This episode was broadcast on Channel 2 in New Zealand in April 1993 where the series played early on Sunday evenings. TVNZ, famous for making cuts to foreign programmes to make them fit to time, in this instance didn't even bother to remove the irrelevant on-screen voting information.
Watch for an unusual bit of dialogue replacement at 2'10. I wonder what word they couldn't say - outside the UK at least.
(Thanks to 97channel in the comments - the word is "Gotcha Oscar")
There's a short break around 20 minutes in due to a transmitter interruption.
This episode is from the middle of the first series, originally broadcast at 1750 on BBC1, just after an episode of the gameshow 'One to Win'. It was followed by Big Break.

Ahhhhh, Glorious Saturday evenings as a kid in the 90s. They don't make it like this anymore.
My childhood memories!! Loved this programme. I specifically remember this episode as I watched while staying at my godmother's that night
The replaced dialogue at 02:10 is "Gotcha Oscar". They had to change the name of the feature to simply "Gotcha", after the film academy took objection to the unlicensed use of the word Oscar. The award statue had to be altered too. The BBC had to edit out the word Oscar from repeats. Later in years, they even had to blur the Oscar-like statue.
There’s another edit around the 35 min mark, which looking at the full show on Andy’s channel is another mention of the “O” word.
How bloody stupid and petty.
Absolutely brilliant entertainment.
Class noel is, I miss this on Saturday night great times xx
Noel Edmonds in 1992 sound like Alan Partridge mixed with how people used to speak in black and white films..can't believe this is only 28 yrs ago!!
They had to stop using the word "Oscar" which is why they just became known as "Gotchas". I'm guessing that's why "Oscar" became "Award" at 2m 10s
Given the Channel 2 ident at the start of the video, this looks like it was taped in NZ.
Yes, it's written in the description.
As soon as I written that, I read the description. lol@@freemanoYT
Rip richard whitely
Just like watching Alan Patridge.

I wouldn't want to be gunged if I was wearing formal clothing.
I thought Noel's House Party was live?
SimpsonsClips24 It was.
Then how come it was shown on New Zealand TV?
This was a rerun from more than a year later than the live show
SimpsonsClips24 Alright Trig.

A bit like beadles about but gotta love the gotchas. Nicholas Parsons really lost his cool here. Hard to believe it was 26 years ago. Seems like yesterday
Absolute trash, which I realised even as a kid.
Terrible Cringe Fest we never watched this in our house we couldn't stand him.
This was the biggest load of crap on a Saturday night, total rubbish
