      I just bought a 2008 G37S coupe been driving it for only a week, I love the thing. It came with 20 inch rims and akebono brakes, tastefully lowered with upgraded exhaust. Most newest and expensive car I ever bought @10.8k lol, last car was 1999 integra. I feel like I'm driving an exotic sometimes with the way people stare at it when I'm driving.

    Great video. The Analog clock in the interior was a design flaw, as you can't tell the time at night, and it doesn't illuminate. Peak torque/horsepower are at high revs, and it's heavy, so there's no push you back in your seat, g-force power, and it feels sluggish from a dig. Steering wheel feels heavy, at least to me. Bose audio sound system isn't bad. I thought it would have been premium quality, but it doesn't sound any more better than most car systems I've heard. Other than that, leather seats are comfortable, great handling, smooth ride, good looking exterior, and it's a performance bargain.

When I was looking in the used market it seemed that coups were about two for every sedan. I picked up my G in 2016 with 20K on it. I was not looking for an X in particular but it was almost impossible to find a RWD Journey sedan up north as most came well equipped off a lease. I’m seeing more and more VQ engine content showing up on CZcams, more and more big CZcamsrs are building up 370z and q50’s. I first fell in love with the G35 when my older sister got it, she didn’t keep it for long because it didn’t fit her developing family life. I just loved the way the car growled and looked nice, so now I have a G37 coupe (:

      Savage Panda Projects it’s crazy cause then I was “car shopping” I had a Subaru in mind but I couldn’t find the right one.... plus I was scared cause a lot of those cars are stepped on a little too much. Then I found the G37 and I did some power comparisons and bang for your buck with reliability and def this car is less complex being naturally aspirated ❤️.

    I have a 2011 G37x sedan, simple answer to the question is "yes". My car has been very reliable, so far it only required normal maintenance service including oil filter change, brake fluid change, air filter change and brakes and rotors change etc. The car is still running like new, the only thing that has gone wrong is the backlight of the clock on the dash went out. This car is fun to drive, it's safe. If you put snow tires on for Winter, it can take you to anywhere you want in the city. This is the best car for the money, even when it was new !

    Hard to decide, i love the G35 because of its square-ish rear end and sleek body design but most of the manual versions of the G35 are abused to hell and very rare to find ones in great condition. But i've been looking at the newer G's and they look amazing, i might start looking into buying one over a 370z.

    So I got a 2014 GT500 as my daily My GT500 is on E85 with bigger injectiors so you know it chugs the E85 like crazy after I paid off the Shelby I decided to get a daily I ended up buying a 2013 G37 sedan with onlyy 55,000 miles about 8 months ago, I was supposed to keep it stock but after a while I ended up getting the Z1Motersports 400+HP package made 445 at the crank on E85 lowered it on coil overs with the sport wheels kept it simple for that sleeper look, slapped on some Nittos and man let me tell you this car is fun!! I can't tell you how many times I've surprised muscle cars 😂 the look on there faces when a G37 sedan is pulling away from them, next I am looking to slap on a stillen supercharger hopefully once this quarantine shit is over but anyways in conclusion I can tell you that I have as much fun driving my G37 as I do driving my Shelby GT500

    I drive a G37 IPL, and am very pleased.
    Performance: my best 1/4 time is 14.4 seconds. The G has plenty of torque, but the final drive ratio is less than perfect for 1/4 mile times. The G shifts from 4th to 5th gear just before the finish line. So I am crossing the finish line at the bottom of the torque curve not the top.
    Automatic transmission: with 6 forward gears, the transmission is always “hunting” for the proper gear. The slightest change in road elevation, and the G will either up or down shift.
    Reliability is excellent. Other than routine maintenance such as tires and oil changes, I haven’t put a dime into the car.
    Summary: if you can find a used G37 IPL with less than 50,000 miles, get it. You will be please with the bang for your bucks.

