be the death of legal PEV use. Already enough of them have caused so many accident in california that the regulations are flying off the shelves in a panic for ALL PEVs. As they say it's why we can't have nice things lol
great video super helpful hey where u get the helmet ??

Awesome review! Would you choose this over the Inmotion s1f?
Apollo is way better brand, probably top 10 brands in US. It is Canadian company that is strongly involved in US market. Inmotion is a Chinese company that will be difficult to deal if things go bad. I unboxed Inmotion RS and out of the box it was not working. Lots of issues after.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Thanks I appreciate that feedback.
I love my phantoms too much to change lol. But where can I get a helmet like that?
I just bought this last week, super fun scooter, great value.
For an IPx6 commuter which is your favorite? Mukuta 9 plus, Punk Rider pro, or Apollo City pro?
Punk rider PRO
You have a fantastic collection of scooters. Do you sell any after a test?
I have couple...email me at vitalie_vizitiu@yahoo.com
@@ElectricVehicleSpacewhat city is this? Looks like a nice city to ride in.great review thanks.
Thought you were going to review the all new Apollo Go!
Apollo City Pro is already well-established and reviewed but arguably less technologically advanced than the Go.
Try fitting the City's handlebars through the subway turnstiles and it will be a huge pain in the @$$! The Go easily fixes that issue!
Coming soon
Does anyone know when this scooter might come out? I want a City pro but i dont want the 2023 version
Use the link and you can order it.
I like that scooter an she's fast 😩
Yes + the excelleration is quick at 147 lbs-66.7Kg!!!😮🎉😂❤😅😊.
3 blocks very steep hill with good speed in 15 seconds! Walking up on the same hill is not easy.😢
I was really wanting Apollo to do some updates to the 2024 like on the Go. Phone as display, that cool stem light are on the less expensive Go.
💪
Is it gps to the scooter or your phone? I just ordered a city
U can use the app gps
what do you recommend apollo city vs punk ride pro?
Punk pro. More speed for me
Hello you tried so many every escooter brand and what escooter for you who good at specs build quality can handle big weight and shocks front and rear and battery? I want to buy but too many make me confused 😮
What speed and weight are you looking for?
@@ElectricVehicleSpace im 90kg++ but i want escoot who can use every roads too maybe 70-90 for speed bcz road in my city not smooth and so many uphill
Love your electric vehicle content! Especially interested in your take on electric scooters like the Apollo City 23. Haven't seen any new models from them for 2024 yet. you only really know if a scooter is good after using it for a while. I've had my Apollo City 23 for a month or two now. Had to replace the controller due to error codes E4 or E3, and the rear fender broke after some city rides in Chicago. Been waiting for a replacement fender since November 23, it's now March 2024. I don’t mean to be negative about this company or this scooter but I wouldn’t recommend it. The rear finder with the rear light cord underneath the fender and the wheel if broken or damaged the scooter doesn’t work and can’t be turned on. SMH !
Have you reached out to Apollo and get support?
Hi @DariusAVOiTech - we’re sorry to hear about your fender breaking off. We’re looking into the delay of your fender and will get back to you shortly.
As we mentioned to all potential customers, there always will be maintenance and repairs to be done on scooters, seeing as they’re still a new technology, and it’s why the support and warranty is so important (sending over a controller straight away, and giving a free headlight due to the fender delays). Understand that it’s still frustrating for the delay of parts of course, will take care of this! Thanks
@ApolloScooters This is amazing 👏 Apollo Scooters thank you for the follow up.
I agree, I don't recommend Apollo anymore because it takes forever to get parts. I have a City Pro 2023 and I've been waiting 6 months for a new stem. Apollo support said it will arrive mid April. I just laugh at Apollo now. I've had 2 Apollo scooters and they weren't reliable. Since my city has been in the shop for the last 6 months I've bought another brand of scooter and it's so much better. Apollo marketing is really good though. 🤣🤣
@@ElectricVehicleSpace yes I’ve been in talks with Apollo through email with there support team since November 2023 I’m still waiting for a replacement part for a rear fender. I can tell Apollo cares, I’m just not so sure they can support supply and demand which will be a big problem for customer retention.
Hello brother, are you still riding the BajaBoard?
No it is in the garage but I should. That thing is too much fun that is missing in my life.
NICE
I would much prefer having that old school bell to the button horn. I think the horn button is awkwardly placed.
Yeah
do you have a list of gear you're wearing while riding? your helmet looks dope copying from the chat to get pings!
He has a link at the top in his Linktree he lists all his protective gear.
Kukirin G2 master 52v 20.8ah 2 x 1000W motors 950 Euro. Big competitor.
Quality wise they can't compare.
I feel like that Apollo city pro has been $1,599 for the pass 3-4 years. But it’s a very nice scooter
It was 1799
@@ElectricVehicleSpace it’s either 1799 or on sale for 1599.
