- Sonic Triple Trouble 16-bit is a new fan-made Sonic release that's a Sonic Triple Trouble Remake. Y'know, the Game Gear game, but now in a Sega Genesis (well, maybe more so Sonic Mania) style! And it's a Sonic fangame to boot! So today on Stuff We Play, let's take a look at this new fanmade Sonic Triple Trouble remake!

Wish there was an option for sonic 1 sprite. But honestly this is god tier content and the world loves Noah forevermore!

I’ve always been fascinated at handheld side games such as the 8-Bit Sonic games, the Game Boy Mega Man games and the GBA and Wonderswan Klonoa games.
This and Freedom Planet 2 are amazing! Period!
You forgot to mention that Dr. Robotnik/Eggman taking one of the emeralds is also yet another accurate twist with the original since in the Game Gear version there was only six to collect for some reason, so him taking it here actually makes more sense while also keeping that fact consistent.
Also, the other Metal Sonic forms are references to other classic games. The jet transformer one of a reference to Rocket Metal in Sonic the Fighters, and the second and final ones are designs from Sonic X-treme. All of them are technically different characters like Mecha Sonic is, but it’s still nice to see that he harnesses his powers to turn into them. It kinda reminds me of how Team Hooligan was also used as transformations in Sonic Mania.
I'm really impressed how this game looks and the amount of depth for a fan made project.
I absolutely love this game. I’m blown away by how consistently good it is all the way through. It’s the first Sonic game where I can legitimately say I love EVERY zone. There’s no “annoying” zone that I don’t like. Even all the bonus levels are fun which has never happened to me before on any other Sonic level.
Gotta stream this one night, been waiting for the remakes release for ages

Sonic 4 episode 2 gives you team up abilities similar to sonic advance 3. It doesn't actually let you swap between them on the fly. You are probably thinking of sonic classic heroes.
Fair enough! I just vaguely remembered Tails hoisting Sonic up at a few points there haha

I did a full play-through of this game got all chaos emeralds in first try really fun game I recommend to play.

Correction for the story although knuckles story begins before that of sonic and tails sonic and tails are actually ahead of knuckles until after the tidal plant boss where sonic and tails just went off to chase metal sonic which eggman then warps knuckles to atomic destroyer which at this point in time knuckles is ahead of sonic and tails.

This game has a toggle for aspect ratio and is actually intended to be 4:3 by the creator.