If they could just get that powerful VR30 motor paired with a better trans I seriously think they would be a force to be reckoned with. And the car itself has a great sound system and excellent quality materials and style for the price. All my cars have been from japan, and I like the fact that they share parts (Infiniti/Nissan) and as my previous car, they are also easy to mantain. I am not sure everyone is being honest in the comments. I own a 2015 Infiniti q40, got it at 40k mile, now have 102k.
    Between 40k and 100k, everything was good, just regular maintenance and no problems.
    As soon as I crossed 100k, things started to fall apart. It all started with having to change the valve body in the transmission at 100k miles, because the car just wouldn’t accelerate past 40mph.
    Next the key fob stoped locking the doors and when I went to the dealership I was told that all door actuators have failed, how can all 4 door actuators fail at the same time ? And to fix it they want $3200.
    The engine in this car is bulletproof, no question about it. But the sensors and parts don’t last long as they age. Also the Infiniti dealership parts and prices are super expensive.
    Another common issue with these engines is the rattling sounds of the lifters , I’m sure y’all know what I am talking about , yet no one wants to mention that here.
    I know we all love the Infiniti , I do too, I think the car looks amazing and drives really sporty, BUT it’s quality can be improved .
    In all I still think it’s an okay car, but if I were to choose between this and a Lexus , I would definitely go with the Lexus.

But the other one is a 2010 G37 Convertible coupe with 88,000 miles for $13,999, it says theres been 3+ Owners and 14 Service History Records, but the paint and interior look absolutely stunning like it just got produced and still looks stock from all the pictures. I still have to see if it looks as good in person as it does in the pictures, but if everything checks out in person, what would you have to say about it? Do you think it would be a good deal, or too much for both? One of my friends has an 09 G37 coupe with over 100k miles (I think he got it just over 100K or just below it like last year) and the only things wrong with his was the a/c compressor going out (fixed now), an issue where i believe the spark plugs weren't sparking right and cause the car to enter limp mode sometimes (which is fixed now i believe), and he has something with his ABS system throwing a code that we think is because a sensor might be bad or if its not, since he bought it with it being in a light accident before, it could possibly have a short somewhere and hopefully not the computer.

      Great question! That car belongs to my buddy speed culture studios. Check out his channel he has tons of great Nissan/ Infiniti content. He is running a custom exhaust system. I know he made several videos breaking down the setup 👍

    I have put 130,000 miles on a then new 2012 G37x coupe with the 7 speed automatic. I have NO IDEA what you are talking about the "slow" automatic. I think it's perfect.

    • @savagepandaprojects
      @savagepandaprojects  Před 4 lety

      Yeah like I said it's a great car man but the 7 speed trans is so behind the technology and performance of the ZF8 or DSG/DCT. Idk if you've driven any other cars as a point of reference but it's night and day. 7AT is like In slow motion compared to the other transmissions for the competition

    Question do all g37 come with a 3.7 v6 standard? and is it better to go for a awd or rwd? Or is that just a preference thing?

    • @savagepandaprojects
      @savagepandaprojects  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes always the 3.7 unless you buy a G25 which is less common they have a smaller engine. Rwd vs AWD depends what you want really. If you live up north and see snow I think AWD is the way to go. Some people prefer rwd for handling preference but it really comes down to what you want out of the car

    I’ve been driving a 97 nissan xe for three years. It’s a slow baby rwd 4cl truck. A G37 x is the first real purchase I’m making so ask me how I feel about the “outdated” looks of the g37 😂

    Is the g37 and 370z on the same platform? I’m asking because I’ve been looking at a g35c because of how easy it is to swap between 350s and Gs. Whatever car I get, it’s the car that will carry my ass through college and fishing while building it to be a decent competitor on the track. That is if I find a g37 with a 6mt

    • @savagepandaprojects
      @savagepandaprojects  Před 4 lety

      G37 and 370z share many of the same parts that's correct same VQ37 platform. If you want something affordable/ rwd you can certainly get one for a reasonable price.
      If your wanting manual its gonna be much easier to find a Z. G37 manual is like unobtanium these days lol
