It’s always appalling to see women (or men) building so much resentment for the other person rather than for their partner, for whom the vast majority of anger should be directed at. No I’m not saying kill your partner. But I am saying you should deal with them and their infidelity rather than the person they cheated with. THEY betrayed your trust. The other person doesn’t even matter. Dump them and move on!!!
Exactly!! Why does he not carry the blame for lying to her while still carrying on some sort of clandestine relationship with Mo? He’s the one to blame, but he got away unscathed, unless you want to count the sponsors who pulled away from him. He’s 100% to blame for causing Kaitlin to feel jealous and manipulated.
I think that’s a misconception, that the woman or man hates the person their partner cheated with and not the partner themselves. It’s a projection of their hatred of their partner onto the person they cheated with. I think it’s a mutual hate thing, a pride issue, using that person to punish the person you actually hate (the partner) and ‘getting even’. Like, ‘you broke me so I’ll break you too,’ sort of mentality. Plus, I can see why someone would ‘hate’ the other woman or man. You are not only deeply betrayed by your partner but betrayed by a complete stranger in the worst way. And people have hated strangers for less.
I agree with you 100%!!! Not to mention, Mo Wilson was 9 years younger than Kaitlin! I also can’t understand how or why Kaitlyn would think murdering Mo would make her relationship with a cheater any better. It’s like these murderers don’t have the ability to think ahead. It’s just so sad for Mo & her family. 💔

@@Ms.Stephanie.C Oh I agree, I’m not defending her, but I believe even as a stranger you have a personal responsibility to treat other people with at least basic decency and respect, even if you don’t know them well. I had a married man once come onto me (I never reciprocated his advances), but even though I didn’t personally know his wife I could still picture her and how hurt she would be. I ended up finding her contact information and telling her what happened because I didn’t feel like it was right she was being lied to.
So I guess I’m a strong believer that everyone holds accountability for their actions. I could’ve easily said “I don’t know her, not like I’m the one married to her, might as well have some fun!” But what kind of person would that have made me? Saying I never made a vow to them so I hold no responsibility for acting cruelty to someone, stranger or not? So does that mean we as humans only hold responsibility to act kindly to people we know? Seems twisted.
And as I said, I think it’s a misconception that people who are cheated on hate the other man or other woman ‘more’, I think betrayal is just a very difficult feeling to process and naturally as humans we try to find something we can blame or punish to alleviate our pain. And focusing on hating the other woman or man may provide someone with that relief, other than having to look at the partner they’ve stared a bed with for years and swallow they’ve been unfaithful. It’s probably a way of avoiding more grief.
A cautionary tale. Just dump the cheater. It’s much easier.

Rory Triscuit, This certainly makes sense but there is something in us that often makes us want what we can't have. Often there is no logic in relationships and sex. When you get older, you look back on your life and see all the stupid stuff you did.

This is such a common relationship pattern these days! In my opinion, these people are not in love, but rather dependent.. or obssessed with someone. And they confuse that with "love". Love shouldn't hurt... It's a good principle to follow as far as I'm concerned! 😊. Thanks Dr Grande! 🙂

I believe it was her sister's passport - that is why she flew to meet up with her sister, then her sister had a new driver's licence issued ( as if she had lost her original one). Adding two and two together, it looks like she assumed the identity of her sister. That would make it easy for the feds to track her - she either flew on her own name or her sisters!!

My take is that Kaitlyn was not just envious of Mo’s relationship with her bf.
She was a competitive person, who saw Mo, who was at the top of her cycling “game” as threat to her sense of self.
She wasn’t so much concerned about Colin, as she was “ beating Mo “ at something.
I had this scenario with an former spouse where one of the ladies he cheated with seemed really caught up in making me envious rather than interested in my husband.
When she told me that, “ he would have to choose between us”
I told her, “ no he would not, because he no longer had me as an option. She could have him.
I found it really strange at the time, she just wanted to take something from me, rather than really caring about him.
This is the case with some women, especially that have issues with their mother.
After all, your mother is the first women in your life. If she turns you into a “competitor,” and not a child she is bonding with, I think this scenario happens.
Not saying this is the case here, I don’t know about their family dynamics, just saying that this type of relationship can lead to women constantly having to feel they are the more “ desirable” and the man actually is inconsequential.
This may explain why they don’t get angry at the man and focus on the rival. Someone trying to take someone or something from them, is the more upsetting event.

Great insights. Men can be fooled by these sorts of women. Men should not be cheating in the first place. But they should know that a passion-driven woman can deceive by flattery as her true passion is to humiliate and displace another woman. There are women who pride themselves on being marriage wreckers.
I truly believe this may have been the case. Mo was use to winning and would not listen to Kaitlin and ignored her existence. I believe that Chris Watts mistress was driven by taking Chris from his wife more than being in love with him. It’s a psycho game of win and lose. I think you nailed it on the mother-daughter competitive relationship.

There’s a reason for the term “crime of passion.” Obviously killing is wrong and the permanent solution to the temporary problem was a poor choice. However, if there are any reasons to kill some, betrayal in a love triangle would probably make the top five. 🤷♀️

When I found out that my significant other was seeing someone else, I thanked my lucky stars that I had found out before I did something stupid like getting married. I certainly wouldn't fight for a cheater, let the other gal have him.

These tragedies could usually be avoided were it not for the deceit. He did not pull the trigger nor does it lessen Kaitlin's culpability for her misplaced rage and coldblooded execution of Mo. But Colin's lack of integrity, commitment, and non-confrontational, conflict avoidant personality contributed to or set into motion this chain of events.