Nice review. What brand is that helmet?

I’ll be the whistleblower on this company. They make really bad scooters if the Apollo Air 2023 is anything to go by. Touted as being IP66 rated, yet water easily gets into where battery is, you have to tilt it up to drain all the water out if you ride it in light rain, I took bottom panels off to discover battery had water damage, and a heap of dirt and muck was cleaned out. Also that screw panel on frame, above front swing arm, which is also on the City, mine come off, fell off while riding! Water had also gotten in there and wet the wires that are in there. Thankfully no exposed plugs I could see, but it would have run into bottom deck no doubt. That’s not waterproof, then my scooter turned off and on by itself. Every 5 minutes! I had owned it 2 months and only put 200kilometres on it! Message Apollo to hear nothing back! They don’t stand behind their product. Don’t believe the hype about these scooters. There’s a reason they shared all those how to fix videos on these scooters. They will need constant repairs through the life of the scooter. Which my one was very short! I’m counting the loss of $1000.00 and going back to Ninebot Max as my commuter!
2024 or 2023 because this look like the same one I got and it’s 2023 and I got it in January of this year. Pretty sure that’s the 2023 even says so in the specs you showed on your video
This should be 2024 version but with all these updates it's getting so confusing
@@ElectricVehicleSpacein your video when you showed the specs it says 2023, pretty sure the 2024 doesn’t come out till fall
@thesilvertinmangaming677 this is the version I got beginning of 2024 and you can buy now.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace yeah that’s the 2023 the 2024 isn’t out yet till fall. I got mine January 2024 too and it’s the 2023 witch was released in October-November of 2023
@@ElectricVehicleSpace you should change your title to this video. It’s misleading because this is the 2023 version not the 2024 the 2024 has a different kickstand. That’s one way to tell that this is the 2023
Biggest problem with this scooter is the tires. They get flats despite being puncture proof and they are near impossible to change. Even the bike shop I brought it to couldn't get it back on.
I did not get any flats so far.
@@ElectricVehicleSpace Pray you don't.
I can’t do any of those advanced setting on my 2024 city …
Email the brand and upgrade.
I agree especially for the horn. Come on. Having to pay 40$ extra for that, and scrapping the minimalistic and clean asthetic for that, ... no thanks. But I ordered the horn. It's a safety issue.
yes indeed.
The phone rack just scrapped the paint on my handle bar. Didn't stay there. The caoutchouc tape just compressed and goes out on each side. That made the trottle stopping to go back in place after pressing it. Not great. Super nice but really not for that "square" and big handle bar. I regret scrapping the paint on day one because of that.
Unlock top speed in the app probably gain 2-3 mph
i did 37mph max but i get 30mph
Yea. Idid the same with the Apollo go and 27 mph was my max.
Hello everyone. I want to buy an electric scooter between 2000 and 3000 dollars that can have the following characteristics:
• Maximum speed 45 miles per hour stable
• Tubeless tires so you don’t have to deal with so many piles
• Regenerative brake
• Cruise mode
• That you can drive in the rain (It’s not that I want to do it but I live in Florida and sometimes it will be inevitable to do it to be able to go to work)
• Have a good autonomy with respect to the distance
• Good suspension and good brakes, preferably hydraulic
I would only use it to go down the street. I’m not interested in off-road tires
I have been looking at many options on the internet for a month and there is the RoadRunner RS 5 Max, the Yume Raptor, Apollo Phantom, Solar FF lite, Wolf Warrior Gt Pro and Nami not to mention that the internet is saturated with many other brands but I see that they say that Dualtron is the leading scooter brand in the world and I am interested in buying with 3 years of extended warranty to be able to have protection for 4 years because where I live I do not know an electric scooter mechanic. Any help you can offer me would be of great help to me. Have a good afternoon.
The Display still crap.Apollo has to Upgrade the Display in Future.something big like Varla Eagle one has
I'm using the cellphone as the screen and it's perfect
The Apollo app is terrible, it would always disconnect from my city pro. I gave up using the app.
City pro brakes are pretty horrible and overpriced imo
Regen compensates
I must say for a person with all the technology in the world for video recording youtube videos ....
You should have some kind of mic filter to shut off the goddamn wind noise or filter that shit off so we the viewer do not have to listen to that shit over your voice .....
I am just saying......... I kow i am not the only person who dislikes the wind noise.......
I had on the mic but it was super windy. You saw it at the beginning of the video.
🤔 are we really looking at drum brakes? No thank you
And brakes are terrible imo
Ohh really hummm looking at getting this one.😊😮
@@CrazyCanadian5555 brakes are terrible
Loosen the brakes for longer travel & it's more powerful. 😅
They are just backup brakes. You will use the electronic brake 99% of the time. But honestly, for a water proof commuter scooter, having the brakes sealed is one more maintenance issue you don't have to deal with. Also no bleeding.
