    I'm quite livid about this video. Most of the people offering thier opinion on this video were not fit to stand next to him. Noel was and is well loved by very many people. I miss seeing him on telly... He is such a far superior personality to all of them. I believe that Noels' Christmas shows were done with genuine intentions... so crass of anyone who implied otherwise. I met him once at a club at Longleat... He was fantastic to me and a great laugh...we sat and had a chat after the show...He was a very genuine and lovely guy. I don't understand why people have jumped on this stupid and destructive bandwagon...and the likes of Jim Reeves and Bob Mortimer rode on his coat tails.. inventing a mickey taking strand on him to further thier own careers. I really don't care for that kind of stuff...they deserve to have some young bucks do it to them.... see how they like having thier future destroyed by a couple of unknown idiots. Noel is a genuine man and deserves to be respected so much more for the brilliant stuff he did.

      Well said! A few bad eggs have stained the charterers of so many innocent popular TV personalities!
      People are media vampires, they suck up everything that people like Noel gift the world, then have to go cold turkey when their heroes are no longer feeding them, love turns to disappointment, to resentment and ultimately to hate!
      Perfect example;
      I have it on extremely good authority, that when Rod Hull met his untimely end, Emu was having having lunch with a young Keith Harris across town!
      But where is Emu now? He's never been seen in public again! While the role went to a Green duck wearing a nappy!
      I HATE THAT DUCK!

      I'm pretty sure this was very much a satire documentry. As in the facts are true, but they also edit it to be a scandle piece while also putting the stereotipical beats in, but editing those bits in such a way to let the watcher in on the joke. Eg introducing someone as a "straight talking TV critic". or having the person say that he got extremely angry and it was too bad for TV and the tapes were lost only to say that they brought them online and he was laughing along mildly. It had a very Brass Eye feel to it or other popular mock documentries at the time. It even paid tribute to his work with gotta ya lines and bits and especially for the whole piece leading up to a super hit piece at the end only for it to hit you with, now hes fighting for animal rights and, opposite to many people with carrers dying and them going into drugs and drinkings, hes living a peacful retirement. The whole thing is just screaming satire, good old deadpan humour and paying tribute to a branch of comedy he infulenced.

    Edmonds said in 2008 that he is constantly accompanied by two melon-sized "spiritual energy" balls, which appear over his shoulders and which he believes to be the spirits of his dead parents. "Orbs are little bundles of positive energy and they think they can move between 500 and 1,000 miles per hour," according to Edmonds. "They look like little round planets but they come in all shapes and sizes." He has asserted that the orbs appear only on digital photographs.

      Coogan, Iannuci & co may well deny it, but a lot of Alan Partridge's character has definitely been influenced by this narcissistic self absorbed clown.
      John Peel once worked on the LLBS as a reporter for those irresponsible stunts and the Santa Pod event with the car jump convinced Peel that his time was up. One car missed where it was planned to land & ended up feet away from JP. His wife Sheila was worried sick, meanwhile Edmonds is making light about the incident live on television.
      Next time you have a mass of red tape to deal with regarding getting insurance for doing something which involves excessive health and safety measures, remember it was Noel's idiots who helped indirectly to reinforce and establish that "Health and Safety Gone Mad" culture after the Michael Lush incident.
