Yeah that's pretty cool. I can see how it's challenging to learn. I struggle with most fighting games so it's refreshing to see a tutorial like that from a channel I frequent
I heard it was pretty mediocre for the time, but some game reviewers gave it good marks, like an 8.7 out of 10 from IGN. I just mentioned it because it was a Chinese-themed fighting game and featured damage effects like cuts and ripped clothing. Fairly graphic stuff that took advantage of the Xbox's graphical power. I don't know if you'd even heard of it back in the day.
It tickles my King/Jaycee team to death to see this comment section. So much love for this old game, even when it is looked down upon heavily by the fighting game community. I've been digging these Tekken playthroughs, not because you're especially good at it, but because your raging is hilarious. Plus, you describe some of the basic changes and differences between the Tekken games. With your audience, I'm sure they're not super familiar with what this game has going on. Imo, if you're a Tekken fan, this is the best one. The roster's massive and the gameplay is so fun. It can be a little broken at higher tiers of play, but it's still worth trying if you're a fan of the series.
We used to invite family friends to play this game with 4 people. I was very young when this game came out but I was practically a god with yoshimitsu, whenever my tag-mate was in trouble, they would tag me in and I would mop the floor with the other team

I've always had an affinity for Dragonuv and Miguel but I could never learn how to play as Miguel, the only moves I can pull of are his simple strong punches and pushes and shit, never a fully fledged combo. Got any tips GSTAR?
Yea I find him a bit tough to use myself. It's all about trying to get launchers going, so you can do combos or tag combos/ assaults. With Miguel I like his simple hop kick D F + 4 - after that you can get some nice combos going. Or you can use his D F + 2, 1 launcher, that's pretty good too. Lots of his really good moves come from his savage stance, so try do moves/combos that end up in his savage stance. Other than that, just practice :)
Yea it is dead. I would love to play some online matches of this. Are you in Aus though? If I play people from the US, Europe etc I get horrific unplayable lag.

I personally prefer playing fighting games on the PS3 as I like the D-Pad better. But either way, it's still the same game. You'll have fun with this game, it's a blast.

Yeah, the PlayStation D-pad is definitely better suited to fighting games than that of the Xbox (I think its the connected corners of the XB D-pad that fucks things up, whereas the PS controller has all separate directional arrows). I came to that conclusion long ago from playing lots of Mortal Kombat on both consoles. Alright, I suppose I'll pick this up on PS3 (I'm also interested in the Hybrid Disk to get TTT1). Tekken's always been difficult for me to really get into, as it feels so different from my favorite fighting game, MK. You say you're no tournament player, but the combos you pull off leave me SMH. I can combo all day on MK,but with Tekken its the struggle.
