- Mental Health for men is a hot topic right now.
The last three years of my life brought me in direct contact with the fragility of my own state of mind. I gave up my career to look after my beloved Mother. She suffered with Dementia and other complications.
Giving up my career while a huge disappointment turned out to be the greatest honor of my life. It didn't feel like it at the time. I was broken and distraught with the day to day realities of becoming a Carer / Care Giver.
This experience broke me emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.
In this video, I talk about my experience candidly and share my heartbreak along with the ray of hope that shined on me when I least expected it. This video is dedicated to all men who are suffering right now and afraid to talk. If you know someone who is suffering, share this video with them, I hope ti will be a ray of hope for them.

Everytime I hear you speak I always realize what a great human being you are❤ How openly you talk about such things and how you as a magician are able to express the joy you feel in Magic.. it’s just unique and I love it.
No one would ever watch Michael Vincent and think a failure. We watch and know we're watching a master. I've never practiced, I was never good but I was always interested in watching. I know what to look for and watch Michael closely. Every time I think "I see it." then realise what I see was ALSO a misdirection :) 8:42 see! Perfect example of a master.
You bring so much honesty and openness to us. I am very appreciative of these moments you share. Surround yourself with good people and enjoy your life. Words of wisdom that your Mom passed on are so true. The magic you present is truly incredible, but the person behind it connecting with us is a true gift.

Hi Michael, thanks for sharing this, it was incredibly moving. I have had quite a lot of mental health difficulties in the past and hearing someone of your stature advocate for mental health awareness is inspiring, particularly for us males.
I have recently gotten back into magic and sleight of hand having dabbled in it a bit when I was younger in between bouts of illness. You are one of the performers that have quickly become one of my go-to channels for inspiration and encouragement (along with another who I believe you work with). I hope to one day get your latest DVD and start learning some of the routines you include on it, particularly the Lie Detector one you shared recently.
