  • This video represents the first in an ongoing series of case studies.
My favourite card routine of all time is Triumph. It was created by Dai Vernon and first published in Stars of Magic.
This routine is a perfectly designed composition. I encourage all of you to read Stars of Magic and study day Vernon exquisite handling.
this routine has all the conviction it needs. It’s taken me half my life to fully appreciate all the subtleties of nuances that makes this routine a masterpiece of sleight of hand card magic. I hope you enjoy my video. Please leave a comment and if there’s any routine that you would like to see me talk about or give a case study on.

Thank you all for your kind feedback. In sharing this case study, I would like you all to think about why this effect is so powerful. Study the version in Stars of Magic. Dai Vernon gave us a solid masterpiece. This routine is so well designed, it took me half life to full appreciate why Vernon’s handling is the absolute best. It doesn’t need any further improvement. The wonderful addition by Daryl is perfect finesse that adds the final touch of conviction just before the big finish. Nothing more needs to be added. One more thing, spread the deck facedown and spread slowly so every card can be seen. You will experience a beautiful reaction from your audience. Good luck. Stay tuned for another classic routine Case Study.

Beautiful Triumph. And I see that you're using the Daryl's Triumph display. I love it and I think it's a wonderful addition to an already breathtaking piece of magic.

That is a classic. My favorite variation to perform is Fast Company by Darwin Ortiz.

      Hi Jim,
I’m so delighted to read this. Fast Company is my all time favorite routine to perform for people. In my opinion it has been sorely overlooked by the magic community at large.

I think that Triumph is one of the best card trick to perform. It is both clear and convincing.

You should wear a mic Michael instead of relying on the camera mic. I think it will greatly increase the quality of the audio in your videos.

Beautiful. I would love to see you do this in person. I’m magic but not a magician but I must say that your rapport, easy convo, flawless execution is absolutely wonderful to behold. Many a magi could learn not just lovely magic but they could also learn the art of conversation & making the special connection with their audience which makes the entire experience so special if they would have you as their guide. Super Spectacular Mr. Vincent.

    nice video, i love Triumph!
one trick i would love to see you do, but i dont know the name of it
it starts with just the 4 Aces in your hand, all of them face down. after grouping them, they are spread to reveal 1 has turned face up! its repeated of course until all 4 are face up.

Twisting The Aces is the routine. I will add this to my new Masterclass Series.

i finally found the video i've been looking for for years!
it looks like the trick i was thinking of is possibly a slight variant of the one you mentioned.