No one else can ever make you happy. I think that’s really what it is at the root of desperation like this that leads to murder. There’s nothing you can do sometimes, and you just have to let people go or be alone if aspects of the relationship are unbearable-like someone cheating on you. Sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. Maybe you’ll feel worse for a while, but in the end it will pay off

A sad loss of a Bright light. Prayers for all who knew Mo and her family. Colin is messy and Armstrong is really crazy and dangerous. It played out like a lifetime movie. Shock and sadness for mo gone too soon.

She travelled to New York to visit her sister and take her passport. She used her sisters passport to travel to Costa Rica.

He may or may not be guilty of cheating. He did not have anything to do with the murder. Katelyn is 100% responsible for her own actions.
He sure did try to back pedal-it is fairly obvious that Colin acted in ways to cause Kaitlin to feel humiliated and scorned. Colin was not honest with Kaitlin about his feelings for Moriah and contributed to this tragic ending. However, Kaitlin did commit murder. If she had just ended her relationship with Colin, all of this could have been avoided. Now Colin unfortunately goes free, Moriah is dead, and Kaitlin will spend her days in prison.

You’re right. Go after the one who promised to be faithful.
Sometimes they are the target. They are usually the target when the relationship is over and there is no hope of a reconciliation. Dorothy Stratton is an example of that. In this case, both parties wanted to maintain the relationship and I suspect she thought if she killed her rival there would be no threat to the relationship anymore. Killing him would bring an end to the relationship and she didn’t want to lose him, but she wanted the threat gone. She was too irrational to think through the fact that she would get caught which will ultimately end the relationship anyway.

The latest is that the passport was legal, but Armstrong's use of it was fraudulent. The passport photo looked much like Kaitlin. And she traveled under the name on the passport, "Christine". It is reasonable to assume that it was her sister's passport, as she lives in the New York area.
Also the police say the shell casing marks match Kaitlin's gun.
And when she was confronted by law enforcement in Costa Rica she responded when called "Kaitlin".
Shades of the arrest scene in the Great Escape: "Good Luck" (Gestapo).......oH, Thank You....OOPS.

Another great analysis. I think you're spot on, too. Love triangle murders are so awful, they destroy so many lives. You'd think people could develop some insight into these things from learning from others' mistakes, but so often they just don't.

These triangles never end well. When will these men learn not to toy with peoples’ feelings? I could give you a list of these situations, most recently Mark Girardot, whose wife killed his younger woman cheating partner in 2018 & then shot herself. Sherry Rasmussen was killed over a situation like this. Even Jodi Arias snapped because she was being played

Jealousy is a strong and complex emotion ("encompasses feelings ranging from suspicion to rage to fear to humiliation"). I had an experience with jealousy many years back and it's hard to convey how overwhelming and powerful and painful it is. It takes over your brain--talk about intrusive thoughts! Also, a person isn't just dishonest to keep both lovers--they may just be afraid to broach the difficult subject with their lover because they know how much it will hurt them. Maybe it is different between men and women. Breaking up with an abusive man is one of the most common contexts in which women are killed. I can see a man wanting to keep both lovers but a woman becoming too emotionally attached with a new person. Being "in love" causes a person to do irrational things just like an addiction to drugs - an evolutionary adaptation to keep a pair together for the time it takes a child to be born and become mobile, about 2-3 years. Of course, this is no excuse for murder, but if Kaitlin had other issues of self-esteem, envy of the other's abilities, trouble controlling emotions, she probably felt insane. I feel sorry for all involved. The boyfriend will forever carry a feeling of guilt that he caused one lover's death and the other to lose her life to imprisonment or worse. This is just a horrible story. In my first months of college, a woman was shot in the cafeteria by a man she had broken up with. He had mental health problems likely stemming from a head injury he had suffered, among other tendencies. He stalked her for some weeks before just walking into the cafeteria one morning, going to her table and shooting her point blank. He then went outside and sat down nearby and gave himself up to arrest. I had just arrived to class and sat down and a friend/classmate sat down and said "I just saw someone get killed in the cafeteria." He was in shock. We advised him to go back in case he might be needed as a witness. Love ("in love") and jealousy are truly like being temporarily insane by way of brain chemistry.
That sounds like a justification for a cheater. That they are dishonest because they don't want to hurt the person they are cheating on. If they cared that much, they wouldn't have been cheating in the first place. Have you ever cheated...had two "lovers"?

All the events in this case will lead back to Colin Strickland. The motive was money. The reason was in order for Colin to keep making money off his sponsors he had to be able to keep up with the competition and that was Moriah's demise. Kaitlin Armstrong - who was nabbed Wednesday at a hostel in Santa Teresa Beach - left behind two passports and a $6,350 receipt for cosmetic surgery, which a witness told Inside Edition was under “another name.”
The witness also said it looked like something happened to her face.
“[She had] a bandage on her nose and she had blood in her nostrils,” Zachary Paulsen told the outlet.
US federal officials said that Armstrong had altered her appearance when they found her and that she had a bandage on her nose and bruises under her eyes.
She had also cut short her hair and dyed it a darker shade of brown.

Don't cheat! Don't cover for a cheater. Call them out publicly, in church, at work or at the gym. If you want to be a narcissistic, serial cheater, there will be harsh consequences for your dopamine/oxytocin addiction.
I don't care what the "cheater" did. He didn't kill anyone. But he did buy two guns and in Texas, that's as easy as buying two gallons of milk. But of course, those guns were just meant for "protection" by "law-abiding citizens."
